Fwooshie's manga / #UWAAAAA!(936)

I'm confused about the deeper meaning, although I understand what literally happened in the story. I recognize that the author intended for there to be nuances and symbolism (or something) that would create a greater emotional impact when the story reached its resolution. Without that grasp of depth, though, the last few chapters seemed tightly-packed and random in terms of pacing and plot, respectively. Maybe 12 chapters is just too short of a story for me to become emotionally invested into it. Regardless, the story was unsatisfying to me.
