So that it won't feel like Hyobin only were 'forced' to get along with their relationship just coz they had sex and/or he doesn't want to lose his 10yr long friend. And why does people keep on saying bad about Gichan kissing his friend? As far as I know it's totally normal in LGBT community, coz it isn't always that who you like will like you back but then you want affection from other people so why not just go along with it since it's more fruitful that having a 10yr unrequited love for someone who's straight and will never like you back just coz you're 'different'. Gichan's unrequited love is just too long and isn't normal and healthy for him so it's normal for him to try being in a relationship with others too..Duh, in reality, who can stand a 10yrs unrequited love for a single person.
