63 40 ons random poor tls! 40 ons (S2) kawaii El. In their previous life, the ML was actually manipulated by Reina's Duke father. At first he declined the Duke's offer to get the title of Duke as it is difficult being an illegitimate child but due to pressure of deaths of his people by the Duke he had no choice but to accept his help w/ conditions that he marry Reina & make her feel lonely & abandoned all her life. Reina's dad despised her after an accident that killed her mom & injured her younger brother while she was the only one who remained unharmed in the carriage. Her dad made her life miserable saying she has a curse that brought the tragedy despite Reina looking exactly like her mother & used to be loved happily by him & his brother. The ML decided to be indefferent towards her so that she won't be killed by her father who often interferes w/ decisions about Reina to continue making her life miserable as he has planted his men in their Duchy. He couldn't oppose the decisions the nobles around him do even to the point of having his ex fiance live w/ them & raise Elle, his child w/ Reina, despite knowing how a thieving snake her family is & her purpose make her feel more miserable during pregnancy. Flashback revealed that when Elle turned 15, he became a powerful spiritualist & found out the truth about his mother, Reina & the mistress ex fiancee who led Reina to death whom he considered his real mom. Elle resented his dad & punished him locked up in the same room where his mom died lonely w/o even seeing Elle on her dying moment. He left the duchy & joined their faction's enemies as he disowned his own family after learning the truth. While in the room, ML reflected on how Reina has lived & how she endured all the hardships he caused to her. Greatly regretful & grieving for all the wrong he has done, he wished to correct his decisions & ask for Reina & Elle's forgiveness for his cowardice & wrong decisions. On Reina's dying moment she also wished to correct her decisions for the sake of her child whom she was unable to touch due to her complex of how insignificant her existence & believing she has a curse that brings disaster to people. Both the ML & FL Reina actually returned to the past just before her pregnancy was discovered. Reina started changing & without her knowledge, the positive changes the ML has been showing are also because he came back in time & decided to do things for Reina & for her forgiveness.
