Harlequin Pink: 3 Wishes
Don’t read this version, read the one called “a man for Megan” because this one is incomplete
My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday
Sugar Sugar Rune
I am in tears after finishing this for so many reasons. I thought this would be a simple magical girl manga, but I’ve walked away feeling so much more than entertained. The art style is the best I’ve seen in a while, this mangaka truly has a keen eye for fashion! The women in this story are strong, smart, beautiful, etc. This story was empowering in such a way that makes me want to unabashedly embrace my femininity.
Say I love You
Aaaa as I reread this I realize why it struck a chord with me in middle school.. I had the same back story as Mei and my freshman year of high school was when I finally started experience things like a normal teenager, even down to the first kiss. I pour one out for the girl I used to be when I remember this story. She’s still in me somewhere deep down, but she’s learned a lot! Ok but also on a superficial level yamato was literally everything I wanted in a boyfriend back then I could scream
Ou no Kemono
This is surely going to join my favorites list when I’m done. The world is made up of humans and ajins (humans with animal characteristics & powers) some of the ajins get chosen to serve emperors depending on how rare and strong they are. Mc’s twin was chosen to serve a prince but he was swiftly murdered, she disguised herself as a man mulan style to avenge her brother, only for her and the prince to slowly start falling for each other— I need to see them kiss ASAP but I’m really enjoying this I’m on chapter 27 & not only did they kiss but they CONFESSED I’m winning I’m going 95mph in a 40mph lane I’m zooming 321 Blast off
Nana
Since the manga is longer than the anime I’m just gonna stick to the manga, don’t hurt me miss yazawa im gonna try to read from start to finish
7 Seeds
The chapters always end on cliffhangers so it makes me want to keep reading, very interesting though can’t wait to learn more about the world!! Wow I really am enjoying this… it’s always the really old stories that hit different— I have been absolutely obsessed with this, 90 chapters in and I already consider it an all time favorite. I really hope this gets an English adaptation someday!!! There’s a whole heap of characters to keep track of and that allowed the creator to add in so many interesting stories/moments. They built a whole world with new laws and I love learning about it every step of the way. Something that inspires me is how the creator doesn’t shy away from getting into the nitty gritty and developing the intricacies of her story… You can tell that she really enjoys world building. Even if she doesn’t enjoy it she takes the time to develop characters and doesn’t cheat through anything. After finishing this story, I have come to the conclusion that it finished in the best way possible. Yumi Tamura has a fantastic understanding of the human condition and this story was perfect in almost every way! Killing off characters towards the end would’ve been cruel & made the story unjoyable, so the fact that she kept me on the edge of my seat while still providing a happy ending was fantastic!! There was also another element that I felt would be fantastic to add and she did it, but in an extremely unexpected way! I totally forgot about Arashi’s letter bottle, and yet it came full circle with someone from another country sending a letter back!!!! You can tell she really cares and loves the story, characters, and the readers. This story has fundamentally changed the way I will read and write future stories, I wish I could interview miss ayumi Tamura <3 (I also predicted Natsu becoming an author, very lovely)
7 Seeds Gaiden
Final part of 7 Seeds <3 not done but I’m so glad she decided to give us a view of how they’ve been fairing post ant hill arc!! I honestly can’t believe this was made in 2019. She still managed to retain the core essence of her style since the beginning of the manga, it makes me feel like this energy is still alive, even in 2022– just finished and that was an absolutely perfect way to wrap up this story… Honestly some of my qualms from the original ending were totally smoothed over! I love love this mangaka so much and I love the way she breathed so much life into this story…. So glad I got to read this in my lifetime, can’t wait to see the effects reading this has on my own stories
