Once hunters step inside, the gate closes off. - No one can exit or enter the gate until the boss monster is killed or the dungeon opens on its own. Time passes much faster inside the gate than outside. - Hwang Dongsoo has arrived in the country. Woo Jinchul met him at the airport and takes him to where ML is. Woo Jinchul interrupts Dongsoo and Yoonho before they exchange blows. Dongsoo decides to leave and he goes back to the US. - Park Heejin, B-rank mage - Yoon Kijoong, C-rank tanker - Go Myung Hwan, C-rank martial artist - ML’s team of 5 entered the forest that’s been marked by ice bears. Later he names the boss ice bear “Tank”. - Kim Chul left the forest with his team and pressed ahead in the snow without sourcing food. They faced ice bears and yeti monsters. When ice elves appear, Kim Chul runs away as his team are all dead. He finds ML’s team all safe with warm gear and food supplies. He accuses them of hiding the supplies from his team and is about to attack when ML stops him with a blow to the head. - About 20 ice elves followed Kim Chul. Somehow ML can communicate with the elves. Baruka the leader of the ice elves wants ML to hand over the other hunters. ML responds by calling his shadow army and they fight the ice elves. - As ML fights Baruka, Kim Chul wakes up and attacks ML from behind. Jinho accepts ML’s offer and tells his father that he won’t be managing the Yoo Jin guild. - ML left some shadows to guard his sister and protect the neighbourhood. Then ML re-enters the Demon Castle dungeon for the 3rd time. He bought new gear, a wind robe and a water ring. - Quest: Defeat Baran the Demon King. - ML is now L81. He heads to the 76th floor of the castle. - On the 80th floor, ML meets Lady Esil, daughter of the Radir clan. Those who died from this disease couldn’t afford the machine. - An S-rank gate opened 4yrs ago on Jeju Island. - After 3 failed raid attempts, the government abandoned the island. The ant monsters have since swarmed all over the island. - There are reports that the ant monsters have mutated and evolved over time. They have now developed wings. - An ant monster with wings managed to fly to a small island of Japan and killed everyone there. It was killed by an A-rank hunter. - Koto / Goto Ryuji, a S-rank hunter from Japan. He’s the Drawn Sword guild master that has 11 S-rank hunters as members. - Ryuji meets with Go Gunhee and proposes an alliance of Japanese and South Korean elite hunters to raid Jeju Island. - The Japanese hunters will lure and distract the ant monsters out from their nest. A jamming signal will be used to interfere with the special wavelength that the ants use for communication. - The South Korean hunters will attack the ant guards and queen ant left behind. With the queen ant dead, the other ant monsters will die in a year which is the length of their life expectancy. - ML is asked by Go Gunhee to participate in the Jeju Island raid. - ML goes with Go Gunhee to observe the S-rankers in training. - Ryuji suggests the Japanese and Korean hunters have a match. - The match consists of 2 groups with 4 hunters each. - The Japanese team won the match. He stops a man from killing a woman in an alley. - Jinho has found an office for ML’s guild. - The Jeju Island raid starts. ML isn’t in the raid party. - 5k Korean hunters are on standby as the defence force. They’re there to prevent any ant monsters from infiltrating and attacking the mainland. A cameraman from the official hunter’s reporting centre who is also an A-rank hunter goes with the Korean S-rankers. - The Japanese S-rankers begin their attack and draw out the ant monsters. The jamming signal is activated from one of the Japanese naval ships. The Korean S-rankers enter the ant nest. - ML completes his daily quest. His stats are all over 200 now. - Before the raid, the most highly evolved ant monster hatched from a much larger than usual egg. It starts to kill the Japanese S-rankers. - The Korean S-rankers find the hatchery and kill the ant guards. They find the queen ant and her bodyguards next. Together the Korean S-rankers kill them all. The queen let out a cry before she died that wasn’t affected by the jamming signal. - The ants return to the nest, with the super ant arriving first. - The super ant sees the queen is dead, then it attacks the Korean S-rankers. Min Byeong Gu is killed and his head is consumed by the super ant who steals his power and knowledge. - The super ant is looking for the human king and it flies off after it detects Ryuji’s strong presence. The Korean S-rankers were all badly injured by the super ant as they struggle to fight the swarm of ants returning. - ML used Shadow Exchange to swap locations with a shadow soldier hidden in the Korean team’s shadow. - ML summoned his shadow army and they fight the swarm of ants. ML extracts the shadows of the killed ants to add to his army. - ML gave recovery potions to the other hunters except for Cha Hae-In who needed a powerful healer. - The super ant killed Ryuji and returned to the nest. - ML and the super ant fight each other. - The super ant is like ML. It’s a “Monarch”, a being that grows without limit. It uses Min Byeong Gu’s healing ability and tries to flee but is stopped and killed by ML. To heal Cha Hae-In, ML summons Min Byeong Gu after the camera is turned off. The hunters realise ML’s true power is to summon the dead. ML cancels the summons for Min Byeong Gu after he heals Cha Hae-In so he may rest in peace. - ML has now reached L100. - As the hunters evacuate from Jeju Island, ML stays behind. He and his shadow mages destroy the ant eggs in the hatchery. - ML extracts the shadow of the super ant. It’s rank is general and it has the highest rank out of all his shadows. It is also the only shadow that can talk. ML names it “Beru”. - Matsumoto Shigeo, President, Japanese Hunter Association (JHA). The Japanese participation in the Jeju Island raid was intended to give Ryuji the status of a nation-level hunter if it succeeded in closing the S-rank gate. If the raid failed, the Japanese S-rankers were going to leave behind the Korean S-rankers to die. - David Brannen, Director, US Hunter Management Bureau (HMB). - Michael Conner, Deputy Director, USHMB. - They saw the broadcast of the Jeju Island raid and want to recruit ML. They know ML is the son of Sung il-Hwan who escaped. - Beru tells ML that there were 8700 ants before the raid. Now 4k ants remain and they’re in disarray without a leader. - The ants are swarming everywhere and the defence force goes into action. ML ordered Beru to kill the remaining ants. - ML takes the mana crystal from Beru’s body and leaves the rest for the rebuilding of Jeju Island. - Thomas Andre, a US nation-level hunter and Scavenger guild master. He’s waiting for the chance to fight ML. - It takes 2 days to clean up the remaining ant monsters. - The Korean military and the Knights guild came to inspect the island on the 3rd day. They fainted after an encounter with 2 powerful beings that left by their own portals. - The Jeju island raid was ML’s debut and first official appearance as a S-ranker. He received much praise and criticism. - ML is invited to meet with Michael Conner who has a gift for ML. - Norma Selner, an upgrader: an awakened who can elevate the abilities of other awakeners and help them exceed their limits. - She can sense the connection awakeners have with the other side where they draw their powers from. - If the awakener’s power is strong, she’ll see a brilliant light. - When Norma uses her ability on ML, she sees that he is darkness itself. She stared into the abyss and the abyss stared back at her. ML’s power isn’t borrowed from the other side. His power comes from within so his power is limitless. ML is a King / Monarch who has no limits. - A B-rank gate opens near ML’s guild office. Go Gunhee gives ML permission to enter on his own. After ML enters, it becomes a Red Gate. In a rainy forest setting, ML easily defeats the tribal monsters and the final boss with his shadow army. - ML obtained a key to the Carthenon Temple from a cursed random box. The temple is the Double Dungeon that ML entered before he reawakened. - ML arrives at his guild office with a bag full of greater mana cores to fund his guild. He decides the guild name will be Ahjin guild. - Cha Hae-In visits ML’s guild office and asks to join. - ML wants to test her and he uses Shadow Exchange to take them to the KHA training centre. It confirms this skill acts like a gate. - Cha Hae-In fights and defeats Igris who is given the Demon King’s longsword to use from that point on. She defeats Igris. - Then she fights Beru but ML stops the fight before Beru kills her. She admits her interest is in him and not his guild. - A large runestone was found in the body of Kamish the dragon boss monster from the first S-rank gate 8yrs ago in the US. It’s stored with the skeletal remains of the dragon deep in the basement of the USHMB. - ML decides Cha Hae-In isn’t the right fit for his guild. - ML is invited by the Knights guild to join them on a raid in Busan. It’s for an A-rank gate that’s almost a S-rank. - Jeong Yerim, an A-rank healer from the Knights guild. - The assault team enters the gate with ML in the rear as backup. They kill a 2-headed ogre and are faced with a horde of undead. - Earlier a gate appeared unnoticed in an unused art room at Jin-Ah’s high school. After 7 days, orcs break out from the gate and start killing the students. 3 high orc shadows emerge from Jin-Ah’s shadow to fight the orcs. ML is notified by the high orc shadows. - He calls forth Beru to fight in his place with the Knights guild. ML quickly leaves the gate by riding Kaisel to Jin-Ah’s high school. - Beru leads the ant shadows to fight the undead with the Knights guild. The final boss is an arch lich guarded by death knights. - Beru easily kills the arch lich and the shadow army take out the rest. In the past, an arch lich was responsible for wiping out a guild in China. - ML arrives at the school as the orc chieftain was about to kill Jin-Ah. The spirit of Min Byeong Gu told Cha Hae-In’s spirit to warn ML to be careful with his own power. It makes ML even more curious about the source of his power. - Yuri Orlov, a S-ranker and barrier expert - A S-rank gate appears in Tokyo. The 4 remaining S-rankers of the Drawn Sword guild attend a meeting with the other guilds. - Yuri is hired after being paid a fortune to block the gate. All citizens are evacuated from Tokyo. 15 S-rankers are on standby. - S-rank gates have appeared in other countries too. - Matsumoto Shigeo, President of the JHA. - He met with Go Gunhee to ask for ML’s help with the Tokyo S-rank gate. Go Gunhee reveals he knows what was planned by Matsumoto after a black box was recovered from a Japanese S-ranker’s body on Jeju Island. Later Matsumoto gives himself up to the police in Japan. - Another gate has appeared at the now closed high school. ML enters and sees the raid party from the Courage guild has cleared the dungeon and is trying to open a pair of large doors. - ML uses the Carthenon Temple key to unlock the door. ML saves a Courage guild member from being killed by a giant stone statue. This convinces the raid party to leave and report the Double Dungeon to the KHA. - ML faces the angel of death holding the stone tablet with the commandments. The angel is the true master of the stone statue puppets in the chamber. ML is given a final test. If he survives, he will be told everything as a reward. ML must defeat the giant stone statues using his own strength. He can’t summon his shadow army. - The colossal stone statue also comes to life. - ML uses Dominator’s Touch that has upgraded to Ruler’s Authority to use the giant statues as a shield for the colossus’ eye beams. ML is now L103 and he repeatedly attacks the head of the colossus until it falls down, defeated. - An emergency quest is generated to kill the angel of death in 10 mins. The angel’s true identity is the Architect, the creator and designer of the player leveling system. ML grows stronger and faster as he fights the Architect. ML defeats the Architect and is told the answer is inside ML. A status window appears that gives ML the option to retrieve the data stored in his memory. He accepts and the data is successfully retrieved. - In ML’s mind, he sees another world with countless monsters gathered before several gates appearing in the sky. - Winged silver soldiers exit the gates and descend to fight the monsters. The 1st battle is won by the silver army. - Someone else called the Shadow Monarch summons the shadows of the dead monsters to create an immortal army. The 2nd battle is lost by the silver army. - Baran the Demon King leads the demon clans and the Beast King leads the beast monsters. They betray and fight against the Shadow Monarch and his shadow army. The Beast King ran away. Baran is killed by the Shadow Monarch who becomes ML. - Woo Jinchul, Choi Jongin and Cha Hae-In enter the temple with a group of high ranked KHA and Hunters guild members. - ML is standing motionless while the Architect greets them. The stone statues including the colossus are revived and attack them. - Choi Jongin and Cha Hae-In try to wake up ML but are stopped by the Architect who awaits the true Shadow Monarch to possess ML. - ML finally wakes up and smashes the Architect’s face with one punch. ML is able to somehow maintain his own ego while having the Black Heart of the Shadow Monarch. The conditions were met for ML’s title of Demon Hunter. He remembered how to defeat Baran and the magic power of the Black Heart acknowledges ML as its owner. ML’s mana is boosted by 100k points. - The system blocks the Architect’s access when he tries to destroy it. ML has / will devour the system (?) - A prophecy (?): “When the pillars of fire are built to uphold the heavens, an inevitable death shall find you”. - ML slashes the Architect to pieces. - After exiting the gate, ML collapses and is asleep for 3 days. - ML finds out the barrier for the Tokyo S-rank gate was a failure. Yuri Orlov was eaten by the giant monsters that broke out from the gate. The giants are destroying everything in their path. - ML decides to go to Tokyo. Jinho insists on going with him. - In Tokyo, ML and his shadow army fight the giants. Jinho assists the military with evacuating a hospital. - ML extracts the shadows from the dead giants. Shadows are sent to help hunters in other areas. Other gates throughout Japan reacted to the S-rank dungeon break and had their own dungeon breaks. - ML’s plentiful mana allows the shadows to continually regenerate. - After the other giants are killed, ML recalls his huge shadow army to gather in Tokyo to face the largest giant guarding the S-rank gate. - The army charges at the large giant. ML repeatedly attacks the head with Igris. Beru enters the head through the eye and does more internal damage. In the end the large giant is killed but it’s not the boss monster. ML enters the gate with Beru. At the end of a huge hallway is a giant bound by many chains and a magic circle. - The Rulers: ancient enemies of the Monarchs - Regia the Giant King is the Monarch of the Beginning. - Pledge of Honesty: a curse prevents you from lying. - Monsters: denizens of the Chaos World. The ones that emerge from gates are remnants of defeated armies. They were captured by the winged silver soldiers, the armies of the Rulers. - The Rulers intend to transform this world into a battlefield and fight the 9 Monarchs again. The Rulers send monsters through the gates and dungeons to inject magical energy into this world. - The density of magical energy grows by the day from the blood of monsters. Magical energy empowers the world and makes the world strong enough to withstand the effects of war. - The power ML possesses isn’t actually his. The fact ML possesses this power is proof that the original owner has betrayed the Monarchs. ML is now the enemy of the Monarchs and the Rulers. - Monarchs and Rulers have spiritual bodies that disappear when they’re killed. They can’t be made into shadows. - While Regia agrees to be on ML’s side, Regia isn’t on the side of humanity. Through the mana crystal embedded in Regia’s back, the Rulers would keep sending the message to kill all humans. - ML decides to kill Regia as the Giant King could become a calamity. ML cuts off Regia's head. ML obtains a mana crystal from Regia and levels up to L122. The S-rank gate is cleared and closes. - Jinho’s father enters the final sleep state of the Eternal Slumber disease. Jinho rushes back from Japan and sees for himself. - As Jinho leaves, ML uses Shadow Exchange and enters the hospital room to give Jinho’s father the Holy Water of Life potion. - Christopher (Chris) Reid, US nation-level hunter - Liu Zhigang, the (7-star) nation-level hunter from China - Michael Conner and Norma Selner visit Chris to warn him about his pending murder. Norma had a prophetic dream of Chris being killed. They give him the contact details for Go Gunhee if he decides to ask for ML’s help. - “Brilliant Light” / “Luminosity” fragments x 7 - 3 powerful beings attack and kill Chris Reid in his home. - The USHMB think ML’s father is the culprit. - International Guild Conference in the US: this year ML’s guild is invited to attend as the representative for South Korea. In previous years it was the Hunters guild. - The USHMB agents meet ML at the conference centre and take him to see David Brannen, the head of the USHMB. - ML is told he is a candidate to fill Chris Reid’s place. - The USHMB are offering the runestone from Kamish the Dragon. ML is more interested in the preserved body of the dragon and asks to see it. ML extracts the shadow of Kamish who says before it served the Dragon King. Unfortunately the dragon’s shadow can’t be sustained as it’s been too long since it’s death. - Before it disappears, Kamish warns of 4 humans who have borrowed the Rulers’ powers. No shadow was assigned to Jinho ever since ML helped Jinho’s father. - Jinho was tricked and kidnapped from the hotel by Hwang Dongsoo. Thomas Andre had earlier warned Dongsoo to stay away from ML. Jinho is taken to an abandoned factory and beaten up until he’s almost dead. ML uses Shadow Exchange to swap with the shadow that found Jinho. - An enraged ML starts throttling Dongsoo while another shadow takes Jinho to the nearest hospital. Thomas Andre arrives with the entire Scavenger guild. Thomas intervenes to fight ML. - Their battle destroys the surrounding area in minutes. - ML’s shadow army fights the Scavenger guild. ML smashes through Thomas’ reinforced armour and breaks every bone in Thomas’ body. ML stops when Thomas surrenders. - The only person to die was Hwang Dongsoo. - ML extracted his shadow and named him “Greed”. - ML used Shadow Exchange to swap with Beru who was watching over ML’s family. Beru healed Jinho as much as possible. - ML suspects the 4 humans who borrowed the Rulers’ powers are among the survivors who defeated Kamish from the 1st S-rank gate. - At the conference, research data is shared that shows magical energy has become concentrated in the sky above 9 countries. - The strongest concentration is above Seoul. - The murder of Chris Reid is made public and the suspect is identified as ML’s father. When asked, ML agrees that a monster should be killed. If the suspect isn’t a monster and is really his father, ML will do all he can to protect his family even if if means going against every hunter in the world. - Norma meets with ML and she asks him to protect the top hunters. She has dreams of these hunters being killed but can’t see who the killers are. ML has the same unlimited power that the killers have. ML thinks the killers could be Monarchs. When she saw the abyss in ML’s eyes that time, a voice said to go back and prepare for war. - ML asks for a list of the high priority hunters to protect. - On the last night of the conference at the party hosted by the USHMB, ML assigns shadows to all of the international guests there. Jinho is fully recovered and by ML’s side. - Thomas Andre arrives with a broken arm. He’s grateful to ML for sparing his life and those of his guild members. - Go Gunhee is attacked in his office by the Frost Monarch. Gunhee has the brightest Luminosity fragment out of the 7. Despite being stabbed in the heart, Gunhee breaks the isolation barrier around his office to let ML’s shadow escape and swap with ML. - The Frost Monarch forces ML to choose between fighting or saving Gunhee from an ice arrow. ML stops the arrow as the Frost Monarch leaves through a portal. - After Gunhee’s funeral and news of the death of Jonas the great Brazilian hunter, ML holds a press conference. - ML announces that powerful beings (“monsters”) are targeting world class hunters. He recommends those who think they’ll be targeted should stay with comrades willing to protect them. Those who have no one to stay with can contact ML through the KHA. - ML is now L133. - Woo Jinchul reluctantly agrees to be the new KHA Chairman. - Thomas Andre has fully recovered and visits ML with a gift. - Kamish’s Wrath: a dagger crafted from the dragon’s fang. - Suddenly the largest gate ever seen appears in the sky. - All citizens are evacuated from Seoul. - ML takes Cha Hae-In on a date at an amusement park. - That park is where ML’s father disappeared into a gate. - The Beast King starts attacking hunters in Seoul. - Thomas fights the Beast King but is injured. - Lennart Niermann, Richter guild, Germany - Lennart was in Seoul to meet ML. He steps up to fight the Beast King but is saved by Kaisel and ML. Lennart takes Thomas away as ML faces the Beast King. The Frost and Plague Monarchs also show themselves. Most of ML’s shadow army are frozen in ice by the Frost Monarch. - ML has to fight the Monarchs one by one. ML slices up and kills the Plague Monarch. He levels up to L146. - ML attacks the Frost Monarch from behind but is then himself stabbed through by the claws of the Beast King. - With HP at 0, ML dies but has met the requirement for the unknown passive skill of the Black Heart. ML’s power has become absolute after death. - ML wakes up and has returned to the time he was in hospital after surviving the Double Dungeon massacre. - ML retained everything except for his shadow army. - The system keeps asking if he would like to restart the world. - ML’s desire to correct his mistakes with Ashborne’s power created this illusionary world. (Ch 163) - In the beginning on another world, there was only Light and Darkness. The Absolute Being separated the Light into Messengers of God and the Darkness into the 8 Monarchs. - The forces of Light and Darkness fought eachother endlessly. - The brightest Luminosity fragment asked the Absolute Being to stop the continuous war. The neverending struggle between Light and Darkness was a source of entertainment for the Absolute Being who had no intention of stopping it. - The Luminosity fragments rebelled against the Absolute Being. Ashborne was the only Messenger of God (and the brightest Luminosity fragment?) that fought against the rebels. Ashborne died but was given a special power over the dead by the Absolute Being. - Ashborne was revived as the Shadow Monarch and his dead soldiers became his shadow army. The Absolute Being was already dead. The other Luminosity fragments became the new gods called the Rulers. - After the betrayal by Baran and the Beast King, Ashborne hid himself to let his body recover. When he emerged, the other Monarchs were already defeated by the Rulers. The Monarchs escaped to the dimensional rift to recover. - Cup of Reincarnation: the tool of god that contained the power of the Absolute Being. It turns back time by 10yrs. - The Rulers have already used the Cup many times to correct their mistakes while the Monarchs adjusted their plans with each reincarnation. The power of the Cup is almost exhausted. - The Rulers’ reason to exist is to maintain this world. Rulers lent their magical power to humans to be able to kill monsters (ie awakening). - The Monarchs’ reason to exist is for destruction. Monarchs use a body as a vessel to descend into the world. The host body must be able to handle the Monarch’s power. - The Architect created the system to search for a host body suitable for Ashborne. ML didn’t conform to the system, broke the rules and he kept exceeding expectations. Ashborne was watching the whole time and chose ML. - “I am the record of your struggles, the evidence of your resistance, and the reward for your pain”. Ashborne and ML are already one. - ML decides to return to reality while Ashborne returns to the eternal void to rest. ML’s father has been protecting ML’s body encased in ice from the Frost Monarch and the Beast King. - ML deletes the system (?) and he now has absolute power over death and darkness. ML bursts out of the ice, along with Igris and Beru. ML locates the Beast King while Igris fights the Frost Monarch. In a rainforest, ML kills the Beast King and returns to Seoul with his fangs (claws?). ML’s difference in power with the Frost Monarch is too great and ML kills him. - ML finds his badly injured father with an arm torn off. - While trapped in the dimension rift, ML’s father became a Luminosity fragment after the Rulers lent their power to him to stop the Monarchs. - With the complete advent of the Shadow Monarch, the Rulers ordered ML’s father to protect ML. They needed ML’s power to stop the other Monarchs. ML’s father can no longer handle the Rulers’ power with his weakened body. He says he always missed his family and that ML has done well. Then his body vanishes. ML keeps his father’s dagger. - A few days later, the massive gate above Seoul breaks open. - The original shadow army under Ashborne exits the gate. This army includes 3 shadow dragons. ML has inherited them and they bow to their new king. Later ML goes to an uninhabited island and holds a mock battle by dividing his shadow army in two. Beru challenges Bellion, the grand marshal under Ashborne, to a duel. - Jinho’s father visits ML to thank ML for saving his life. - He wants to repay ML in some way. ML asks him to look after his family if anything happens to him. - Massive gates like the one above Seoul appear in the sky over 8 countries. ML inherited Ashborne’s memories. ML transfers them to Woo Jinchul for him to understand the devastation to come. - The KHA gather representatives from all countries. ML warns all civilians to get away as far as possible from the gates. - ML went to China and meets up with Liu Zhigang and the 100k elite hunter army there. As the expected day of the gate break arrives, nothing comes out of the gates around the world except for Canada. ML realises the Monarchs tricked him by opening 8 gates and coming out from the gate furthest away from ML. - The Canadians didn't believe ML and rallied behind their hunters to face whatever came out of their gate. The Destruction Monarch emerges from the gate. He’s followed by his army of dragons who destroy everything in sight. The other 2 Monarchs with their armies soon follow. - ML can teleport anywhere now through normal shadows. - ML visits David Brannen at the USHMB office and asks for Kamish’s runestone. Then ML visits Norma to check his future. She’s upset that he will sacrifice himself to save everyone who won’t remember what he’s done. - ML and half of his shadow army face the monsters and dragons under the Destruction Monarch that have crossed into the US. ML extracts the shadows of those killed. Elsewhere in the US, Thomas Andre faces the Steel Body Monarch. Bellion, Beru and the other half of the shadow army emerge after hiding in Thomas’ shadow. - Steel Body Monarch is defeated. - Kamish’s runestone: Dragon Fear skill - Transfiguration Monarch immobilised (and defeated?) - Final battle between Destruction Monarch and ML. - The magical energy generated from their battle summons the Rulers’ armies to arrive through multiple gates. - Destruction Monarch is defeated after ML cleaved his body almost in half with his father’s dagger and the Rulers pierced through his body with their spears. - ML asks to use the Cup of Reincarnation for the last time so he can take on everything and save everyone with his own power. After crossing the light bridge, Yoo JH tests ML again and ends up throwing ML off the bridge and into the mouth of a sea serpent. Hidden Scenario: Commander slayer Aim: Slay the sea commander and escape within 10 days. - Junghyeok Yu / Yoo JoongHyuk the regressor, pro gamer, and the protagonist. He killed everyone in his train cabin in #1 scenario. He’s lost his humanity after having regressed 3x already. He’s become a monster who monopolises everything, focused only on achieving his goal. - Low level Dokkaebi Bihyeong, entered a (channel) stream contract w/ ML who offered to make him the Dokkaebi King. ML will keep refusing to take a supporting constellation. - Star Stream System: the means by which footage is broadcast across the entire galaxy. The subscribers are the constellations who reside in galaxies far away. Subscribers are either thrill seekers or incarnation seekers. The Dokkaebi are called the Streamers. - In this world, stories are a source of power. Constellations without stories can’t earn coins, and they can’t support any new incarnations without coins. When a constellation fails to spread their stories through their incarnation, they are forgotten and perish. - Stream Contract: For a share of the coins earned, a Dokkaebi hosts an incarnation of a constellation on its channel. In return, the Dokkaebi who owns the channel receives a share of the coins earned by the incarnation as commission. - ML makes Bihyeong open the Dokkaebi Shop and he buys 4 bags of hammer seahorse’s mucous and 4 large stone hog thorns. He plans to escape from inside the sea serpent before the stomach acid floods in. The mucous helps to protect ML from the acid. - With the thorns piercing it from the inside, ML kills the sea serpent and clears this scenario in 4 days. - Bihyeong offered a full written contract to ML. 100% coins earned to ML as Bihyeong still received a decent commission on top of that. ML also insisted on receiving a 5000 coin contract fee. - ML finds the nucleus of the sea commander and offers it up on the Dokkaebi Auction House to trade for “Broken Faith”. Bounty Hunt scenario: Obstruction removal (thugs = grunts) Aim: A group of grunts are interfering w/ the pacing of the story. Eliminate them within 5 mins. - Cheolsu Bang 34yo, thug leader and assault captain from the Cheoldu gang. Based in Geumho station. - ML entered the area of #2 scenario that’s covered in poisonous fog. He uses an item bought earlier, Ellain Monkey’s Lungs, to neutralise the poison. After changing clothes, he gathers food supplies from a store and hears a cry for help. He carries a woman called Huiwon Jeong to Geumho station and forces his way in. - He’s confronted by some of the group in control of the station. ML w/ his higher stats beats up these men led by Cheolsu, completing the Bounty Hunt scenario. - Inho Cheon, leader of the Cheoldu gang. He has the “incite” skill and is good at crowd control. - ML is reunited w/ the 4 other train survivors. - The station has 87 people including ML. They’re divided into the major group and the minor group. Under Inho, the major group are in charge of food distribution (ie monopoly). ML is invited by Inho to join the major group and ML refuses. - Inho incites the others to demand ML distribute the food he collected. ML offers to sell the food for coins. - ML advises Sangah, Hyeonseong, Gilyeong and Huiwon to eat what food they have by the end of the day. - Huiwon Jeong 27yo, Kendo skill, Demon slaying. - As a “crouching figure” (yet to be awakened), this is a super evolutionary attribute in TWSA, and could evolve into a rare or legendary attribute based on her experience. Area of #2 Scenario: a new Dokkaebi called Biryu adds new penalties, ie a food penalty (food may no longer be stockpiled, all foods removed), and a daily survival fee (100 coins). Sub-scenario: Food acquisition Aim: Hunt and cook a monster that you can consume as food. (No time limit) - ML takes his team into the tunnels to search for an alternative food source, ie go monster hunting. They are joined by Myeongoh (major group). ML tells everyone to invest all of their coins to boost their stats while leaving enough for the survival fee. - The team see dead ground rat monsters. ML helps fashion weapons from their bones for everyone. They see live ground rats and kill them without anyone getting hurt. - Myeongoh is caught and dragged away by a ground rat. Sangah tries to help but is dragged along w/ him. ML follows after them w/ the help of Gilyeong’s ability with insects. ML takes this opportunity to locate the ground rats’ lair and treasure trove. - ML arrives at the lair and sees Myeongoh and Sangah held prisoner. ML throws his thorn retained from the sea serpent into the wall near Myeongoh. This disturbance makes the Warden appear. Sub-scenario: Defeat the Warden of the Dark (demonic species) - Sangah can understand what the Warden is saying w/ her interpretation skill. ML’s 4th Wall skill nullifies the fear aura from the Warden. ML summons the Dokkaebi Biryu to retrieve a broken sword called “Broken Faith” from the auction house. - Using the “White Star Weapon Aura” magic skill ML bought earlier, the sword becomes “Blade of Faith”, the most effective weapon against the demons. - ML activates the 2nd Bookmark for Hyeonseong and temp. gains the weapon proficiency skill. He defeats the Warden but doesn’t kill it. Myeongoh sneaks up and deals the last blow. Notifications pop up about the Demon King, the God of Wrath and Lust, that was connected to the Warden. The Demon King has cursed Myeongoh and will hunt him down. - ML and the others open the treasure chests. Most of the good items have already been taken by Yoo JH. ML finds a mana brazier and uses it to cook the meat from the ground rats. - The last chest is the Black Random Item Box that swaps low grade items placed inside it w/ high grade ones. ML puts the “Broken Faith” and the nucleus from the Warden in the chest. - ML reopens the chest to find the sword ‘Unbreakable Faith’, a constellation artifact that belonged to the hero Kaizenix. The sword is imbued w/ mastery over ether and can summon the true “Blade of Faith” with fire, dark and holy properties. The wielder’s stamina and strength are also increased. - The team return to the station w/ the meat but find a tense atmosphere there, as many are desperate to get enough coins for the survival fee. Inho incites them by turning their attention to ML and his coins. When ML refuses to share his coins, Inho’s lackeys attack but ML maims them w/ his sword. - ML points out the obvious truth that they’re all afraid to confront: that Inho and the Cheoldu gang have killed others to get their coins and boost their stats. Encouraged to fight back, the station soon becomes the scene of an all out deadly brawl. - Huiwon kills the man who tried to rape her before. - Her attribute awakens and she evolves into the Judge of Evil (Heroic), the most powerful of the 3 judges. For his help w/ her evolution, she won’t hesitate to fight for ML. She has a new personal skill, “Time of Judgement” which only works when the intended target is deemed an evildoer. She uses it against the gang, w/ Inho last. Main Scenario #2: The Encounter Aim: Get through the tunnel and meet w/ the survivor of the 1st shelter zone (ie Chungmuro station). No time limit. - After the battle, most survivors left Geumho station and just 5 people remain. Myeongoh is nowhere to be seen. - ML’s team are Sangah, Hyeonseong, Gilyeong and Huiwon. - At Dongguk University station, ML goes outside and destroys a statue of the constellation for Great Monk Samyeong. He broke the seal to obtain the powerful relics that used to belong to Samyeong. - ML gives the robes to Huiwon (increases a sense of justice and will), and the prayer beads to Sangah (enhances mana recovery). - ML loudly praises Samyeong for the relics to help protect Korea from invasion once again. Samyeong is moved and forgives ML for destroying the statue. Sub-scenario: Illusory prison (spectres) Aim: Escape the illusory prison within the 1hr time limit. - Jihye Lee 17yo, 2nd yr high school girl. - “Scarred Sword Demon” as she killed her best friend (which was broadcast during #1 scenario). - She’s a naval commander supported by the God of Naval Warfare constellation. Ironically she gets seasick. - Skills: blade proficiency, demon slaying, perfect senses, ghost steps. She calls Yoo JH her master. - The Illusory Prison is a zone that triggers your trauma to drive you insane. ML’s 4th Wall skill nullifies it’s effects and the prayer beads also protected Sangah. ML obtained the Dispel Evil skill after destroying Samyeong’s statue and he uses it to dismantle the prison. ML defeats the spectres that created the prison and collects the spectre spirit stones. - After they are confronted by Jihye Lee who is amazed they defeated the spectres. She leads them to Chungmuro station. The team have completed #2 Scenario. - At Chungmuro, ML asks Jihye about Yoo JH and to let him know that his companion returned alive. Jihye leaves to get Yoo JH. - The team head for the bathroom. Gilyeong was in a hurry and tripped, accidentally trespassing on private property and told to pay a fine or die. ML steps in and agrees to pay but only to Pildu Gong directly. ML offers to give Pildu info on Yoo JH if he lets ML’s team stay in his room. When ML still refuses to pay, Pildu has a turret open fire on ML, but he’s saved by Hyeonseong w/ the shield picked up from the ground rats’ lair. - Yoo JH arrives with Jihye and helps ML by pointing his sword at Pildu so ML’s team can go to the bathroom. - ML asks Yoo JH why he’s leaving Pildu and his gang alone, when he just needs Pildu for the next scenario. Yoo JH is indifferent and says it doesn’t concern him. - ML proposes a plan to his team on how to defeat Pildu. They need to lure him out of the militarised zone, which covers the largest room in Chungmuro. - Unable to find a room, ML gives his team 2 options. - Kill some innocent people and take over their room. - Or follow his directions to find the hidden green zones that appear after the scenario has activated. - They split up, w/ 3 taking a hidden room on the tracks 1st. ML and Gilyeong fight the monsters until they find a hidden room for 2, but Yoo JH is occupying a spot w/ only 1 spot left. - ML hands over Gilyeong and continues to battle the monsters. - ML swallows a spectre spirit stone which temporarily turns him into a ghost species that the monsters can’t see, but it also amplifies traumatic memories. ML can cope due to his 4th Wall skill. A foreign woman appears and asks who is ML. She’s Anna Croft. - She has the power to enter a person’s consciousness. - She plans to build a new future based on her visions. - ML reminds Anna of the sea serpent core that she traded for Broken Faith. The core was used to help put an Arch-demon’s eyeball in her eye socket. Anna was able to detect ML because his 4th Wall skill was weakened. She disappears when the 4th Wall fully returns. - ML wakes up to see his team around him and the monsters gone as the night is over. He sees Yoo JH who is trying unsuccessfully to poach Gilyeong. Main Scenario #3: Green zone / Emergency defense Aim: Occupy a green zone (ie room) in the station and survive the monsters that emerge each night at midnight (for 8hrs). This scenario will last 7 days. - NB: stealing a green zone is allowed. - Anna Croft, prophet and saviour (legendary attributes). - Skills: Future vision, Past vision, Insight, Clairvoyance, Mental barrier, Lie detection, Upper class magic, and Arch-demon’s gaze. - Pildu Gong 48yo, head of the Chungmuro Landlord Coalition and known as the Armament Lord of Chungmuro. He’s 1 of the 10 evils (ie the main villains of TWSA). The Coalition have a monopoly over most of the areas in Chungmuro. They claim ownership over public spaces and then charge people for rent. - Constellation: Defense Master - Private Property skill, Militarised Zone stigma - ML puts into action a plan to awaken Hyeonseong‘s attribute and end #3 scenario for good. ML asked Jihye for help and split the team up so they could target the green zones simultaneously and destroy them quickly. ML and Hyeonseong go to the largest room. Hyeonseong’s attribute awakens when he sees the Coalition bullying a woman. - Hyeonseong‘s awakened attribute: The man who regained a sense of justice (rare) - Stigma: Great mountain push, Great mountain crush - Skills: Bayonet, Camouflage, Patience, Justice, Weapons proficiency. - Hyeonseong uses his new stigma Great mountain crush to punch a hole through the floor and destroy Pildu’s green zone. - There is more than 1 channel in Chungmuro, and the Dokkaebi are upset about the destruction. Pildu was on Biryu’s channel. - A pop up message says all of the green zones in the station have been destroyed. The main scenario system has been overloaded. The current scenario is adjusted and is now “Emergency Defense”. Aim: All green zones destroyed. Spawning all remaining monsters at once. Survive the onslaught of monsters for the remaining duration of 8hrs. - ML uses Incite from his 3rd Bookmark of Inho on the people around Pildu to pressure him to use his skills to kill the monsters. - Pildu’s constellation Defense Master runs out of coins and asks for help from other constellations. Earlier ML bought a support contract and 10 mana potions from the Dokkaebi shop. - ML offers a sponsorship contract to the Defense Master, where ML is the employer and the constellation is the employee. - After agreeing to extra clauses added by the Defense Master, they sign the contract. ML gives Pildu a mana potion then gives the rest to Sangah to give to Pildu periodically. - ML w/ Huiwon, Gilyeong and Jihye head to the hidden dungeon to save Yoo JH. ML wants to prevent Yoo JH from regressing by death. Hidden Scenario: Cinema dungeon Aim: Defeat the master of the cinema dungeon. No time limit. - At the cinema, there are 9 floors incl. the basement floor. “Simulation” the cinema master is on 8th floor. - The dungeon stages are hidden within the movie posters. Clear these stages to receive the rewards. Most of the rewards correlate to the movie theme. The key to clearing a stage is to produce a movie ending that pleases the cinema master (ie kill everything). - The movie poster is torn once the stage is cleared. - A group of 4 men arrived before ML’s team and mention buying the info from “the Prophets”. - Jurassic Park: ML’s team are teleported into the movie by a beam of light. Gilyeong makes friends w/ a large prehistoric insect. - A T-Rex appears, chasing after the men from the other group. - ML’s 4th Wall blocks the “carnivorous fear” of the T-Rex. - Gilyeong uses a new skill, accessing a dinosaur encyclopedia and says the T-Rex is vulnerable to side attacks. - Gilyeong summons 2 large insects that fly towards the T-Rex’s eyes and die as they blind the T-Rex. - ML, Huiwon and Jihye work together and bring down the T-Rex. ML uses the fire ether of his sword to almost sever the neck while setting the T-Rex on fire. ML receives the reward of an “Enraged T-Rex DNA ampule” which increases all stats by +10 for 30 mins. It can only be used in the cinema dungeon. - One of the dying men mention the Prophets as “guardians of the revelation”. ML thinks the Prophets are also Readers like him. - At the lab, ML finds the stash of potions to amplify all stats. The team play rock-paper-scissors, but ML uses his ORV skill and wins most of them while Jihye gets none. - All movie posters torn on Floors 2 and 3. - Titanic: Jihye kills the villain which clears the stage. - On 5th floor is the rewards room w/ props and costumes used in various movies that have now become high grade items. (Only 2 items per person) - Huiwon chooses a replica samurai sword. ML picks the Shield of Hercules replica for Hyeonseong. The Thor’s Hammer replica chose Gilyeong (it rejected Jihye). ML chooses reinforced body armour for himself. - ML’s team clear a movie on Floor 6 and receive the “Sharp Observation” skill book. It allows the user to approximate a character’s overall stats. - Battle of Myeongnyang: On Floor 7, they enter a movie about a famous historical naval battle in Korea. They are on 1 ship but have no support from what should be 12 other ships led by Admiral Sunsin Lee, a national hero. The cinema master most likely changed the plot. They face many enemy ships on rough, stormy seas. - Jihye is distraught and traumatised as this was the favourite movie of the best friend she killed. Jihye is the descendant of Admiral Eokgi Lee, comrade-in-arms of Admiral Sunsin Lee. Eokgi didn’t leave behind enough stories to become a major constellation. Sunsin chose his friend’s descendent as his incarnation, and to stop Jihye from becoming a demon after killing her friends. Bounty scenario: Those who seek death shall live, those who seek life shall die. Aim: The God of Naval Warfare has called for your help. Encourage Admiral Lee’s incarnation Jihye Lee and lead the Battle of Myeongnyang to victory. (2hr time limit) - ML encourages Jihye by using his knowledge of her character. He tells her to survive and knows she doesn’t want to die here. - Jihye acquires a new stigma, “Ghost Fleet”. The missing fleet appears as 12 ghost ships, commanded by Jihye w/ the spirit of Admiral Lee. The enemy ships are destroyed. - ML receives the stigma “Sword Song” from the God of Naval Warfare. 8F Sky Garden: - Yoo JH has become the puppet of the cinema master. - ML’s team take turns fighting an incredibly strong Yoo JH. From his profile, ML saw the transmission skill was in effect which allows Yoo JH to reactivate any skills he learnt from his past lives. - Gilyeong contacts a giant monarch species insect. - ML drinks the T-Rex ampule and uses his OVR skill to hear Yoo JH’s thoughts as they fight. He’s in despair, feels all alone and wants to regress again. ML screams out against those thoughts, using his in-depth knowledge of TWSA. - Yoo JH regains control of his mind briefly but succumbs again to the cinema master. A giant insect interrupts the fight by breaking the roof and attacking Yoo JH. ML is unaffected by the mind control skill of the cinema master due to his 4th Wall skill and defeats him. - Yoo JH collapses and the giant insect flies away. - ML’s team see shooting stars, a sign that another main scenario is on its way. #3 scenario has just ended. - Jihye stays w/ Yoo JH. ML goes back with Huiwon and Gilyeong. Huiwon asks who ML is and he replies that he partially knows the future. ML asks Huiwon to become his companion. Huiwon will think it over. ML’s team return to Chungmuro. Sub scenario: Leader election Aim: Take the white flag installed at the centre of the platform within 30 mins. The winner is elected leader of Chungmuro station. The leader will be granted absolute authority over others at the station. - ML captures the flag after commanding Pildu to stay down. ML gives the Shield of Hercules to Hyeonseong who activates the area defence skill against the others. - ML gives the remaining 29 people in the station a choice to stay under his command or to leave. 5 people leave. - ML has the power to punish members who disagree w/ him. Main Scenario #4: Capture the flag Aim: You must plant your flag at your specified target flagpole within 12 days, or everyone in your group will die. - The target is Changshin station. - Defend your flag and your flagpole. - Only the leader has the power to plant flags. - The flag colour changes from white, red, navy, brown, purple, to black. A buff is applied and stats boosted for the whole group as the colour changes. - Each station had different #3 scenarios w/ different time limits. - The safety barriers deactivate around Chungmuro station, allowing free movement between stations. - ML puts Pildu in charge of guarding the station. - 4 people from Dongdaemun arrive on motorbikes to offer an alliance. When Ilhun claims he hasn’t heard of Yoo JH, ML has Sangah pull them up w/ the motorbikes using her magic threads that were secretly attached earlier. - ML’s team fight the Dongdaemun people and those waiting in ambush. - ML’s team return to Chungmuro to see it under attack from Myeong-Dong who allied w/ Dongdaemun. - Pildu activates the militarised zone while ML and the others fight those fleeing. ML picks up the Myeong-Dong flag and the Chungmuro flag turns red. - ML questions Ilhun who says the info about Chungmuro was from the Prophets at Dongmyo. Ilhun starts to choke, a sign of hypnosis to stop him from leaking info about the Prophets. - ML goes back to the cinema to check on Jihye and Yoo JH. He leaves a note for Yoo JH to read when he’s awake. - ML w/ Huiwon, Sangah and Hyeonseong go to Myeong-Dong. They see 3 men flee on motorbikes. - Everyone in Myeong-Dong are dead. ML puts his flag in the flag pole and claims Myeong-Dong. - ML shares his authority w/ Sangah and makes her the vice-representative of Chungmuro. Hidden Scenario: The king’s path Aim: Take over 10 or more stations within 10 days. Penalty: You and everyone in your group will die if you fail to take over at least 1 station per day. - Donghoon Han 17yo, basement dwelling hermit king of shadows - 1 of 7 kings of Seoul. He has severe social anxiety. - Constellation: Shadow Behind the Curtain - His AOE Internet skill uses the Dokkaebi network to allow the installation of virtual LAN cables to select devices. It works as long as he’s conscious. - ML w/ Huiwon and Hyeonseong who carries Ilhun arrive at Dongdaemun History and Culture Park station. It’s already claimed by Dongmyo. Ilhun just became a wanderer which means Dongdaemun has also been taken over. Dongmyo set a trap for Dongdaemun and Myeong-Dong, knowing they would fail to take over Chungmuro. While their forces were out, Dongmyo planned to take over Dongdaemun and Myeong-Dong. - Seongguk Lee, vice-rep of Dongmyo, arrives w/ some men. ML can’t read his character profile but blocks his Search Attribute skill w/ 4th Wall. ML thinks Seongguk is a Reader. - ML pretends to be Yoo JH. ML makes Seongguk transfer the rights to him for Dongdaemun History and Culture Park. - ML demands the rights for Dongdaemun as well, but has to meet the Dongmyo leader for that. ML follows Seongguk to Dongmyo. - ML enters a large tent and meets Donghoon Han sitting before a computer w/ the station flag. His profile says Donghoon’s currently under a powerful hypnosis. Donghoon uses his Comment Manipulation skill to manage online comments about the Prophets. - Since the scenarios began, internet access over all of Seoul was blocked due to the streaming channels setup by the Dokkaebi. - ML calls Donghoon a puppet and confirms w/ Seongguk that he’s really the leader. He brought ML to the tent as it’s soundproof due to the Block Soundwaves skill. - Seongguk admits to being a Prophet and knows about Yoo JH’s ability to regress. The Prophets want to help him through his current regression. He refers to TWSA as the Book of Revelations. He claims the Book was damaged and the original copy lost, but the Prophets have memorised fragments of the book. - Seongguk wants to be allies under Yoo JH’s command. ML makes him kneel and recite his attributes. Seongguk is a hypnotist and the 9th Renouncer. His number signifies the order in which the Prophets stopped reading TWSA. - Outside of the tent, Minseob Jung picks a fight with Huiwon but are stopped by ML and Seongguk. Minseob is the 1089th Renouncer and suspicious of ML. - ML bought the Enhanced Hearing skill to eavesdrop on the discussion between Seongguk and Minseob. - ML convinces Seongguk and Minseob that he’s Yoo JH by talking about himself and his exploits. - There are 48 Renouncers that Minseob knows of. Seongguk tells ML about a group of Prophets called the 12 Disciples who claim to have read more of TWSA than the others have, and want to take control of this world. Only 11 Disciples are known so far w/ ML most likely the 12th. - ML is given Dongdaemun and Cheonggu. The Chungmuro flag turns navy. This gives the ability to use group chat w/ group members. - ML now has a total of 5 stations. ML’s target station Changsin is ruled by the Tyrant King, 1 of the 7 Kings of Seoul. - The Tyrant King has the largest territory in the northern Seoul area. It’s said he takes beautiful men and women as his concubines. He either kills or makes slaves of the ugly people. - He has a powerful supporting constellation. - Seongguk and Minseob tell ML about a secret weapon being prepared against the 12 Disciples and the Tyrant King. - Tomorrow night is “the Night of the Prophets”, a meeting excl. 12 Disciples. ML is invited to attend. - In the group chat, ML tells Huiwon and Hyeonseong that he’ll end things today. ML buys a hermit cloak and a mental stimulant potion, then sneaks over to Donghoon and frees him from hypnosis. - ML promises not to exploit Donghoon. ML asks him to do nothing. Donghoon’s skill allows ML’s mobile to connect to the internet. ML can also see the Prophets’ group chat. The 36 Prophets on the group chat are all early Renouncers, with no Disciples. He has Seongguk’s and Minseob’s mobiles disconnected. - With Huiwon and Hyeonseong, ML attacks Dongmyo. ML captures the hidden flag from Minseob who was the true leader. The Chungmuro flag turns brown. - ML tells Minseob and Seongguk that he’s not Yoo JH. Under oath, Minseob and Seongguk must follow ML’s orders and not reveal to anyone who he really is. The next day ML captures nearby stations. He now owns a total of 9 stations. - The meeting is at the ownerless Anguk station and was setup by the 1124th Renouncer who hasn’t turned up. ML attends w/ Minseob, Seongguk, Huiwon and Hyeonseong. - The secret weapon is unveiled as a red meteorite. - The Prophets were taking turns supplying it w/ mana for days and it’s due to hatch tonight. ML realises it’s a trap and tries to flee w/ his team but is blocked by a barrier. - The meteorite hatches a catastrophe meant for the #5 scenario. It’s a lesser fire dragon. A mid level Dokkaebi appears and presents a hidden scenario. Hidden Scenario: United we fall, divided we fall (dragon) Aim: Defeat the minor catastrophe or survive it’s attack within 20 mins. - ML tells everyone to look for a hidden plate. The number equals how many people can enter to activate the absolute shield for 10sec. ML is called over to share a plate with a man, who confirms ML’s suspicions that he’s a Disciple. He’s the 1195th Renouncer and the 5th Disciple. He has others on his side and they’ve taken Blue Ice Pills to help w/ taking down the dragon. - The 5th Disciple wants ML to join them, and threatens ML w/ losing Chungmuro that is under attack now by the other Disciples. He claims that their King has read TWSA to the end, which ML knows is a lie. - ML evades the dragon and claims Anguk station w/ his flag. He owns 10 stations and completes the king’s path hidden scenario. - He selects the “King of No Killing” option (a resurrection skill based on karma points, ie approx 1 resurrection = for every 100 lives saved) and takes the full force of the Flame of Destruction from the dragon. He dies but survives due to the option he chose. - ML’s consciousness reawakens and his OVR skill activates. He’s secretly watching the attack unfold by the Disciples on Chungmuro station. Jihye is injured and seems to ask him for help. - ML’s consciousness shifts to immerse w/ the POV of Yoo JH who has arrived to help and repay his debt. - ML’s body regenerates and is revived back at Anguk. He’s naked and is given Samyeong’s robes to wear by Huiwon. He retrieves his flag and his sword. - ML is able to choose 1 of Yoo JH’s skills. Using his skill as a Reader, he chooses Cold Resistance and swallows the 5 Blue Ice pills left from those who died. His attacks gain 200% in ice damage. - He activates the dark property of his sword which has ice ether added due to the pills. Lastly he activates Sword Song and attacks the weak point shown on the dragon. - ML struck the dragon twice before getting hit by its tail. He throws his sword and stabs it in the heart. The dragon freezes and dies. ML cuts out the fire dragon nucleus. - Some low level Dokkaebi have requested a plausibility review. - The mid level Dokkaebi reappears and increases the difficulty of #4 scenario by reducing the time limit to 48hrs. ML, Huiwon, Hyeongseong, Seongguk, and Minseob go back to Chungmuro. - Yoo JH has beheaded 5 of the Disciples. The head of the king and 1st Disciple can still talk as he has the Avatar skill. - ML identifies the 1st Disciple as an author who plagiarised TWSA. The plagiariser tries to ally with Yoo JH, but his head gets crushed when Yoo JH goes against his prediction of killing ML. - The plagiariser’s attributes were “Last Renouncer” and “author of SSSSSS-grade Infinite Regressor”. - ML convinces Yoo JH to stay to avoid being punished (as a member of ML’s group), and to achieve what he wants in the time left for #4 scenario. - Using Pildu’s laptop, ML works w/ Minseob and Seongguk to write a fake version of the Revelations, ie SSSSSS-grade Infinite Regressor. With Donghoon’s help, ML puts up this fake version for sale on the auction house. 16 purchases are made. - Ilhun uses his skill to spread rumours about the fake version. Ilhun also goes to spy on the Tyrant King’s HQ at Dobong. - Minseob monitors activity above ground. OVR skill: There are 3 levels - Level 1: Read a character’s basic feelings and desires. - Level 2: Read a character’s thoughts. - Level 3: Enter a character’s body and experience exactly what they’re experiencing. - There are 2 conditions for activating Level 3. (a) ML’s consciousness must be faint and unstable. (b) Both ML and the character have to be thinking of eachother. - ML goes to sleep and connects secretly w/ Ilhun, then w/ Minseob. It’s confirmed that the Tyrant King, the plagiariser, and other kings are moving towards Gwanghwamun as planned. - The latter half of #4 scenario will become a proxy war between the high constellations. ML selects Sangah, Gilyeong and Seongguk to join him and a small group heading to Gwanghwamun. ML leaves Hyeonseong and Pildu to guard Chungmuro. Huiwon is sent on a separate mission. - ML’s group stop by and pay their respects at a shrine dedicated to one of China’s greatest generals, Guan Yu. His constellation Lord of the Beautiful Beard blesses the group which increases everyone’s stamina and strength by +5 for the next 24hrs. - ML’s group are approached by a historical Korean military army led by the King of Beauty, Jiwon Min. - Jiwon Min 26yo, Actor (rare), King of Beauty (heroic). - Support constellation: Lady of the Sleeping Brocade (ie Queen Jinseong, the last Queen of Silla). - A perfect match, Jiwon is completely in sync w/ her constellation. Her army will remain loyal for as long as she remains beautiful. Also known as the King of Seongdong-Gu. The senior soldier beside her is a loyal hwarang called Gwanchang. - Jiwon’s constellation proposes a Bounty Hunter scenario for ML to join Jiwon’s side and assist her to defeat the other kings. - As the reward is just 2000 coins, ML rejects the proposal. - Jiwon continues to insist, so ML makes a counter offer to buy her and her army for 20,000 coins. - ML tells her that money can’t solve everything and ML’s group walks away. ML is notified that Jiwon is attracted to him. - ML can now see Seongguk’s profile and he notices Seongguk has become a character, w/ his 9th Renouncer attribute gone. - Seongguk Lee 25yo, hypnotist (rare). - Support constellation: Manager of the Old Ticker. - Skills: Hypnosis, Bluff, Weapons proficiency, Search attribute. - National Palace Museum of Korea: ML’s group are waiting for the Tyrant King and others to leave before entering to get the relics. - The fake version of the Revelations mentioned a valuable sword relic in the museum, the 4 Yin Demon Decapitator. The sword is real and was intended to lure out the Tyrant King and the plagiarist. - The mid level Dokkaebi appears and upgrades the #4 scenario. A golden throne emerges from the ground. Main Scenario #4 (updated): King’s qualification Aim: Occupy the ruler’s throne on the main street of Gwanghwamun within 8hrs. - Only those who have completed the King’s Path can take part in this scenario. The King to sit on the throne will have absolute command over the other kings. The 4th scenario was put in place for the historical constellations, and to elect the 1 true king who is worthy of that throne. - Qualification 1: You must have at least a black flag. - No one has yet attained a black flag, which requires at least 20 stations to be occupied. With no vacant stations left, the only way is to take another leader’s flag. - ML’s group head to the Seoul Museum of History to find a disc-shaped relic called a Ganpyeongui. As his group heads inside, ML is attacked by Wangin Chu and his group. Jiwon and her army suddenly appear and come to help ML. - In the historical battle of Hwangsanbeol, Silla won but Gwanchang was beheaded by Gyebaek. - Wangin Chu 33yo, bit-part actor (normal) - Constellation: Last Hero of Hwangsanbeol (ie General Gyebaek). - Stigma: Baekje swordsmanship, Fight to the death, Command detachment. (NB: He is highly in tune w/ his powerful constellation). - Sangah has found the Ganpyeongui. - The fight between Jiwon’s army and Wangin’s group becomes a reenactment of the historical battle. “Dramatisation” occurs and creates an augmented reality that shifts the battle to the time and space in which the constellations fought. - ML uses the special ability of the Ganpyeongui, “Echo of the Stars” to seek help from a high constellation. He calls upon the leader of the Hwarang, the Great King Heungmu. Otherwise known as Yusin Kim. - At 1st Yusin refuses ML’s request as he doesn’t want to interfere in the flow of history. Sangah calls out and speaks about how he must have regrets, or has he already forgotten the sacrifices of the many young Hwarang and people of Silla? While history can’t be changed, he could still make a difference to those who are still here. Hwangsanbeol may be over for him but it isn’t over for them. - Yusin grants the request and temporarily possesses ML while granting him protection. ML’s sword receives the power of the constellation artifact, Blue Dragon sword. ML stabs his sword into the ground and activates a stigma that calls upon all Hwarang. Undead skeletons of deceased Hwarang emerge and attack. Wangin is stabbed several times and then beheaded. - ML orders the undead army to continue fighting as they head north. ML’s group follows behind and ML picks up the flags from the dead. The Chungmuro flag turns purple. - Yusin Kim tells ML that he owes him a favour as Yusin had to break the law of plausibility to help ML. Yusin offers to become ML’s supporting constellation but ML refuses. Yusin tries to make ML kill Sangah to force ML to accept. ML uses 4th Wall and expels Yusin from his body. The undead army disappear. - Jiwon comes to say goodbye. ML says next time they meet, it’ll be as enemies. Jiwon thinks of them as friends. - Gwanghwamun: ML meets Minseob. - ML is told 9 kings have entered the museum. There are 7 purple flags and 2 brown flags. 2 of the purple flags are much darker and belong to the Tyrant King and the plagiarist. - National Palace Museum of Korea: ML takes Gilyeong and Sangah w/ him. Hidden Scenario: Relic of trials Aim: Clear a relic dungeon of your choice. No time limit. - ML chooses the 3-man dungeon: the Room of the Copper Acupuncture Men. They are teleported to the dungeon and surrounded by 100 copper men who attack. ML tells Sangah and Gilyeong to aim for the acupuncture points on their bodies that will kill them. After they clear the dungeon, ML receives the Pressure Point skill as a special reward. - They enter a hidden dungeon within this hidden scenario, the Room of the North Star. They are confronted by the Chungjeongno group who’d lost their king, which ML maims then Gilyeong and Sangah finishes off. Other groups in this lobby room are waiting for their kings to emerge from the doors on the other side. - The Tyrant King has already come through and the other kings have formed an alliance against him. - The Maitreya King: - Sanggyeong Cha 26yo, Cult leader (heroic). - Constellation: One-Eyed Maitreya. - Stigma: Promised land, Mind reading, Accuse as the devil. - Mr Cha uses Mind reading on ML and sees the summary “a devil who should not be messed with”. At 1st ML is accused of being a devil, then it’s revoked. Suyeong Han is Mr Cha’s assistant and approached ML to join the alliance. ML is suspicious of him as he can’t see his character profile. - Giyeong Yun, the Coward King - Baekho Kim, the Brawl King - Taeseong Gu, the Earth Dragon King. His constellation is most likely Gyeonhweon, the late Baekje king. - The Tyrant King killed 2 kings for their star jewels, which means he has 3 jewels in total. The other 4 kings have 1 jewel each. - The alliance of kings enter the door w/ their groups to confront the Tyrant King. - ML chats w/ Suyeong Han about authors, novels and plagiarism. His suspicions confirmed, ML beheads Suyeong who is actually an avatar for the plagiarist. - The Tyrant King arrives to fight the allied kings. - The mid level Dokkaebi appears to announce the 2nd qualification. - Qualification 2: Only 5 kings may claim their right to the throne. - A notification states there are still 14 kings in total. - Suyeong calls out that ML is a king for the crowd to target him, so ML crushes Suyeong’s head. Suyeong planted avatars among the groups of the other kings. The avatars are activated and attack the kings. A woman darts among the kings and holds up all 7 star jewels. She is the real person who is Suyeong Han the plagiarist. - The jewels disappear and the 4 Yin Demon Decapitator appears. Suyeong starts to attack people w/ the sword but she didn’t know that it can’t be used to kill people. - Notifications pop up showing the no. of kings reducing. The ceiling collapses and crushes the Tyrant King. Standing on the rubble is Yoo JH, the Supreme King w/ a black flag. He’s angry w/ ML for the note that sent him up north to find his sister, when Huiwon already found her 1st and brought her back. - ML had Gilyeong summon a giant monarch species insect which arrives and attacks Suyeong and Yoo JH. ML steals the sword and the flag from Suyeong. The Chungmuro flag turns black. ML then takes the 3 Wheeled Ring and the Dragon Jar from the dead Tyrant King. - The mid level Dokkaebi appears and starts the final King’s qualification. There are only 5 kings left and they are teleported to the throne area to fight. ML is disqualified and barred from entering as he hasn’t captured his target station, Changshin. - Sangah, Gilyeong and Huiwon arrive w/ Yoo JH’s little sister, Mia. Huiwon brought the flagpole from Changshin, thanks to Mia’s inventory skill. ML plants his flag and is teleported to face the other kings. The 7 Kings of Seoul: - Donghoon Han, Hermit King of the Shadows (no black flag) - Jiwon Min, King of Beauty - Sanggyeong Cha, Maitreya King - Taesong Gu, Earth Dragon King (dead) - Yonghu Jeong, Tyrant King (dead) - Ildo Jeon, Neutral King - Yoo JH, Supreme King - Almost everything is restricted in the fight, w/ no skills, no stigmas, and average stats of 10. Only coins are not restricted. - Yoo JH spends coins to boost his stats and defeats the Maitreya King. Jiwon and Ildo both forfeit. - ML spends a huge amount of coins to boost his stats into 3 digits and he soundly defeats Yoo JH. - All stats are reset and all restrictions lifted at the end of the scenario. A crowd has gathered. The mid level Dokkaebi is about to announce ML as the winner and the end of the scenario. - ML interrupts him and says he refuses to sit on the throne. ML knows if he uses the power of the throne even once, he won’t be able to complete #5 scenario. - ML declares he’ll also stop anyone else from sitting on the throne. He shouts to the constellations “how much longer must your descendants suffer to fulfill your desires?” Hierarchy of constellations: - Mythical (highest) - Fabled - Historical (lowest) - The mid level Dokkaebi creates a new sub scenario to attack ML and take the throne for yourself. ML’s people ie Huiwon, etc come to his defence. The groups led by Jiwon and the Maitreya King also align themselves w/ ML. - The battle starts as ML uses Ganpyeongui, “Echo of the Stars” to seek help from the 7 Stars of the Big Dipper. He calls out each star one by one. He recharges Ganpyeongui using the Dragon Jar by sacrificing the 3 Wheeled Ring so he can call out the 7th star. - ML asks the Stars to lend him their sword so he can cut the tie to the throne as a constellation artifact to its constellation owner. - The throne allows the user to borrow the powers from 1 of the dark dimension rulers. The price for borrowing such power could be the end of the world. - After ML accepts the burden of plausibility, the 4 Yin Demon Decapitator sword is upgraded by the Stars to a constellation artifact. The Stars say they respect ML’s decision. Even if he dies here, they will remember him. - This sword was made for use in rituals and is one of the few items that can cut a tie w/ a constellation. - ML brings the sword down over the throne and cuts it in half, removing the protection cast on it. With that the sub scenario ends. - ML’s body is crippled w/ pain and he vomits blood. - The constellations look at him and share his burden of plausibility. The pain subsides until it’s gone. - With the absolute ruler’s throne destroyed by ML, the #4 scenario ends abruptly as does the fighting. For the 1st time, a new fable is created w/ ML as King of a kingless world. - The mid level Dokkaebi is furious at ML and punishes him by sending everyone to separate areas that resemble places they have a connection / history with. Solo scenarios seem to have been created for each individual. - ML is unconscious but is able to use his Level 3 OVR skill to connect secretly w/ Huiwon, Jihye and Hyeonseong to see where they are. ML is sent back to his old company building. - ML wakes up on the rooftop. He searches his old desk for an external charger. He is found by an old colleague, Seongho Yun. - A group of wanderers manage a brutal coin farm nearby. In one cage, ML sees Suyeong Han the plagiarist. Sub-scenario: Survival activities Aim: Survive in the ruined city for 10 days. - You must eat 3 meals a day and sleep 6hrs each night. - Daily survival fee of 500 coins. - ML tries to get Mr Yun to stop the coin farm in exchange for being introduced to ML’s group. Mr Yun refuses as he enjoys seeing his former tormentors at work being injured and killed. - ML breaks open all of the cages w/ his sword and maims the Wanderers in this group. He carries Suyeong away but she was just pretending to be passed out. She picks up a sword and fights w/ ML against the Wanderers coming from other groups. - ML swaps his robes for a brown suit set. - ML tells the people rescued from the coin farm to fend for themselves. They start fighting over items until Suyeong lectures them to stop behaving like animals and to find trustworthy allies. - Suyeong runs away and ML chases after her as he wants to check her mobile. He sees the text file of her novel which completely plagiarised TWSA. She read up to episode 99 of TWSA. - ML checks the Dokkaebi shop and sees all of the parts from the fire dragon carcass were sold. - ML decides to keep Suyeong beside him as she’s still useful, w/ her Avatar skill and her knowledge of TWSA. - ML presents Suyeong w/ a Temporary Pledge to sign that will be in effect for the duration of the sub scenario. During the contract period, Suyeong will follow ML’s orders and both parties won’t harm eachother. - Suyeong will sign the pledge after he answers her questions. She can use the Lie Detection skill as well. ML allows only 3 questions. - He answers: he doesn’t know his attribute, he gave up the throne because they would’ve been doomed no matter who sat on the throne, and he’s not a Renouncer. - ML and Suyeong hide from an approaching group of werewolves. They’re after those who destroyed their coin farm. - Song Minwoo / Minu, werewolf (humanoid demon) - Minu used to bully 17yo ML in high school. - Minu is a Renouncer who only read episode 173. He was approached by Suyeong in the beginning, but he rejected her offer to join her. Bounty Scenario: Overcome trauma Aim: Overcome your trauma within 1hr and rid yourself of the spectre of your past. - ML has an epiphany about his 4th Wall skill: it allows him to see the world as a work of fiction, separate from his own reality. That’s why ML shouldn’t see Minu as part of his reality and his 4th Wall shouldn’t shake. Minu is no more and is now just a humanoid monster. ML boosts his stats w/ a huge amount of coins. ML activates holy ether on his sword and charges towards Minu. ML slashes and strikes Minu’s body. His next move cuts off Minu’s arm. - Minu has the Physical Regeneration skill and his arm grows back. ML punches Minu into the ground and keeps punching him. Soon Minu apologises but ML isn’t punching him to get an apology. ML gives one last almighty punch that sends Minu flying into a wall far away. With this ML has completed the bounty scenario. - This scenario was requested by a few constellations. - ML is rewarded w/ the Self Justification stigma. He now has a defence system that makes him impervious to trauma (?) - ML warns Suyeong that she’ll regret it when she asks to kill Minwoo. After she stabs him, she’s notified that she’s been cursed by the Demon King “the Architect of Discord” (Andras) who will have its incarnations hunt her down. - Andras is represented by wolves. - Demon Kings: powerful beings who refused to become constellations and roam the scenarios. They seek subjects. - ML learns Suyeong doesn’t have a supporting constellation yet. She’s after the Abyssal Black Flame Dragon, the constellation for Edgelords. - ML and Suyeong arrive at an empty werewolves’ HQ, which has a large coin farm and human corpses strung up that were eaten. Cannibalism is one way to become a humanoid demon. - The werewolves are dead and in a pile covering a yellow meteorite called the Moon Stone. They were killed w/ elemental bullets (ie holy bullets) from the Seodaemun Penitentiary group. Their leader wears a mask, acts like ML and is the King of the Wanderers. - A woman speaks from the group and asks if ML is Dokja Kim. ML pretends to be Yoo JH but it doesn’t work. - She says the King of the Wanderers entrusts the yellow meteorite to ML. They will deal w/ the catastrophe in the north. These heroes became the scenario guides. - ML asks Antinus why is she going against her mission as a guide by waking up a catastrophe. She’s the one who mutated people to become Insect Men. Why is she trying to destroy this world? - ML commands Antinus to leave Seolhwa’s body. - Yoo JH is watching from the high rise rooftop and tells ML via the chat to kill Seolhwa. - Antinus tries to poison ML. He holds up the incomplete book of Donguibogam which blocks poison and gives ML temporary resistance to poison. ML compiled 8 of the 25 chapters of the book during the king’s qualification. Although incomplete, the effects of the book are activated as both the poison and the book on Oriental medicine were made by Seolhwa’s constellation. - As Antinus refuses to leave, ML is forced to use his Pressure Points skill and the book’s chapter on acupuncture to drive Antinus from Seolhwa’s body. She vomits up a large yellow liquid mass. - ML hopes Seolhwa will fully recover soon and become the Sage of Medicine by Yoo JH’s side. - Sangah and Suyeong come running towards ML, saying they’ve dealt with everyone. ML beheads her w/ his sword but Lycaon sent a blast that hit the meteorite and it hatched w/ explosive force. - The Catastrophe of Questions emerges. He uses the Middle Red Fire Cannon skill to decimate those people. - While running away from Ilsang, Yoo JH tells ML via their chat that ML shouldn’t be overconfident. He’s not omnipotent. Just because ML knows the future doesn’t mean it will go the way he wants. Yoo JH reminds ML to think about his specialty. - ML remembers his bookmarked characters and a 4th slot has opened. ML adds Lycaon and activates that bookmark for 30mins. ML can now use the Way of the Wind skill. - Ilsang runs away to get another seal broken. ML chases after him. Suddenly Yoo JH flies through the sky and lands on top of Ilsang. - Yoo JH fights Ilsang while ML sets up the Way of the Wind skill to trap Ilsang in the Absolute Void Prison. Ilsang can’t speak in the prison. The longer he goes without asking any questions, the more he is penalised w/ the seals reapplied and his powers suppressed. - Ilsang uses his Great Red Fire Cannon skill. To save the people in its path, ML uses the Way of the Wind to contain and then scatter the fire cannon. - All of the seals have been reapplied to Ilsang. The Way of the Wind skill ends. Yoo JH gives more mana to ML then he kills Ilsang. The SSS-grade hunt sub scenario is completed. - A new fable is created, “One who confronts the extraordinary”. - Dokgak appears and invites ML to transfer over to his channel. Dokgak has Tokyo and a few other major channels as well. - When ML declines, Dokgak accuses Bihyeong of illegally manipulating scenarios and calls for a “plausibility conformation assessment”. Then Dokgak accuses ML of working w/ Bihyeong to orchestrate scenarios for coin donations. Dokgak had planned to shut down Bihyeong’s channel, which is now ruined as many constellations leave. ML has no choice but to abandon Bihyeong and agree to transfer over to Dokgak’s channel. - ML is teleported to Dokgak’s cap (post). Dokgak presents ML w/ a new contract that has many unfavourable conditions for ML. Bihyeong is summoned as a witness (while tied up and gagged). - ML is allowed a brief look at Dokgak’s channel 1st. - ML wishes to say goodbye to the constellations. ML calls out to the Tokyo constellations and invites them to Bihyeong’s channel for a surprise event w/ a coin lottery, but is cut short by Dokgak. - Many curious Tokyo constellations have moved to Bihyeong’s channel. ML speaks to all constellations about another surprise event that he’ll host. If the subscribers exceed 10k on Bihyeong’s channel by the time of the sponsor selection event, ML will select a supporting constellation from the subscribers. - Dokgak is furious and tries to kill ML but is stopped by Bihyeong who’s broken free. Brald also attacks the giant but both Reginald and Brald are consumed by it. - Lucas won’t risk his life to save everyone. He blasts fire at ML and Jasmine, badly injuring them both. Lucas blasts the ceiling to block the exit, trap everyone behind and give him time to escape. - ML is forced to activate the 2nd phase of his beast will. - Sylvie senses this but ML tells her to stay away. - ML uses a powerful ice spell to completely freeze the Elderwood Guardian and the vines. She discovers a huge, mutant / deviant (?) 2-headed Hades Serpent guarding a tunnel and calls for backup. 50 battle mages teleport to Alea. - The Council has banned excursions into almost all of the dungeons that Professor Glory usually takes her class, as the Lances are currently investigating the dungeons. - Professor Glory’s class go on an excursion to a low level D-class dungeon called the Widow’s Crypt. - ML, Tessia, Claire, Curtis and Lucas are in this class. - It’s strange there are no mana beasts on the 1st floor. - Glory and the class are suddenly faced with a horde of E-class mana beasts. Glory kills them herself. This is unusual behaviour for these beasts who tend to be in small groups. Glory wants to leave the dungeon. Lucas dismisses Glory’s concerns by abruptly casting his deadly fire magic to persuade the class who opt to stay and train. - As the students head off in their teams, Glory warns Lucas not to do that again or face the consequences. - The beasts keep coming despite the students’ efforts to kill them. Before the students become too exhausted, Glory orders everyone to leave. There’s a sudden explosion and 2 x B-class mana beasts appear from the bottom floor. - Glory fights these beasts that are much stronger than usual. - ML takes charge and gets Delphine, a dwarf student, to use earth magic to fill the hole from the explosion. - ML gets Curtis to focus on his beast will while ML transfer mana to him. Curtis releases his beast will to blast away the rocks that block the entrance. ML ensures all of the students escape from the dungeon (even Lucas). - A gigantic mana beast evolves from a B-class beast that ate the remains of the other one killed by Glory. - ML is forced to reveal all of his elemental abilities as he fights alongside Glory. The gigantic mana beast stabs ML’s leg with a large claw and self destructs. The massive explosion creates a deep chasm that ML falls down. - ML uses his wind magic and survives the fall. The regenerative ability from his dragon will helps ML to recover. - He walks through a waterfall and he’s shocked to see a scene of utter carnage, with dead battle mages everywhere. He finds Alea who is dying after she was blinded, her core was shattered, and her limbs were torn off. - Alea uses the last of her mana to transfer her memories of the final battle to ML before she dies. The battle mages led by Alea killed the Hades Serpent. A black-horned demon appeared and foretold of a war. He blinds and tortures Alea as she listens to the dying screams of her soldiers. - ML embraces Alea in her final moments. He makes graves for the dead then leaves with Sylvie. Through Alea's memories, ML knows there are more demons out there like the ones who attacked Sylvia. - Lucas is invited to join a secret gathering of disgruntled, racist human nobles. The masked leader offers a relationship of mutual benefit. To achieve the goal of shattering the alliance between the 3 races, the leader wants Lucas to get rid of ML. Lucas will be granted the power to do so. Tessia will be his first target. - ML returns home. While in town with his family, he comes across a strange store on his own. ML sees a black cat in the store that runs off. The store owner gives ML a small translucent orb. - ML visits the Academy and gives Cynthia the ID tag he took from Alea. Cynthia will report Alea's death to the Council. - ML goes to the training room and finds Virion with Tessia. She’s covered in vines as her beast will fights back against her body. Virion says something must’ve been wrong with the Elderwood Guardian as the beast will seems to have mutated. - The vine suddenly attack ML and go on a rampage. - The orb appears from ML’s dimension ring and flies towards the vines. The orb somehow frees Tessia from the vines and is absorbed by her body. Virion checks her core and is shocked to find her core has suddenly advanced from the light orange stage to be almost at the initial silver stage. - Virion tells ML about the founding of the 3 kingdoms. - During the beast era, the 3 races were nomadic. They were in good terms and traded with each other. Their numbers dwindled as they were hunted and killed by the mana beasts that roamed the land. - A deity descended from the sky and gave magic tools for the 3 races to overcome the mana beasts. The ancestors of the Glayder, Greysunders and Eralith royal families were given 6 artifacts. - These artifacts were bestowed upon the most powerful subjects of the royal families under a soul oath and knighting ceremony. - As the 1st Lances given the power of white core mages, the 6 artifact users were commanded to spread their newfound knowledge and powers to create the 1st generation of mages. - The mana beasts were pushed back to the area now known as the beast glades. The black cat from the store appears and changes into human form. It’s a deity called Windsom. - The small orb was an elixir pearl that prevented Tessia’s core from exploding. She asks to see the naiads. She’s able to touch and speak to the water king, who detects the essence of Roberstein’s divine power emanating from her. The king helps to partially heal her arms that will speed up her recovery and removes the excess divine power around her heart. - ML visits FL as she sleeps. She wakes when he kisses her hand. She asks who he is and why is he following her. He leaves after giving her a small bottle of liquid. - The knights and trade party escort FL to her family estate. Sir Frederick Holt, Captain of the knights, Morsi and Fynn go with FL to greet her father. They hear the rumours that FL is the evil daughter of a lowly concubine who murdered her grandfather and mother for the inheritance. - FL packs the rest of her things. She gives money to Esphee and Carniche, thanking them for everything they’ve done for her. She gives her father a large amount of money and says she doesn’t want to be supported by him. After cutting her ties with the family, FL leaves and returns to the academy. - Morsi gives FL a loyalty pendant for the trade party. Their building is close to the academy and she’s welcome to visit anytime. - Aeiji greets FL at the entrance. FL shows the small bottle to him and he identifies it as a very rare and powerful medicine that heals serious injuries in seconds. She saves the medicine for later. (The medicine was made by the Dean of the academy and Aeiji for ML to take). - FL decides to withdraw from the 1st freshman swordsmanship competition of the year due to her injuries. The Dean is known as the greatest mage alive and is also secretly Harace’s grandfather. - In town with Rikijan, FL saves a little girl from being run over by a carriage. Inside are Duke Tarwitt and his daughter Lilitte, known as the most beautiful woman in Roan. In the future Lilitte marries 2nd Prince Schneider Regee Roan (they’ve been engaged since birth) and becomes the Queen. - Swordsmanship competition: both Taro and FL are participating. - Taro faces Cherabace in the semifinals. Taro surrenders when Cherabace uses mana as Taro can’t use mana. - FL defeats Cherabace in the final, disarming him and breaking his sword. She’s dissatisfied with winning as she found it too easy and no one really challenged her. After the competition celebration, FL sees another student as she goes for a walk. He calls himself Arhad. - FL asks Aeiji about ML 21yo. He’s a loner who skipped half of the semester due to illness but continues to attend. He’s a 4th yr student in the swordsmanship department. - FL sees ML as a worthy opponent and her only companion. - ML declines FL’s offer to spar with her, using his illness as an excuse. FL knows he’s intentionally avoiding her. - FL finds out ML’s schedule from Rikijan and follows ML around for awhile trying to get him to spar with her. She gives up after he persistently refuses without giving a reason. - After ignoring ML, he pulls FL aside and apologises for his attitude towards her. He confirms that it’s not because she’s female and not because he thinks her skills aren’t worthy that he’s refusing to spar with her. FL apologises for her behaviour and wants to be friends but would like to know why he’s avoiding her first. (Ch 77) - FL visits Fynn and they summon the earth sprite king. - FL asks the king about the holy era, the gods and souls. - Despite thinking her divine power and her soul could be related to Roberstein, FL claims her body and soul firmly as her own. - The king suspects there might be a seal that is suppressing the divine power that is stored within FL. - Back in town, FL beats up a man who was following her and Fynn. The man mentions Black Fox and that he was ordered to kidnap Fynn. FL returns Fynn to his father. - FL spots ML enter an alley. She follows him as he dons a white mask. He meets up with another masked man. FL tries to follow them from the rooftops. She sees the man she beat up earlier acting suspicious and corners him. He asks if she’s with Camastros. - The man tells FL that Camastros is a secret underworld group that appeared a few years ago, and its members all wear black robes and white masks. They’ve been attacking branches of Black Fox. FL suspects ML might be the leader of Camastros. - There’s a Black Fox specialty slave auction tonight and they’re on high alert against Camastros. FL forces the man to take her as a fake slave to the auction. - Both ML and Aeiji belong to Camastros, with ML as leader. It’s purpose is to destroy Black Fox. - A masked ML is shocked to see FL at the auction. He bids 1million gold on her, revealing the presence of Camastros to Black Fox. FL frees herself and fights with her sword as the rest of Camastros enter. - FL saves the dwarf Clendelf at the slave auction. His hands were cut off. FL promises to help with his hands. - FL convinces ML to let her join forces with Camastros. She also wants to destroy Black Fox so Fynn can go outside without fear. - FL pledged herself to ML, will be employed by ML, and will be his direct subordinate in Camastros. - Black Fox want Fynn as Morsi is good friends with Absilot, the leader of the Tiger Mercenary Group. - Absilot lives with the West Flag High Desert tribe. Black Fox are after Absilot and the natives but rather than enter the harsh desert, they targeted those close to Absilot. - FL takes Clendelf to see Morsi and Fynn. She explains the situation to Morsi. FL plans to travel with Clendelf to the Karankell Rocky Mountains during her semester break. She agrees to go with Morsi’s trade party but only as a mercenary guard. - It’s vacation time and FL visits Fynn to help Chendelf with his hands. They summon Inis and Tao. They say that FL has more divine power now so they’ll be able to help Chendelf. - The dwarf’s hands are magically restored. Chendelf is overjoyed and promises to dedicate his best sword, his life’s work to FL. - NB: Living beings die when they have no more divine power. The sprite kings are concerned about FL using her divine power as it shortens her lifespan, but as she has a lot it should be ok. - Chendelf tells FL about the 5 dragons: - Earth dragon, of the Karankell Rocky Mountains. - Forest dragon, of the Shaobo Forests - Fire dragon, of the Flag High Desert. - Ice dragon, of the Himarape Ice Fields. - Kandamian the chaotic dragon, in the central Lotso Mountains, the Chief over the other 4 dragons. - Kandamian’s warning: “The one who steals a glimpse at the gods’ secrets will die in the fires of hell.” - FL wonders if each of the dragons guard the gods’ secrets. - FL wants to meet a dragon or the Spartoi (powerful warriors made from the teeth of dragons) to learn more about the connection between Roberstein the goddess and herself. - ML applied as a mercenary and surprises FL when she finds out he’ll be joining her. ML says he’ll answer any questions FL has of him during the trip. He likes her and wants to get to know her. - ML says he was avoiding FL because he didn’t want her to hate him if she lost to him in a spar (which is what happened in their past lives). - ML tells FL about himself. His mother became a concubine because her family wanted royal blood. Concubines were killed if they became pregnant. He reveals the Dean (who was a Bahamut vassal) helped his pregnant mother when she ran away. She died after giving birth to ML. The Dean became ML’s guardian. ML is working hard to be ready to defend himself when the Bahamut royal family find him. He’s not seeking revenge, he just wants to live. - For both ML and FL, the sword gives their lives direction. - The trade party reach their destination. FL will continue on with Chendelf. ML offers to introduce FL to Hanidelf the dwarf at the fire magic tower where he’s going to deliver items from the Dean. - Mamaye the fire mage tells FL about ML’s illness as a child that was similar to Harace’s. ML has since overcome this illness and has no problem controlling his mana. - ML goes with FL and Chendelf to Karankell. Hanidelf gives FL a magic bracelet he made with a shield spell from Mamaye as thanks for helping his good friend Chendelf. - As they get closer to Karankell, ML admits to FL that he suffers from an illness (with his heart?) where he falls asleep for days and even months if he doesn’t take his medicine on time. - ML kills fierce black orcs chasing some humans who had injured a baby orc. He pulled out the heart of an orc with his bare hands and FL sensed he absorbed life force from it. - ML wants to help take the humans back but FL knows he’s just avoiding her so he doesn’t have to reveal the truth. - FL says she already knows about life force from the sprites, and that he’s the leader of Camastros. ML is angry about FL using her divine power to summon sprites as it shortens her lifespan. - FL says she knows ML has much to hide and what he decides to reveal to her will have a great bearing on their relationship. She bids him goodbye. - FL faces many monsters on the way. These monsters had avoided them before as they were afraid of ML. - FL and Chendelf arrive at the village of the dwarves. He was missing for 6mths, presumed dead. FL meets the village elder Kukudelf. Chendelf introduces FL as his saviour. - As the 1st human to visit the dwarf village, FL doesn’t want to leave a strong impression and won’t stay long. It is best for dwarves to remain wary of human greed. - Black Fox kidnapped and tortured Chendelf as they wanted to know the location of an artifact from the holy era, the dwarves’ treasure. FL asks for permission to see this relic. - FL is taken by Chendelf to a sacred place for the dwarves, the dwarf cemetery. She visits the holy relic that’s a monument of the gods in the centre, a sword fragment of the Red Goddess. FL’s divine power in her heart aches as she approaches. - The relic suddenly emits a bright light and FL has a vision of Roberstein holding the sword that the fragment is from. FL faints and awakes to the elder being there. - FL feels compelled to touch the relic and a metal piece appears in her hand. Only she and Chendelf can touch it. - FL has Cheldelf summon his earth sprite, Tamatan (a mole). Through Tamatan, FL summons Tao. - Tao recognises the metal piece as part of the great sword that he and Kagomine the fire sprite king made for Roberstein the goddess. - The sprites used her divine power to create the strongest metal in the world. That metal can only be used by Roberstein, ie it reacts to her power. FL’s aura is similar to Roberstein which is why FL can touch it. Tao offers to create the strongest metal with Kagomine, just for Ianna. - With Chendelf’s help, FL summons Kagomine. FL’s metal is created and the original sword fragment returned to its place. Clendelf can handle the metal as his hands were made with FL’s divine power. He will use this metal to make a special sword customised just for FL. When the sword is finished, Chendelf will send word via Hanidelf. - FL leaves the dwarf village and is met by ML. - Back at the Academy, ML asks FL to be his sparring partner for the rest of the time they’re at school together. - ML and FL spar for the 1st time. FL wonders why ML’s sword aura is colourless when it was golden in her past life. - The spar is a tie, with each managing to cut the other. - FL is happy at the possibility of winning against ML in the future. She’s improved on her past life where she kept losing to him. - ML is jealous of FL’s sword which she devotes all of her attention to. He wants to be the only one in FL’s eyes. - ML is naturally gifted in mana with an abnormal control over it. - ML’s sole life purpose is FL. He wants her by his side. - He wants to gather with her the devil’s fragments that are scattered around the world and go to Pandemonium together. (Later refer to Ch 144) (Ch 128-129) - FL meets the Dean with ML, Harace, Lalatua and Taro. - ML and Lalatua knew eachother since childhood as they were both under the Dean’s care. Somehow ML can deflect Lalatua’s magic. - The Dean speaks about his theory of mana control, and mentions the devil, divine power and souls. His theory is similar to what the sprites told FL earlier. - After the others leave, the Dean presents FL with her own black cloak, voice altering ring, and white mask for Camastros. The Dean is 1 of 7 executive officers under ML. Aeiji is also one. - FL starts to learn about how to control divine power from ML. He warns her not to try using divine power control to cure Harace. It’s too dangerous and could cost her life. - FL causes an explosion and injures herself by trying to control her divine power. ML finds her and calls her foolish, stubborn and selfish. FL sees this as an opportunity to get stronger and she wants to live life to the fullest with no regrets. ML just sees it as FL needlessly squandering her life. - ML uses his divine power to heal her after FL fainted. - FL is angry that ML shortened his life because of her. The reason she wants to be stronger is so she can do what she wants to do and protect what is hers. Ultimately her life’s purpose is ML. - ML says he’s fallen for FL’s sword and he’s fallen for her. He asks her to be by his side always. (Ch 134) - ML offers to teach her the ways to control her divine power, so she won’t do it so recklessly. - FL attends her 1st Camastros meeting and is introduced to the other executive officers. They have been with ML since the founding of Camastros and are people of great talent. - Camastros has allied with 2nd Prince Schneider of Roan. He requires that all achievements by Camastros be attributed to him. Camastros can now openly destroy Black Fox with the support and defence of the Roan royal family. - FL goes on her 1st raid with Camastros against a Black Fox outpost. She’s told that all senior leaders must be captured alive, while the rest are killed in front of their subordinates. - At the 2nd outpost, they find chimeras. Kaegus Dmitri is a secretive, crazy, evil mage in the north who specialises in biological magic and chimeras. He is 1 of the 10 most powerful mages in the continent. The blood of chimeras is explosive and poisonous, and can penetrate magic and sword auras. Chimeras can also be familiars that are connected to their mages through their 5 senses. Camastros leadership group: - Ro (ML), head of Camastros. - Sean (Aeiji), strategy and ambush. - Gold, bombs and traps, financial affairs. - Rust, spearman and all weapons expert. - Caesar, short distance attacks, healing and strengthening potions. - Hill (The Dean), magic and artifacts. - Ban, archery and long distance protection. - Giselle, magic of sprites / spirits of nature. - FL discovers a chimera bat that’s followed her to the academy from the blood in her hair. She’s concerned her identity has been compromised. More chimeras appear over the following days. - FL avoids ML so his identity won’t be discovered as well. - A human chimera approaches FL and Kaegus speaks through it. While Kaegus is a cooperative partner with the true master of Black Fox, he’s interested in FL for himself as his test subject. After Kaegus threatens her, FL cuts down the chimera and cuts her hair. - ML is waiting for FL and asks why she is avoiding him. She tells him that chimeras are tracking her. As they embrace eachother, ML says he doesn’t care if FL reveals he’s the prince of Bahamut. She can do anything as long as she stays by his side. (Ch 144) - FL asks ML what are the devil’s fragments. They were mentioned by Kaegus and Black Fox asked Chendelf about them too. - Devil’s fragments are the many fragments of the devil’s soul that scattered around the world at the end of the holy era. The fragments can exist because the devil’s heart is stuck in a dimension where time has stopped. That place is Pandemonium, the great chaos. - The fragments are invisible but become visible when a living being nearby expresses a strong negative emotion or desire for power. - Fragments vibrate when close to another fragment, as they innately want to gather and join together to become one again. - The Bahamut royal family in their hunger for power are the most aggressive in gathering fragments. They desperately want to kill ML as he’s inherited the ability to possess the devil’s fragment of the Emperor. ML can handle mana so well due to the devil existing in his blood. The more fragments ML collects, the stronger he’ll become. - FL goes to meet Kaegus to prevent him from carrying out his threat against the academy. ML is following close behind. - FL insults Kaegus through the chimera he sent. He appears in person with more chimeras. ML surprises Kaegus and destroys the chimeras. ML takes Kaegus’ heart with his bare hand and crushes it, absorbing the devil’s fragment. - FL is upset and disheartened that she will never defeat ML with his power from the devil’s fragment. ML tries to encourage her by telling her to focus on controlling divine power. - While in town, FL meets Taro’s family during their visit for the annual academy festival. Taro’s father is Absilot the mercenary king and good friends with Morsi. Taro is the 5th son in a family with 6 boys. Ranka is the mother. - They visit Morsi and Fynn. Absilot is very impressed with FL after hearing more about her from Morsi. She’s invited to the desert to visit anytime. - After obtaining a map he had prepared by the mercenary guild, Absilot takes FL to smash some Black Fox hideouts. He wants to weaken Black Fox by discouraging new and would-be recruits. - FL confides in Absilot that she feels frustrated and angry that the one she’s always wanted to defeat has been hiding his full abilities. Her life fighting him feels like a lie. Now a way to beat him is open to her but it must be learnt from him. - Absilot encourages FL to not give in and take the opportunity to get stronger even if it’s at the hands of her opponent. She will surpass him and defeat him. - Festival swordsmanship competition (more like an employment market): Ryan won last year. Despite it being mandatory, ML is not participating and cites his poor health as an excuse. He doesn’t want to attract unnecessary attention like from the Bahamut royal family. That’s why he also pretends he can’t use mana. - The Dean and Aeiji have been protecting ML as well. - FL easily passes the preliminaries of the competition. - The Roberstein family came to watch FL. - FL visits ML and they talk about divine power, souls as the repositories of memories, and reincarnation. (Ch 156) - FL continues to progress through the rounds of the swordsmanship competition day-by-day. She makes it to the finals. - Cherabace stops FL and apologises to her for his attitude and what he said before. He thanks her for opening his eyes so he may grow. He still hates Harace as he’s been through a lot because of Harace. - FL agreed to be the model for Priscilla in the 4th yr fashion design competition. Priscilla is awarded the best 4th yr designer for her dress “Queen of the Sword”. Arhad presents a magnificent bouquet of red roses to FL, and says she’s the prettiest. - On the 6th day, the overall fashion design winner is announced and it’s Priscilla with FL. Once on stage, FL hears protests and malicious whispering from the crowd. - Suddenly her father shouts out and defends FL. He comes up to the stage and gives her a large bouquet, saying sorry for everything and to never forgive him. - Before she’s overcome with anger, she’s showered with bouquets thrown onto the stage. Her friends, other students, Ryan, Villiger and even Lalatua with magic flower petals, all congratulate and cheer on FL. - Later ML comforts FL who weeps as she succumbs to the pain and hurt from her childhood that she’s kept inside. ML understands that FL is angry about her father’s apology as the Count can be at ease but her pain remains. She was a blameless child yet why did she have to suffer so much. - Swordsmanship competition final: FL wins against Ryan, who had won the last 2yrs. She captures the attention of 2nd Prince Schneider. He is the King that acknowledged 22yo FL in her past life, and who she pledged herself to. - “Master for the day” student auction for the swordsmanship department. While FL was against the degrading and unethical idea that began as a slave auction, she agrees to participate as she will buy herself using Morsi as her proxy. - As the competition winner, FL is the last student up for auction. - It becomes a bidding war that starts with Lalatua, Prince Schneider and Morsi, then a masked ML bids against the Prince. ML throws a blank cheque down as proof he can honour his 500,000 gold coin bid. - ML takes FL somewhere private outside where they can talk. She slaps him hard and wants him to take back his bid. She hates being bought with no regard to what she wants. ML defends himself by saying he wasn’t buying her, he was preventing her from being sold to the Prince. He hated the idea of her being with the Prince. - Aeiji finds them and says Villiger has put a cap on the highest bid at 1000 gold coins. He’ll also be holding onto the cheque for safe keeping. - ML asks FL to work off the 1000 gold by joining him in a stroll around the night markets. - FL asks about ML’s money and he says he found the devil’s treasure cache and it had a tremendous amount of gold. He used that gold as capital to invest in various businesses and guilds across the continent. ML makes an astronomical amount of money every month as a result. FL’s vow to ML: - FL promises to help ML and that she’ll spend her future by his side until her dying moments. She will devote her life and her sword to ML. She asks him to show her the future he wants. - ML and FL visit the Dean. She asks him about Harace learning how to control and manipulate divine power. - The Dean owns a devil’s fragment and was forced to work for the Bahamut royal family because of it. All in his bloodline except Harace have died. He joined forces with the Roygen clan, who had mixed elven blood and also possessed devil’s fragments. The Roygens were enslaved by the Bahamuts. ML was born of the Roygens to usurp the almost pure blood of the royal family. As a result, the Bahamuts killed the entire clan. The Roygens venerated the devil who granted them power, and used the name of the golden devil (ie Roygen) as the name of their clan. - Wiphamer Potestas, the chief mage of the Bahamut royal family is an archmage / grand mage and has a devil’s fragment. The Dean is also an archmage. - The holy scriptures say a devil with it’s heart pierced by a god sleeps in Pandemonium. This place is located undergound and sometimes the devil’s energy travels through fissures to reach the surface. Ordinary animals exposed to this energy become fierce monsters. Wiphamer uses his fragment to control these monsters and form monster legions for Bahamut. - Harace has a mysteriously large amount of divine power. His issue is with willpower and receptivity of mana. - FL believes Harace has a better chance to heal through intensive training of his mind. She asks the Dean to help replenish Harace’s divine power. Once she can control divine power and Harace can control mana, FL will teach Harace how to control divine power. - Prince Schneider comes to see FL to persuade her to join him. She politely declines and says she’s left her house and will leave Roan after she graduates. The Prince forbids her from leaving House Roberstein and also forbids her from leaving Roan. - Marquis Galoneon Chaipan, Sir Frederick Holt’s lord and master, arrives next to meet FL. He asks her to consider coming to train with the knights of his house, when she’s in her senior years at the academy and seeking experience from noble houses. - Villiger gives the blank cheque to FL to return to ML. - 1st Prince Fernando Luria Roan. - Fernando refuses Schneider’s request to block FL from leaving Roan. Viscount Gerard advises Schneider to let FL do as she pleases to win her over as his knight. She hates to be confined. - Later Count Cherno refuses Schneider’s request to stop FL from leaving House Roberstein. The Count wants to support FL in whatever she decides to do, to make up for past mistakes. - FL denies to Aeiji and Rikijan that she is dating ML. - FL has no interest in love and dating, especially after seeing what happened between her parents. She prefers winning over something as fleeting as love. She considers love to be a ridiculous waste of time. At the library FL receives her 1st love letters. Back at her dorm room, there’s a stack of more letters and gifts. FL disposes of them all in the incinerator. - The next day FL asks what ML thinks of her. - FL is satisfied with his answer that he thinks of her as a remarkable swordswoman that he wants to keep by his side. - She thinks the idea of them as a couple is absurd. - FL asks ML for more details about his medicine and his illness. The Dean makes the medicine by crushing living hearts to extract divine power as liquid. ML’s heart has always had insufficient divine power. If it doesn’t get replenished regularly, his soul doesn’t have enough divine power and he falls into a coma. - FL asks ML about his plans for seizing the Bahamut throne. - Nothing will change until he graduates at 24yo. They will focus on reducing Black Fox’ power and growing Camastros. After graduation, they will go to Woodruff Kingdom, east of the Bahamut Empire. They will win over the nobles there that despise the Bahamuts. When the opportunity arises, they will behead the Bahamut royal family. - Aeiji tells ML about the love letters and that many male students have their eye on FL. - FL hears from Rikijan how he met ML. - The 2nd son of Marquis Owen is a drug addict and is an important client of Black Fox. He had harassed Rikijan’s pretty mother before in his parents’ flower shop. One day when he was high on drugs, he and some other Black Fox members barged into Rikijan’s home and raped his mother in front of her family. To hide what happened, Marquis Owen had Rikijan’s entire family killed. Rikijan was saved by ML who also sponsors him. - End of year ceremony: FL is awarded top of the 1st yr class. - FL meets with Count Cherno and Countess Sarache. - They both apologise to FL and the Count offers to stop all of the rumours about her. FL says there’s no need as she’d prefer to change how people see her on her own terms. - FL learns Esphee and Carniche both resigned after FL left. - FL confirms her plans to graduate early, leave House Roberstein, and leave Roan. She will serve ML as his knight. - FL had asked ML to make an appearance near the end. She wanted to show that she didn’t need them anymore. - FL will see the Roberstein family again when she debuts in society at the Founding Day festival ball. - FL gives ML a jeweled crescent moon pendant. - She says it reminded her of him and the night. - It’s the 1st gift she’s ever given anyone. - In their past lives, Aeiji brought a file on 17yo FL to 22yo ML, suggesting her as a potential new recruit for Camastros. He observed her at Theodore Academy (for nobles only) and thought she was still lacking as she was too weak willed. - A year later he saw her again at the Roberstein estate. He saw her swordsmanship for the 1st time and was overwhelmed. He wanted her but didn’t want to risk her life at this point. He would come for her when all was done and settled, when he was Emperor of Bahamut. Bahamut royal family: - Empress Shailons Bahamut - Princess Isabel Bahamut - Prince Taylon Bahamut - Priscilla begs FL to wear the dress she designed for the Founding Day Festival ball and 17yo FL’s debut. In the end, FL agrees to be dressed by Priscilla but FL insists on paying her. - FL arrives together with her family. She is greeted and congratulated by Harace and his family, Marquis Chaipan, Villiger, The Dean and Mamaye, who gave her a magic firecracker rose crafted by himself and Hanidelf. - ML is attending under a fake noble connection. He asks FL for her 1st dance. - 2nd Princess Angelina Muxiniel Roan is also having her social debut. She’s announced by Emperor Harios Maxium Roan. - 2nd Prince Schneider asks to dance with FL next. She rejected his gifts of a dwarven made sword and expensive perfume, but accepted the bouquet of rare royal roses. He intends to keep pressuring her. - ML was made to dance with Angelina by Schneider. She may have fallen for ML but he was cold to her. - 3rd Prince Siaiwe Luria Roan surprises FL by asking her to dance. He admits he has a personal interest in her but not a romantic one. - ML is able to teleport short distances and takes FL away from the ball to enjoy the festivities in town. - They run into Lalatua and Taro. ML is provoked by Lalatua into buying many gifts that FL doesn’t want. - Lastly, ML takes FL to a field of red roses he had created for her. As FL falls asleep next to ML while they sit among the roses, ML kisses her as he loves her very much. (Ch 181) - In their past lives, 24yo ML wanted to clash swords with 19yo FL for the 1st time. When he defeated her at the youth swordsmanship competition, he told her that he wanted her and she would be his. - ML discovered the fissure to Pandemonium and found the devil’s heart pierced by part of a sword. When he touched the heart, he was overcome with the devil’s broken memories and emotions. - Over the years as he gathered all of the devil’s fragments, those vivid memories and intense feelings became clearer. They focused around Ro, the goddess Roberstein. He saw FL and Ro increasingly as one and the same. - As the devil’s power grew in ML, the Dean tried to kill him but ML killed the Dean instead and absorbed his fragment. Harace died because of the Dean’s death. ML also killed Taro who protected Lalatua when she tried to take revenge. Then ML killed every member of the Bahamut royal family. - 29yo ML was finally the Emperor of Bahamut and he’d gathered all of the fragments. All he wanted was FL by his side but it was too late as she was a knight of Roan and hated him. - Half-mad, ML thought he could get rid of the emptiness he felt by killing FL. He realised too late that she was his heart that would have made him whole. - ML teaches FL to first understand how divine power circulates in her body, the rate that it’s consumed, and how much divine power is in her heart. After a while, the only thing FL is having trouble with is her heart. Something is blocking her from seeing how much divine power her heart contains. - FL has been training Harace hard since the start of the year. - FL finds out that ML has a noble title and property in every nation of the world. Black Fox kidnap and murder citizens in the capital, dressing like Camastros to frame them. Camastros quickly target those posing as them and save the citizens, spreading the word that Camastros only targets Black Fox. - Black Fox seek help through Luria from the other corrupt nobles. Despite protests from Fernando and Marquis Owen, Schneider successfully convinces the Emperor to leave Camastros alone, and to commit soldiers to fight Black Fox and stop their recent crime spree. Schneider publicly executes Black Fox members found guilty of serious crimes. He also announces his support for Camastros. - FL learnt how to summon Tao on her own after asking Giselle for advice. He can hear the sword’s voice. It’s called Greed. - ML kills goblins and gains the skills Strength and Stamina reinforcement. His stats increase considerably. ML earns money from killing goblins and buys new clothes. - ML saves an orphan girl who was kidnapped under orders from Chad Brerick. ML gains the skills Concealment, One-handed sword, and Art-sharp edge. - ML works at the Heart estate by day, and goes hunting at night. - ML fights hobgoblins and defeats the goblin king. His wife was killed by the gargoyles terrorising the village. - At night the gargoyles return and use fire bullets to fight ML, which decimate the village. ML gains the Fire bullet skill. - As ML continues on his travels, he’s joined by a Galian girl called Myne the Wrath. She also owns a Deadly Sins weapon called Sloth, a huge axe. - They arrive at a town governed by a holy knight. - Travellers are segregated from the residents and there’s a strict social class system using tattoos. - ML hunts sandmen at night. He saves a large group of mercenaries from the boss monster. ML gains the Sand / dust magic skill. - Aaron Barbatos, an old holy knight, a swordmaster and the village chief. His wife and son were killed by monsters while he was away fighting in Galia. - At the next village, ML is challenged for a duel by Aaron. Although ML lost, Aaron allows ML and Myne to stay in the village on the condition ML trains under Aaron. - ML and Aaron go to the nearby castle to destroy the undead monsters there. That castle used to be Aaron’s. - ML faces the Lich boss monster while Aaron subdues his family and servants. Together they use Grand cross and defeat the Lich which frees the souls of Aaron’s people. Then they work to clear out the rest of the undead from the castle. - ML promises Aaron to return on his way back. - ML and Myne defeat a group of orcs when they arrive in Galia. - The dragons and monsters destroyed Galia 4000yrs ago. - Myne takes ML to her birthplace to fight a giant chimera called Haniel. A human sacrifice was used as the core to create Haniel. Myne needs ML’s skill to consume the soul to prevent Haniel from regenerating. ML draws on half starvation mode himself and sacrifices more stats to Greed in order to defeat Haniel. - Greed’s 3rd form as a black shield is released. - ML saw the memories of the human sacrifice and discovers she was someone that Myne knew. ML asks Myne to kill him if he succumbs to a total berserk state. - Babylon the defence city: a garrison town in Galia. - ML meets Elise who has the Lust skill. - Elise says FL needs to die in order for more people with special powers to be born. Elise is just a bystander but others will be out to harm FL. - Now on his own, the masked ML killed orcs for money to pay for new equipment. He saves FL’s camp when they’re attacked by 4 giant fire salamander monsters. He travels with them until they reach the Great Valley. - FL’s group are attacked by 3 giant prototype chimeras with monsters used as their cores. The masked ML helps to defeat the chimeras but he, FL and the last chimera fall down a deep hole. - ML finds the badly injured chimera and destroys its core. - ML notices the same strange markings on the chimera as on the salamanders. ML and FL safely find their way out. - A horde of monsters advances towards Babylon. - The royal army led by FL ride out to meet them. - Greed senses a large monster underground. ML discovers it’s a giant slime that uses corrosive magic. ML destroys its core and gains its magic skill. ML is faced by multiple slimes created from the Deadly Sin weapon used by a masked man who suddenly appears. The weapon is a black bayonet called Envy. - While fighting, ML destroys the man’s mask to reveal Alistair Northern. He’s a holy knight under FL. His family have been defending Babylon for generations. - Alistair uses a whistle to call forth a celestial dragon. - ML gets over to the royal army and uses the black shield to block the blast from the dragon. ML’s mask is destroyed and reveals his true identity to FL. - Alistair is perched on the dragon’s head. ML immobilises the dragon using a variation of Grand cross. ML sacrifices his left arm to defeat Alistair using illusion magic. The dragon breaks free and ML has a colossal battle that carves another valley across the land. - With the dragon defeated, ML gives over most of his stats to activate Greed’s 4th form (a black spear) and also stop ML from being completely consumed by his gluttony skill. - Myne arrives to kill ML but is stopped by FL. - ML recovers back in Babylon and is unconscious for a week. - ML is taken away by Elise and Myne to restore his arm. - For a month ML is forced to go on large scale hunting raids in Galia to exponentially increase his stats and his proficiency in using the secret arts of Greed. He restores his arm using Greed’s 4th form secret art: Twilight healing. It can cure any injury or disease. - ML and Myne return to see Aaron. Construction has started around the castle and they help with the rebuilding. - ML agrees to be adopted by Aaron and become his noble family successor. ML’s name changes to Fate Barbatos. - ML, Aaron and Myne travel together to the capital. - On the way, ML stops by the Heart territory and uses his healing skill to completely cure Aisha. - Aaron and ML go to the royal palace for an audience with the king. There are many holy knights present. Aaron introduces ML as his heir and the killer of the celestial dragon. - The holy knights scoff and mock ML. Rudolph Lanchester challenges ML to a sword fight. Rudolph loses his eyes to ML, then he is killed by the king’s personal White Knights. - The king gives permission to ML for powerless people in the capital to be accepted into his territory. - The neglected Barbatos residence in the capital is next door to the Heart estate. - ML is notified by the nun from a church in the slums that powerless people have disappeared after going to the military district. The Brerick family invested in the church under the condition that people from the slums came to work for them at night. This time no one returned except for one who managed to escape and said the others were killed. - ML infiltrates the Brerick research facility inside the military district. He discovers mutant goblins are being fed the remains of the poor people. He finds Memil Brerick drugged and unconscious. When he tries to leave, he’s faced with the mutant goblins. - Greed identifies the monsters as nightwalkers. They’re corpses that move from tethered souls and are poison to the gluttony skill if ML kills them. Nightwalkers can infect others when bitten or scratched. - ML enters a lab room full of specimens in containers. ML sees Chad Brerick who opens his eyes and attacks ML. Chad is a nightwalker after being restored using monster parts. - Aaron suddenly appears to help ML. While fighting Chad, they find another room full of women in containers. Aaron recognises one as Lina Brerick who died over 10yrs ago. - Rafale arrives and says Lina was his mother who was abandoned by his father because she was a powerless commoner. His younger siblings were born from another woman. - The nightwalkers were created using Rafale’s blood, which is why he can control them. Rafale used Memil as his backup blood supply. When Rafale is injured or killed, the nightwalkers are also affected. - Rafale has Vanity the black spear, a Deadly Sins prototype weapon. It doesn’t have a heart like Greed. It requires the blood of the user to activate its power. - Rafale’s body is possessed by an undead archdemon. He opens rifts using dark magic to allow dark matter to enter and explode. - Elise arrives with the White Knights and holding Envy. She reveals her true identity as the ruler of this kingdom. She sends Aaron and the knights away to evacuate the city. - Myne appears when a massive rift is created. She closes it using Sloth and brings down the archdemon as well. - ML uses Greed to separate Rafale and Shin, the one possessing him. Myne has been pursuing Shin and they both disappear. - Elise explains to ML that long ago she and Envy established the kingdom and ruled together. They parted ways after an argument with Elise travelling to achieve her goals and Envy left to rule using a proxy body. - After an investigation into the research facility, the Brerick family are punished. They’re stripped of their title, expelled from the holy knights, and their properties seized. - Aaron is bringing Memil into the household as a maid. - ML and Aaron visit FL at her home. J-woo was eventually betrayed and killed by the people closest to him. - 5 swords pierced his heart: 3 swords were from ‘kings’, 1 sword was from his lover (Viera Dune, Witch of Stars), and 1 sword was from his close friend (Sir Leonte, the Fist god). - The 8 Great Guilds / Clans conspired together to destroy J-woo and his group Artia, since they couldn’t possess them. - ML already has extensive military experience. It can reap souls and convert souls to magic that can be used to make cursed weapons. It also allows ML to see dead souls. - ML has achieved the title of Monster Hunter. He’s also attained the Eye of the Goblin and the Monster’s 5-Coloured Gem. - Block F: Arang group base. Doyle and Khan held prisoner there. - ML wipes out the Arang group then frees Doyle and Khan. Build swallows the forbidden philosopher’s stone that was made from the bodies and souls of countless players sourced from human farms. - ML takes off his mask for Build to recognise his face. ML lets the sacrificed souls finish off Build after ML tortured Build for info. ML obtains the incomplete philosopher’s stone and it stores itself near his heart. - Doyle and Khan decide to retire for now, and give their earnings to ML to use. After receiving tips from Doyle and Khan, ML finds Vigrid the demonic sword. It has both demonic and divine abilities because it used to be a holy sword. - Block G: Phante and Edora, siblings from the Cheongram family of the One Horned tribe. Ranked 2nd and 1st in the tutorial. - While fighting the siblings, ML distracts Edora and steals their tokens. He jumps to the top of the rankings by a huge margin, giving him the highest score in the history of tutorials. - ML refuses to enter his name into the rankings or the hall of fame, and he becomes known as “The Hoarder.” - ML receives Zeus’ key which is 1 of 12 keys needed to access the Treasury of Olympus. - ML enters the area of the Obelisk, Tower of god. - ML visits Henova the dwarf master blacksmith who used to work exclusively for Artia, and was like a father to ML’s brother. ML buys a special custom dagger and he commissions Henova to make the Eyes of Gyes. ML also learns blacksmith skills. - ML takes care of the Night Watch clan who harassed Henova. - Phante and Edora visit ML and Henova. Edora’s huge sword was made by Henova. Phante nags ML for a rematch fight but loses to ML again. - Bahal (Flame Fist) of the Red Dragon clan, former Artia member. - Henova finishes the Eyes of Gyes as both armour and amulet. - The Eyes have special defensive properties. It aids health recovery, while also enhancing and assimilating with one’s senses. - Henova also custom-made a demon mask for ML that’s a magical artifact with unique properties. - ML enters the Tower with Phante and Edora. He clears the beginner floors 1-10 in record time to obtain Hades’ key, the last one. The 12 keys combine and ML accesses the Treasury of Olympus. Hermès invites ML to be his apostle but ML declines. - ML tries to take Astrape (Zeus’ lightning bolt) but it shatters. Instead he receives the Black King’s Despair, a wrist guard cuff and arm chain made from divine iron. It’s abilities are Soul Collector, Spirit Familiar and Black Energy. The Black King was the owner of the Akashic snake. ML also receives Athena’s Aegis shield, a 9-layer holy item that can block most attacks. - Bahal led an ambush on Leonte and his group. Leonte escaped and now the Red Dragons are at war with the Azure Sword Guild. - 11th Floor: Nurture and hatch a mythical beast egg. The type of beast will change according to the dreams and devotion fed to it. - ML creates spirit familiars and trains with them, along with the Aegis shield. - ML helps to return a stolen Phoenix egg to it’s mother. He calls the hatchling Chirpy and forms a contract bond with it. ML collects materials to create the vessel for the Flames of Life. The mythical beast egg is infused with the Flames of Life many times from the Phoenix to help its growth. It grows to a huge size but refuses to hatch. The Phoenix believes the beast needs dreams to give it motivation to be born. - Phante and Edora are summoned back to their village. - Their father Nayu the Martial King says the village will be joining the war as mercenaries under the Azure Sword Guild, breaking the long-standing neutrality of the tribe. (NB: Flann is the Spear god of the Azure Sword Guild, and the uncle of Phante and Edora. The Sword god was a disciple of the Martial King). - ML is invited to the One Horned Tribe village and he takes his egg. The elders advise using a rare herb called the Lunar Seed. To get some, ML agrees to join the village as a mercenary in the war. - Jang Baeksun, half-brother of Phante and Edora. Jang challenges ML to prove himself. ML wins emphatically. - ML asks to learn the martial arts unique to the One Horned tribe. Nayu gives permission on the condition ML attains enlightenment on his own in 4 days. There will be a test which if he passes, Nayu will teach him the martial arts. ML agrees. - ML studies the tribe’s skill archives. He creates a new magic circuit concept, core theory and a new type of mugong. The gods and demons of the 98th floor show interest, as does Hermes. - ML passes the test with his Heavenly Wing Mana Control. - ML starts to learn the 8 Extreme Fists martial arts. - ML also becomes the successor of the Yin(g) Sword, an ancient vessel sword of great intelligence. - Edora inherited the Yang Sabre with her insight ability. - The tribe start the siege of Kuram City on the 11th floor against the Red Dragons. To see the progress of what ML’s learnt so far, Nayu takes the top 5 enemy warriors from the siege to fight 1-on-1 with ML. The last one is Shanon, a semi-ranker (cleared 50th floor) and the most challenging. ML learns about focal points that are the power to choose possibilities. - The Azure Sword Guild are hunting the legendary beasts. ML finds Chirpy alone, as the Sabre god killed the Phoenix. ML receives the Flame of Life / Holy Fire skill. Ebora followed ML and they go to save the other beasts (ie Void Dragon, Abyss Turtle, Sabretooth Tiger) but they’re too late. - ML becomes the Legendary Beasts’ Successor and feeds the spirit core of the Sabretooth Tiger to Chirpy. The Sabre god was most likely harvesting materials from the legendary beasts to use in treating his son who was born with a weak body. - Because of the Azure Sword Guild, ML leaves the One Horned tribe and says Nayu will always be his master. Edora and Phante follow him. ML approaches Bahal at the Red Dragon clan base. - ML gives Bahal a map of the Azure troop locations. ML is made team leader of 3000 mercenaries. To subdue them, ML gets Phante to break them then ML heals them. This happens over and over again. With the men fully subdued, Phante is left in charge of training them. - ML goes through the 12th to 15th floors with the help of his men. ML takes his men to the 16th floor to find the Sabre God’s son, Hanbin. They wreck havoc at the temple of the future (Skuld) and bring Hanbin back to base on the 11th floor. The Sabre god receives messages with a finger then an eye that his son is being held hostage for the philosopher’s stone. - ML upgrades his witch doctor spirit familiar named Bu to a lich, a magician of death. He also assigns the spirit of Shanon as his 1st Death Knight. They lead his ever growing ghost army. - The Sabre god leads a rebellion against the Sword god and Fist god (Leonte). Taking the Reverse Blood pill to increase his magic power, the Sabre god fights the Sword god but is still defeated. Before he dies, the Sabre god uses the now fused Legendary Beasts core to open a portal that allows the Summer Queen (in red dragon form) to teleport through with the Red Dragon forces. - ML absorbs the fused core and his dragon body transformation and awakening is complete. His adamantine physique has changed to complete draconic body. He’s also obtained the Territory, Knowledge and Authority of the Dragon. He’s awakened the power of the dragon, and can emit Dragon Fear to his opponents. - The One Horned tribe are not present for this battle. Nayu probably thought there was no point in continuing the alliance and broke it off. He may have been approached by Red Dragon too. - ML intervenes in the fight between Leonte and Bahal. Leonte had just badly injured Bahal by using the internal energy of the mythical dragon core, given to him by the Sword god, and Gungnir the legendary sword of Odin. ML cuts off Leonte’s head and after a fierce battle does the same with Bahal, who sees ML’s face behind the mask before he dies. - ML absorbs the mythical dragon core from Leonte, which was taken from J-woo. ML lets his ghost army take care of the remaining Red Dragon forces in the vicinity. - ML’s bracelet absorbs the many souls of the dead. ML, Edora and Phante withdraw from the battle. - The Bow god betrayed the Azure Sword Guild, and now the Sword god and Spear god are on the run. The Guild has collapsed and a new power struggle is expected to fill the vacuum. - ML receives lunar seeds from the tribe’s head elder. With these seeds, the ‘blessing of the 4 legendary beasts’ crystal that was created by the fused core, and the mythical dragon core, ML hatches his now massive egg by reviving / awakening the suspected legendary beast inside. It’s a demonic dragon that absorbed the energy of the 4 other legendary beasts, and was reborn from the mythical dragon that was connected to ML’s brother. - ML plans to make the beasts hatched by Phante and Edora to become legendary beasts that will take over the vacant positions on the 11th floor. He gives them the Bead of the Abyss created by the Void Dragon, and the Pure Flower of the Legendary Beasts elixir created by the tribe’s head elder. It allows access to an infinite storage space and the Red Dragon treasury. ML finds the materials needed to complete the philosopher’s stone stored in the treasury. To do this, he needs help from Brahm the Exile, 1 of 2 alchemists that J-woo knew. He’s a ranker on the upper floors of the tower. - ML lets his ghosts eat the souls of Leonte and Bahal. - ML calls the spirit of the Sabre god who pledges his loyalty to ML when he learns his son Hanbin survived. The Sabre god becomes the 2nd Death Knight, Han Ryeong. - ML visits Henova to commission magic swords for use by his 2nd Death Knight, who needs strong swords to meet the requirements of his signature moves. - Nayu the Martial King conducts an inspection of ML and they have an epic spar. Although ML lost, his growth and strength impress Nayu who has nothing left to teach ML. Nayu tells him to continue going up the tower. - The Sword god is the lone survivor as he emerges from a cave and sees his men who died while protecting the entrance. His childhood friend the Spear god is also dead. He decides to use the forbidden qi ‘Cannibal’ which allows him to absorb the powers of the dead person whose heart is consumed. - After declining to join Red Dragon, the Bow god (now Zhang Wei) is given a mission by the Summer Queen to find someone. Zhang Wei is from Earth around the same place as ML and J-woo. - The Queen suspects the Red Dragons and the Azure Sword Guild were used as puppets by someone. Zhang Wei investigates the people close to Bahal. - ML commissions the Night Watch to search for Brahm the Exile. - On the 16th floor (Life’s Wheel), ML is invited to the temple of the past. He passes the trial of meeting the goddess Urd and breaks free of her will, which tried to trap him by using his past. She orders ML to be killed but he beheads her high elf apostle Hepburn instead. - ML escapes from the temple which implodes. His shadow knights take care of the soldiers that come after them. - ML uses the divine power from the apostle’s soul to cleanse and purify Vigrid the demonic sword. It’s returned to it’s original state. - ML progresses with record speed and achievements through the next few floors until he reaches the 20th floor and the Gate of the 5 Penance Mountains. The penances are sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. ML’s senses are already outstanding plus he has dragon senses. To increase the difficulty, ML puts away his magical equipment and limits his magical power. He learns to sense the wavelengths of objects around him. He concentrates using his combat will, becoming enlightened with Soul Control. - Being able to use Soul Control, Soul Power and one’s soul signifies the start of training to become a transcendent. ML’s shadow knights advise him to expand his 6th sense. - After the 5th penance, ML maxes out his sensory reinforcement skill and 6th sense skill. This leads to ML gaining the ultra sense skill, which gives him extrasensory cognition and perception. It includes the skills of intuition and automatic defenses. He is now also able to perceive the mana flow. - Khan suddenly reappears before ML and uses ‘open speech’ (telepathy?) to communicate. - There are people who live on the 20th floor to continually train under penance, and are called Sadhu. - Victoria, the Crimson Divine Tree. She’s one of the few rankers who can use rune magic, the language of the gods. - Kindred the Pestilence Ghost. He’s the 2nd Bishop of 9 bishops that lead the Demon Army. - Kindred suddenly attacks ML to test him. - ML goes all out and passes the test. As ML wants to be a Sadhu, Khan shows him to a hut he may use. - Night Watch contacts ML. Brahm is on the 23rd floor. - ML trains with his shadow knights to improve his swordsmanship and eventually create aura. His 8 Extreme Fists skill changes to 8 Extreme Sword Arts. As a Sadhu, ML gains the Hermit trait and Parallax Gap skill. - ML agrees to a deal with Victoria to let her study him for a month in exchange for teaching rune magic to him. Victoria is unable to learn anything as she can’t analyse a dragon’s mental system. - ML gets Bu the lich to carve rune magic onto his body. - ML has been a Sadhu for 6mths. - Victoria announces to everyone that Kindred is dead. - Sol Luna, the Dark Sword. A vampire swordsman. - Rebecca, a high ranker and apostle of Cernunnos, god of hunting. - Victoria received a hidden quest after she sensed Kindred’s death. It involves King Mihu (the monkey king). She wants to make a deal with all of the Sadhus to get her to where Kindred’s body is in the quest area. In exchange she’ll give the location of one person anywhere in the tower. Victoria, Rebecca, Khan and ML go to the dungeon called King Mihu’s Palace for the hidden quest. - ML’s cold blooded trait and ghost army help to resist the curses and avoid the traps. He takes the lead to guide them through the dungeon maze. Sol Luna is secretly following them. - They enter a room full of stone monkey statues before an empty throne. The Monkey King’s 72 divine transformations are etched into a large stone tablet. Kindred’s dead body lies in front of it. - Sudden quest: King Mihu’s terracotta soldiers. - Escape after memorising the 72 divine transformations and obtain the qualification to become the successor of King Mihu. - Kindred’s body turns out to be a fake. This was a trap set up by Kindred to get others to complete the quests. - The statues come to life and attack. Rebecca is killed while protecting Victoria. ML gets Khan and Victoria to escape first through another door. ML demonstrates 1 of the 72 transformations to pass the test. He passes the final test when he asks “Who are you” to a vision of the Monkey King. - ML obtains the title, Successor to the Monkey King. - He also obtains the skill, 72 divine transformations. - He clears the sudden and hidden quests to receive 25k karma pts. - Hidden quest: the Golden Cudgel’s Owner - ML receives a piece of the Monkey King’ holy artifact, the Golden Cudgel / Staff. With no time limit, the quest is to gather all of the pieces to complete this artifact. Once completed, ML will inherit the title “Great Sage, Heaven’s Equal”. - Black King’s Despair and the Golden Cudgel are made of divine iron, the only material that can imprison or seal gods or demons. - ML visits the One Horned tribe. The mythical beast eggs of Phante and Edora have hatched. They’re both griffins. - ML decides to name the demonic dragon after Nemesis, the goddess of revenge and laws. He renames Chirpy after Nike, the goddess of victory. - ML finally visits Henova to pick up the weapons for his shadow knights. ML commissions Henova to upgrade his armour, which means revealing his strengths and weaknesses to Henova. ML shares his player info. Later ML picks up the upgraded magic armour set. It is strengthened by the addition of Hell’s Tears that were a gift to Henova from J-woo. - ML checks the skills of Nemesis and Nike. - Nemesis: Dreaming Illusion (AA+), Violent Whirlwind (A). - Nike: Fire Spirit (resurrection and reincarnation of fire). - Blessing of the Blue Spirit skill from the Abyss Turtle. - ML infuses the Blue Spirit with Cernunnos’ apostle, Rebecca’s vestige. Then she absorbs the souls of Sol Luna and Urd’s apostle, Hepburn, and evolves into a high level spirit. - 21st floor: Break the shadow training hall. - Clear at least 20 of the 33 sections inside the hall. - You must defeat the shadows (illusions) of the ranked players from when they cleared this trial. - ML starts from the lowest ranked shadow player (165th) and progresses to the higher ranks. He tests his upgraded equipment and uses this trial as a training opportunity. - Carshina’s Dagger (A): Trainee’s Passion, Black Blade - One of the ranked shadow players is Valdebich the Rebel Swordsman. He is a giant who was a founding member of Artia and J-woo’s first friend. He went into hiding after J-woo’s death. He was the first one that led Artia’s downfall. - ML continues to progress as he defeats the shadows of Kindred, the Sword god and: - #11 Nocturne (Nayu’s 2nd disciple) - #5 Summer Queen - #4 J-woo, his brother (Ch 124) - #3 Hegel - #2 Nayu the Martial King - #1 Vivasvat, known as “All For One” - ML’s cold blooded trait is temporarily deactivated when he faces the shadow of J-woo. ML and Nemesis fight J-woo and his mythical dragon. ML has never lost to his brother and after an epic battle, ML wins. J-woo’s shadow smiles and says it was fun, then disappears. - ML thought J-woo had abandoned his family when he disappeared. Their mother asked ML to protect J-woo’s place at home for when he returned. - ML created a new and unique skill from his battle with J-woo. - Fire Wave: Fire Thunderbolt, Blazing Embers - Hegel is the archbishop of Satan’s army. - He’s a demon messenger with characteristics of a god. - After ML defeated Hegel, he receives a Golden Cudgel piece. - At first Nayu’s young shadow tries to trick ML but he doesn’t fall for it. ML utilises everything he’s learnt from the top ranked shadows and defeats this Nayu. - The shadow for Vivasat has been deleted (?) - It’s impossible for the gods and demons on the 98th floor to interfere. It’s a mystery how the system was changed. - ML automatically passes the trial for the 21st floor and ties with Vivasvat to be ranked 1st. - ML easily kills the Kraken on the 22nd floor. - At the 23rd floor, ML lets his shadow army deal with the spawn of the Devil Trees while he looks for Brahm. - The Elohim: a group of 8 clans. Only tribes of strong descent (ie high rankers or transcendents) can join. - Light of Aether, an Elohim Elder and ex-Artia member. He’s from the Protogenoi tribe, the highest order in Elohim. - Brahm was expelled from the Elohim. - Brahm is the incarnation of Brahma the high god. - Galliad is Brahm’s friend. Galliad attacks the Elohim who seem to be looking for Brahm. ML saves Galliad when the Elohim counterattack and they escape. Galliad takes ML through a massive and elaborate illusion barrier created by Brahm. - Brahm is protecting Sesha, a dragon human child (half dragon and half human). - Ananta, a dragon human who was in love with J-woo then later disappeared. Ananta was Brahm’s estranged daughter. She left Sesha with Brahm. Sesha is the daughter of J-woo and Viera Dune. - Brahm and ML make a deal. - ML will teach Sesha about dragons and act as her guardian. - Brahm will teach the Book of Mercury he wrote to ML. He will only teach about the alchemy from the book. - The Elohim project for ancient species renewal: to restore extinct dragons and giants, then subjugate them to the Elohim. - Phante and Edora took the griffins to the territory of the Abyss Turtle on the 11th floor.
