Just learned of he author's passing in 2020 at the age of only 23 years through the extra chapter. They left this world way too soon and my heart is aching for all their loved ones. This story, though being a short one, left behind a real impression on me and will forever stay in a small part of my heart! I'm very thankful for this work. May they rest in peace. <3 //TW for chapter 4!! rape, sexual assault; child abuse/pedophilia; mental/emotional abuse Heartwarming and wonderfully written story! The art was superb and the characters were all unique and believable, with realistic (and heartbreaking) backgrounds. The side characters, were relevant to the story, moving it in the right direction while simultaneously not taking too much spotlight. I especially loved the MC's two friends. I just wish the MC knew why his father went away that day…he did an honorable thing and I'm sure the MC's mother would be happy with what he did. On the other hand I wish for the child rapist to rot in hell, neverending suffering is the least he deserves. This work made me search up the legal process in child sexual abuse and it's sickening to read how often things like this happen without any proper consequences. || A short yet exceptionally inspiring story of compassion, growth and ultimately overcoming wounds of the past and finding love on the way - not only romantically but also platonic affection from the people supporting us. This story will make you go through a whirlwind of emotions (though I was just sweating through my eyes, I swear!) but the little journey is worth it, I assure you of that. I enjoyed this with every fiber of my being and hope to see more works by this author! Please read this story if you can. I wish the characters all the happiness in the world <3
