i was planning on waiting for like 30 chapters before i started this one but i couldn't resist any longer oopsie ~~ i like it so far. such a sucker for gaming webtoons. i like how quickly the mc and ml got attached to each other, its cute how close they got this quick. excited for them to meet irl. other then that... the drama is a little childish. just block her if shes being rude to you? it's a game? idk tho. i'm not big on the multiplayer part of mmos so maybe it really is this petty and childish? the mc is a bit pathetic tbh but... i think he might be a teenager? i thought he was an adult at first but he might be between highschool and college? it makes sense he'd be silly and self conscious about this stuff at that age is what i'm getting at. oh! also!! i like how this one doesn't have the ml mistaking the mc for a girl! it doesn't ALWAYS happen but it is pretty common and sometimes i get a little sick of it. i like that they're on voice chat from chapter 2 so we never have any misunderstanding about that.

fine. a simple straightforward shounen ai. the arts very cute but nothing really stands out about it.

reading this, on ch 10. just a quick update on the situation. the seme is fucking dick man. he's SUCH an asshole all the time. I find him quite grating. beyond that i like the uke, he's a sweet hardworking kind of guy. i like how he keeps trying to draw a line and stand his ground about not just accepting the semes money. i wouldn't want to be indebted to a guy who looks at me like im a fucking bug either buddy!! why would he accept favours from someone whos been nothing but mean to him? he has NO reason to do that. because of the previous point i find some of the translators comments a little irritating. they and i do NOT agree on who is in the right in this situation. update for ch 19. not really any better. the seme keeps having lewd ass dreams about the uke and i STG if he makes that the ukes problem i'm dropping this. also. he keeps getting mad at the uke for *checks notes* being poor? okay FUCK OFF man we can't all be born a duke what the hell is your problem. yes! hes poor! you know hes poor! could you maybe consider thats why he feels burdened when you keep imposing luxary goods on him! fuck off ch 28 upd8. i don't normally criticize unrealistic sex practices but when you draw attention it like this >_> he knows he need to loosen him since he's a virgin and yet because HE'S horny he's just shoving it in huh. he sure said he hates the uke like 3 panels ago huh. compared him unfavourably to his ex wife huh. this is really exciting, i love love love angel/demon societies they're so interesting. love mcs who don't really want to live anymore, yes king go off (yourself). we are in the middle of a big important arc though. argh. the pain of waiting for the next chapter.

ack. i read up to the end of season 3 (so ch 95) and i need a breaaaaaak.

eh? the pacing for this ones super weird. i think it'll probably be fine, since it's short (23ish ch if the comments are to be believed) so like. it's not the end of the world. it's got a bit of a strange vibe but. whatever reading the officials! on ch 13. just stopping by to make a few notes. the seme is Crazy crazy. like stalking him for years kind of crazy. the mc is in danger lmao. i think the mcs issues are pretty interesting, i hope they're developed a little more. a lot of the story just has this... weird nonsense kind of feeling to it. the main plot feels... kinda vague i guess? its just not very good i suppose. the arts okay, it gets better as we go along and the visual gags and panels where the artists draws them looking stupid are REALLY good.

girl. whatever. gonna parrot a comment i read that said this reads like a harlequin novel but in bl form. those are the vibes baby. its has some interesting ideas vis a vi memory loss and past lives but. it's not executed well enough for me to recommend it as something good. give it a read if you want something light and stupid and bad, but also pretty nostalgic. it's very 2003 yaoi core.

:( the beginning is really really good and i love the characters but... the last quarter is sooooo rushed it sucks any enjoyment i had right up. it was really disappointing. overall i still really liked it but it didn't live up to it's potential. the stuff with her past life was fascinating and we just... didn't deal with it. sadge. i've seen mention here and there in the comments that this is based on a novel so. if i ever get the strength of will to read a webnovel again i will see if i can find it *salute* https://bato.to/title/99999-the-duke-s-bored-daughter-is-my-master
