The Nameless Flower
Imagine sitting on your couch with a nice, cozy blanket, drinking a warm cup of cocoa and then all of a sudden someone slaps you across the face. Suddenly you're lying on a cold stone floor, bleeding and shivering, your blanket torn and the cup shattered. That's what it's like reading this comic. The story changes from a slice of life story about two childhood friends torn apart, hoping to reunite when they're older and then it turns into an angsty tragedy at the drop of a hat. It doesn't even really have a happy ending, it's just not a tragic one. It kinda felt like the author also didn't know how to save or end this mess, so they found an ambiguous place and just cut it off there. Super fucking weird. Like, I don't mind an angsty story or even a tragedy, however I expect the media to at least hint at what genre it is, not suddenly change midway through. Wtf. I might've liked the story better if I knew what to expect, but I read it for the slice of life, not to feel slapped in the face...
