A theory on why in fiction women get off on non-consent is that we have been taught to strive to be pure and not think of our own sexual pleasure. In erotic fiction, the rape trope is a product of us wanting to be forced into the situation so we don't have to feel responsible and thus guilty over our sexual urges. There's a reason why a toxic book like 50 shades of grey is so prominent and popular, particularly with older women. I did think this story was gonna get rapey because the dude already tried to rape a woman and they brushed it off like it was no biggie. The fact that they are using the rape trope and then the "oh an even more dangerous rapey guy appeared so now the first rapist is the nice guy again" trope is just sad. Yaoi is erotic fiction. I find nothing wrong with stories featuring non-consensual sex. It's fiction, if that's what gets you off, I get it. I hate though when people try to morally rationalize it. No. It's not ok by real world standards. Don't bring weird logical paradoxes into the story to wash off your guilt. Also, treating female characters as disposable as this that are just straight up split up between "easy women" and "women that are flocking around men which gives the men the right to rape them". This had potential but it just made me more and more mad by the chapter. Such a shame
