The premise was original, but it somehow ended up falling flat. Too sweet for me, and what kind of an ending was that?! Everything was still unresolved, and it felt as though the story just didn't go anywhere. Imho, the story should either have been continued, or it should have ended when Youhei comes back out again to defend his uke from senpai, (because that was a real bit of character development, and was quite significant).

Fun and original plot. Art not bad.

3.5 stars. Hot and sweet, and nicely drawn. I would reread this. I'm kind of surprised, as I wasn't expecting to enjoy it this much, (nor much at all tbh).

Yawn. All the melodrama is just so unnecessary. Why do people never communicate?

Sweet, but predictable af. I'm not sure it was best suited to the one shot format. More twists and turns and angst might have made it less predictable and sweet. Then again, it was probably supposed to be fluffy, not angsty.

Sensei, would you please give me back my heart? Oh wait you can't, because you just ripped it out and stomped on it, then put it in a blender, you know, just to make sure it was well and truly pulverised! Seriously though, that made me cry way too much. It's the first time I've rated a one shot 5 stars! It was beautifully and poetically done, both the art and the writing. It should most definitely have a tragedy tag, though. What's also kind of tragic, is that such a talented doujinsha has no other manga on this site. Have they published any other dj or original works at all? I would be happy to buy them.

3.5 stars. At the beginning, when he told us their respective professions, I mentally rolled my eyes lol. However, after reminding myself that I was in Yaoiland, I got quite into it - so much so, that I was sad when it ended. I almost didn't even read it, because it's 'only' shounen ai, but I'm glad I gave it a [one] shot... sorry, lol, couldn't help myself. I think something's wrong with me today, because I'm beginning to think that sex isn't necessary in a love story! Wwwwhat did I just say?! Anyway, people in the comments accuse this of being too short. If by that they mean that they would have liked more because they were enjoying it, then I'd be inclined to agree. However, I can't understand those complaining that the story is somehow not good, or that it's incomplete, just because it's short. Imho, the only thing really lacking in here is the sex, and: (A) this is tagged as shounen ai, not yaoi, so it's only to be expected, and (B) it should be viewed as just a snapshot of this couple's life, and we don't need to see them having sex in order to know that they do [have sex]. In summary, a few extra pages incorporating a sex scene would have been nice, (because we ARE mainly here for the porn, after all), but it's not necessary, and might even have ruined this. Imho, the flow was perfect, and shoving in an h scene, or adding anything else, probably would have messed that up. I think I may be the only one on this site who likes, (well crafted), one shots, and doesn't automatically think that they're too short! Even since well before I came to read manga, I always liked a well written short story - mainly the slightly dark and twisted, unsettling ones, by the likes of Poe and Maupassant - BUT that's beside the point... wait, what was the point? Sorry I'm just rambling, so I'll shut up. Sorry if you read this, (my rambling mess of a 'review', not the manga itself lol).
