Sakamoto Days
Aww I absolutely enjoyed reading this! It's very funny and all of the characters are interesting, the fighting scenes are cool as hell and some of the backstories were deep. I absolutely love this manga, it's so wholesome and I really enjoy the found family troupe here:) I really recommend this️️ ------------ Rereaded this again and wowzers, this manga just got so much cooler. The fighting scenes are still topnotch, some lines are funny and I still adore the characters I liked during my first read. For this reread, I was able to figure out Uzuki and Rion's past in a much more deeper understanding. Uzuki is a character that we can call a villain made by the harsh people around him. His past makes me want to rip my hair out and bawl. He's the most kindest person that fate can't handle right, I cannot bear to hate him. Like Uzuki, I was also able to deepen my understanding with the others, as well as my favourites, I feel like I loved Nagumo, Shishiba and Osaragi more after reading this. They were my originals
Dandadan
At first I thought this manga is crazy. Sexual violence in the first chapters and suggestive languages? I thought that it's fun but something that's not for me. However when I saw the anime, it made me pick up the manga again. That's where I realized that I really need to lock in and start reading, not looking. The plot is somewhat hard to understand and to explain, but as chapters go on, it seems easier to understand now. In a world of injustice and silent stories, there's spirits who only seeks for peace which they were not granted on their lives. The characters backstories runs deep that fuels who they really are. Personally, Aira and the Acrobatic Spirit and Jiji and the trapped Spirit Story are the best. It made me tear up and just.. Experienced a whole new raw emotion of motherly love and sadness. It's one of the reasons why I had the strong urge to write it immediately down. I also love Okarun and Momo's relationship, they matched each other's freak I'd say. They're a lovely duo that I adore, whenever Okarun goes "All out" he becomes more protective of Momo, in return, Momo acts as his sanity line, like snapping him back if he doesn't have any control to himself etc etc... In short terms, I just love them. OHH THIS WAS MORE THAN PEAK. The crowd can have Kazehaya and any shoujo boys out there, I'm choosing OKARUN!! MAN IS DOWNBAD FOR MOMO AND DOESN'T HESITATE TO SACRIFICE HIMSELF FOR HER. HE ALWAYS FIND HIS WAYS TO EXPLAIN TO HER AND THE LOYALTY?????? AWWW PEAK PEAK!!! THIS IS PEAK!! THIS IS THE ROMANCE I CRAVE. ----- Scratch that, after fully finishing this manga, I am confident to say that I'll forever adore the Backstories. Each character speaks of the harsh reality, but despite that, they've become a group of unique people that helps and looks out for each other. It's a wholesome read, really. :)
Nerd Project
And they were dormmates..! How do i even start giving my comment on this? I've seen various comments about this BL a lot, how it's good and different from the rest. They were certainly not lying about that. Nerd Project really lives up to its name. From the first chapter alone, i knew i was dealing with a peak story that can maximize my reading experience. The whole story was like an alluring read that makes you crave for more, be it their little banters on the start or their kissing sessions. Something just attracts you in this BL, almost like too naturally. Andrew and Luke are two individuals that are different from the BL couples i have read. They don't have this usual troupe or have this cliche feeling, they are entirely on a different level. Luke is a kindess incarnate. He's soft and sticks to what he sees towards a person, I can see why Andrew gradually opened up to him. To nonchalant answers to smiling practically almost every chapter because of Luke.. that really moves me. Especially on his monologue about Luke, that really made me think "This is it. I found my hidden gem". Overall, their love story is a one hell of a magnetic force. I absolutely cannot wait to read more and probably uhh deepen my comment more I wish i could say all the nice things i see for this BL but i wanna make up space for the future!! (I love the artstyle, the striking visuals, the way it is written, the growth, awww i love everything) ------ Whenever someone asks me what my favorite BL is, I immediately think of Nerd Project. I had read a lot of BL's before, but no one comes near to them. I love them with my whole heart. They're such a breathe from the messy troupes out there. Absolutely no words can describe how I thank the author for getting this idea. Literal fate itself was merciful for me to give me this blessing.
Shin'ai naru Boku e Satsui wo komete
Where do I even start in reviewing this story? I don't think I can give justice to what this manga really gives if I were to write my review down. This was a wellcrafted work. Each panel portrays the perfect emotion for such scene, aswell as how the story is pacing. This also applies to the storyline and writing. When I tell you this is written down from every single detail I WILL TELL YOU THAT. Each character connects with each other, a thing that really amazed me, because How on earth can you manage to do that??? And in the most complex ways where readers wouldn't expect? That's completely amazing. I was hooked into solving and seeing where this goes, and it absolutely didn't dissapoint. Others may hate Kyouka, but for me, I find her character well-written. It is true that I wanted her gone in the late chapters, but her presence and character really had me. She fooled me into thinking she's innocent and that love really prevails against all odds. I can't honestly blame her for her actions, but Im not taking her side too. I like how she was written, makes me really phrase the word Angels in Devil's clothing. I also like Rei here. Her and B1's coordination is lethal. They're both brains. It's amusing to see them work together instead of ending up as a couple. I think, the ending of B1 continuing to love Youko even after death and finds healing through living is much better. It was properly conveyed and given justice in account of all his sufferings. This goes to Hyouka and Oto aswell. I'm satisfied enough to see them in a mental hospital.
