Until I Meet My Husband
Based on an essay written by a Japanese Gay activist, this explores the reality of what it’s like to be gay in Japan. Very realistic but sweet. There is an SA scene but it’s brief and has a purpose. Please give it a shot.
Diamond no Ace Act 2
Ending felt ridiculously rushed but unfortunately I doubt there will even be an Act III considering 1. The author has been doing this for 16 years and is tired. Drawing and writing is already hard but to do so for a sports manga is even harder since it’s a lot of details and muscles to draw and games to plan out. You can’t just create one character but you need a whole team's worth. You can’t blame anyone for getting tired from writing something this challenging. 2. Miyuki, Kuramochi, and the third years are one of the most beloved characters and kind of the core of this manga. Without them, many will lose interest and the story won’t just be the same. 3. The first years now are weaker characters (not in terms of skill but rather personality.) I would’ve loved to see the angry pitcher from Hokkaido pop a vein bc of Sawamura but it can’t be helped. I wish we would get a epilogue with a time skip at least.
Paljae
80. Age gap seems crazy in this one but bc they’re both OP characters that reincarnated/aged for eons, I actually don’t care. Especially bc Paljae isn’t actually humanly young but he looks the part physically and lacks emotions so he doesn’t get things. I love how ridiculously poetic this is. The art is so good, the ink splatters, the painstakingly crafted backgrounds, and the world building is so good. Some scenes really give you the creep. The writing gets you sobbing. It’s cute. Main characters are lonely and cute.

I became the Despised Granddaughter of the Powerful Martial Arts Family
87. MC is pretty reserved but not weak. She isn’t the kind of “strong” characters I usually like to read. Since I like characters that are more blunt and humorous. But I like the father-daughter and grandfather-daughter relationship, although it is disappointing to see how bad characters, like the aunt, stay bad. MC is pretty smart and perceptive. It’s difficult to get good character development when MC knows how to win everyone’s favors and the bad characters stay predictable. The manhwa is similar to I’ll be the Matriach in this Life, I have a feeling the romance is going to be boring and MC is going to be overpowered like that. Hope there is proper conflict in the future so it isn’t boring. Art is really pretty though. Edit: This is pretty good. I like how you can see trauma in both MC and Yayul. And it’s crazy that MC is able to realize that Yayul is dependent on her bc he’s traumatized in a way too. But this manhwa is a little weird when it goes from this family drama to this action Murim. That’s why deaths and stuff happening in their world doesn’t seem like something readers should care about.
