Koi to Dangan
Sweet story full of clichés, however the relationship and character growth is noticeable and the story gets better in later chapters. FL is a badass, definitely not a typical 'white lotus'/'damsel in distress', however she's not a 'mary sue' as in shes OP for no reason. In the beginning shes a bit naive however she acknowledges her flaws and works on becoming stronger while also accepting her reality and the dangerous possibilities surrounding the ML. Love how we can see how much the ML loves the FL as he trusts her more and more and allows himself to be vulnerable around her. Later chapters show his yandere side and also how he's aware of how toxic this part of him is so he tries to keep it under control, honestly such a green flag! The relationship dynamic is amazing, I love how both leads enjoy being dominated and dominating. They're equally obsessed and kinda cringey. Ending felt a bit rushed but also satisfying. I like how neither families never fully accept the relationship, feels quite realistic and the obvious reaction. Random challenges occur, such as the ML going blind, but the spontaneity is fun. Would have been nice to see how he handles his job though now he's blind. Art style is gorgeous, translation is pretty good (bit rough in the first chapters). Story pacing is fast so side characters don't get much screentime and big events take place over a 1-3 chapters so it's not very fleshed out however the main point of the story is the relationship and the struggles they face due to the ML being a yakuza rather than the world building, so it works. The smut isn't very graphic but still good. Definitely gives off wattpad vibes lol. 4 stars because its a very fun silly read.
Predator Marriage
LN = 3.5/5 Couple is very cute and I love how their relationship develops, especially Leahs growth (as she defeats the spells aswell as her confidence in intimacy). Simple but well told story, the villains are a little repetitive but feel like a legitimate threat and when defeated its very satisfying. I enjoy the parallels between the FLs and MLs POV (especially the ML backstory and their first night). Smut scenes are kept interesting so it doesn't feel monotonous. Amnesia plot is well written and refreshingly makes their relationship stronger as it doesn't focus on miscommunication but rather the FL breaking free from villains control. The ending is cute but a little unsatisfying imo, the timeskip is undefined so the childs age is undetermined. We never get any real detail on the world building (ie, other countries and newly established Kurkan reign or how Leah and Ishakan govern their respective countries in different locations). We also never get confirmation on their 2nd child (presumably the heir to Estia???) Or the full potential their children. Rather than introducing temporary small villains in then end, it would have been better if we got more focus on the side characters and their relationships (felt incomplete, particularly Genins love story). Manhwa art is gorgeous and the translation is good. While some inner dialogue/description is not present, the emotions and intensity of scenes is still good.
An egocentric way of thinking
