I Was Just An Ordinary Lady
The Duchess' 50 Tea Recipes
Probably one of my new favourite shoujo’s, I like the slow progression of their love rather than it being quick and in the viewers face, it seems more realistic especially in the Dukes end, you can even tell by the art that he gets softer as the story progresses. I love the whole Tea and business factor to this manhwa and how the female lead breaks those typical gender stereotypes instead of shying away like other manhwa like the abandoned empress. My only issue with this particular shoujo is the “villains”, if you can really call them that. They are all immensely immature with no real genius mastermind plan that would make the story a lot more interesting, they were a lot more like petty school kids than villains. All and all I give it a solid 9/10
The Monster Duchess and Contract Princess
Looking at it from a subjective point of view the story itself isn’t a complete breathe taker or anything like that. However, it is worth the read especially for the characters themselves. There wasn’t a side character in this manhwa that I didn’t like, I absolutely adore the duchess and her husband and of course cute MLs are so much better than the alternative if I’m being honest! As for villains, Medea is definitely more interesting than your typical villains but the smaller ones like Leslies father and sister are just plain bad and not in a good way.
Miss 180
I love the MC, she’s incredibly beautiful and her androgynous fashion just adds to it. The plot itself is a really interesting concept showcasing different issues such as gender roles that have been placed on clothing, one sided loves and of course the main one, everyone believing the MC is a bit based on her “masculine” features. The ML? is quite endearing as it’s evident he has trauma and I can’t wait to find out why.
I Became the Tyrant's Translator
Interesting concept, very unique. ML seems really sweet.
