Ch 63 as of 12/08/21 - gets silly and confusing - FL reborn as Count Bolshake’s eldest daughter, Valerie. Siblings Edith and Marshall. Life was boring so FL tried to learn magic but her master “Destiny” ridiculed then abandoned her after leaving a dire prophecy. FL family worries she might disappear one day. FL wants to cherish them more. - Political marriage arranged between Bolshake and Dewello families for FL and Duke Kylus. FL moves into Dewello estate. - As “punishment” for Crown Prince Edwin entering her room by mistake, FL has the knights HUG eachother - FL thinks Serenia Howen (Mooyong Jia), lady from other world (martial artist from Ancient China), is fated to be with Duke Kylus. Misunderstandings and hilarity ensues as she tries to distance herself from them. - Unknown to FL, her father gave condition that she has power to annul engagement to Duke Dewello if she isn’t happy. - Duke ponders what would make her happy, with help from his aide Victor Howen and romance novels. - Duke is a prodigy in everything, but is socially inept. - Duke slowly falling for FL with her unpredictable ways and idiosyncrasies. - Mage Destiny gives an apocalyptic “ash phenomenon” prophecy to the Emperor and Crown Prince. Msg via Crown Prince at engagement rehearsal, mage tells FL “to struggle more desperately” - FL meets Serenia to dispel hopes that she can help with or has any info about traversing dimensions. Comforts her instead. - Emperor reveals the ash and other strange occurrences began when Serenia appeared. - At engagement ceremony, Marshall helps FL with Kylus’ hostile childhood friend, Lady Mureya Quarte (crazy strong). - Duke confesses his feelings for FL. Conf’d not for Serenia. - FL tells Duke she can’t accept his feelings. Duke insists he wants to earn her trust and love. - Emperor orders Duke to bring Serenia to palace after unknown corpse found in ash. Serenia offers to help investigation instead, avoiding arrest. FL explains to Serenia the political landscape. - FL invites Mureya to Dewello estate for Serenia to make the right political connections. FL also asked Marshall to investigate Mureya. - Serenia takes in Mureya as her student. - FL and Duke are stuck in Dewello treasury together. FL casts small light spell as their candles blew out. - Duke says fallen for FL again after she insists he be his true self with her. FL says Duke reminds of her siblings but gets flustered as he’s so handsome! - FL called in social circles “lady who lept into tiger’s den” thanks to rumour spread by Crown Prince - Divert attention from ash phenomenon that could weaken Emperor’s authority if known by nobles more widely. - FL wants to enjoy learning magic again - FL goes with ML on his territory inspection as a date. - They’re interrupted with news that Marshal was injured. He was going to the basement to retrieve magic books for FL. At her family estate, FL looks for clues in the library about the magic barrier that hurt Marshall. - Crown Prince allows FL to enter Destiny’s magic lab. Memos with the corpse locations predicted by Destiny make up the character for fire on a map. FL agrees to join the Crown Prince, ML and Serenia to investigate further.
