Sekai wa Kimi de Mawatteru
Handsome good-for-nothings who depend on their faces ... and it works.
Friends Like A Lover
A series of short stories about gay schoolboys. The first is a trio of childhood friends who cannot bear to separate as they grow older, and so expand from an original couple to a threesome. The second story is related, and shows the successful dissolution of the triad. The third involves gambling for a Master/Slave relationship, and getting real about circumventing incest. The fourth story has a similar theme about non-exploitive relationships, only with a promiscuous young man. There is lots of sex and passion, but it all seems to go a bit too far to make the jump from romance to realism.
Raimei to Futatsuboshi
A heart transplant imbeds violent compulsions, foreign desires, and fragmented, very tragic memories belonging to the donor within the personality of a schoolboy. He believes and behaves as though he going mad in this supernatural thriller.
Otoshimono
A street-curb pick up leads to a drinking session and gay sex for a young man who is concerned about keeping his guest safe from physical abuse.
Beauty In The Water Tank
Rokujou Itsuki, the elite president of an absurdly class-segregated private school, is smitten with one the general schmoes, Michiru, and their forbidden friendship, crypto-affair threatens to bring down the whole school, especially when the snobby elites take offense. This peculiar set-up is so heavy and dramatic, it's out of all proportion to what is, essentially, a lighter-than-breath fluffball of a romance. It's like using a battle-ax to stir up some dandelion clocks.
Koko Ni Aru, Kimi No Oto
Ou to Hiyaku
A series of historical short stories about male prostitutes and hosts in a bordello district, and the men who buy out their contracts. Includes a ghost story and a story about palace intrigue. The stories are generally light and cute, and the drawing style is very much like C. J. Michalski's.
