He also believe in Tia's sharp intellect that can save the them from Lawrence's brutality as Tia saw Lawrence's tyranny on his land while on the wagon w/c she called a needless massacre. He begged her on his knees to devise a plan for the greater cause but Tia can't. They both know that the power imbalance is too great. Tia suddenly felt the regret seeing the kind & righteous Cedric who is far from his brother. Cedric would even send her to a rural village so she can leave in peace. While she was alone, she made up her mind & to use the ancient magic circle w/c has now disappeared from their world as it required a human sacrifice. She knew she can't change anything now as the odds aren't in their favor but w/ this, she can turn back time. She chewed what remained of her tongue & the flesh in her mouth to draw blood & make the magic circle. She used herself as a sacrifice & prayed that Cedric's wishes be fulfilled. The circle activated as Cedric saw the light as he was entering her tent. Tia was reincarnated back in time w/c surprised her as she's supposed to have died being the sacrifice. Cedric was angry as he thinks of it as treason. He has decided not to meddle with politics despite being the grand duke as his parents was both sentenced to death by the emperor as they were framed of treason. Tia mentioned the truth of his right to succession & how the candidates to the throne will put the empire to its fall in the future. She said she only wanted a fake marriage for 2 years until she inherits the title & become independent. Cedric left but bothered of the truth that the future may hold. He also tried to see if he really needs to step up given the attitude of the current emperor & also saw that Tia was being treated unfairly even in her own home. He agreed to Tia's plan in exchange that none of his subjects be harmed, including Tia herself.

He was like a puppy following FL everywhere on the pretense that he idolizes her dad so much but truth is, he was saved by FL when they were kids when he attempted suicide to drown himself. He knew FL is tge girl who saved her despite pretending to be male. He has no common sense cos all he knew growing up was to survive to live in the outlaw outskirts. FL pretended to be weak despite carrying her hero dad's name as to not gain the attention of ML who was a student of his dad. Yet ML can sense that FL was actually string and just hiding it. He wants her to be his as he would take the throne after all that he's been through. FL wanted to stop ML & 2nd MLs death so she tried to ignore their feeling for her. ML despite accepting FL even if she is "male" keeps getting dumped by FL saying that it was just greed as she thought ML sees him as a guy. Whenever MLs power gets out of control, FLs kiss and beating get him back to normal but exhaustedly faints. FL keeps rejecting ML to the end as she is scared to love thinking it's betrayal to her plans for her family but in the end their never ending white lies and deceptions to each other that made them both feel betrayed yet defensively thinks that things even out cos of their own deeds was over powered with their love for each other. questionable idea for the father of FL who is a hero but became poor when the royal family could have saved him from his debts. And his wife's debts couldn't have made them so poor as being a hero should have made him extra extra rich next to the royal family. Even though he's sick mentally, the royal family should have kept tabs of him and cured hum when the symptoms were still light. I think the plot for his character is unnecessarily dramatized. I like this webtoon though.

Instead of feeling mysterious, it felt blinding, confusing & disarray. Idk. Good thing Caidel looks handsome. Too much twists about their past.
