Anyway, the plot doesn't make much sense in the side story, would have been better to stop at ch15, which wasn't even a good story at that point either but wtv.

In the Cataril family, each generation there is someone with primordial magic (to become Arcaea's guardian), and it was supposed to be Eusebia but her magic is really weak apparently. Anyway, after the marriage, in the carriage she got attacked and killed by an arrow. Then in a ghost appareance, she could see what happened afterwards but was stuck in the woods where she died. Canach became mad and annuled the alliance, preparing for war. Meanwhile, Dietrich who was hiding came and said he was glad to got rid of a nuisance and that it was his plan since quite a while ago. It was a deal he made with a magician guy who was allowed to kill her how he wanted, in exchange he (Dietrich) wanted Canach at his feet or smth. The magician said that Diectrich will become King and Arcaea will win the war, that will expand across the continent and become an empire. So the war happened, and Dietrich accused Canach to have killed Eusebia, which made him able to rally the other kingdoms around. But Canach killed them all, and Zander and Eusebia's father died as well. 3 years later, Diectrich became an hostage and he got killed by Canach. Overcome by sorrow, she plead her powers (the Argenwood) to help her avoid this disaster. And she got sent back in time, to when she was 10yo. She got more powers from the Argenwood and time skip 10y later, to her being 20yo. So this time, she becomes more important and protect her kingdom pretty well. But Canach is sitll expanding his territory and all, and asks for her hand. Dietriech asks Eusebia to spy on Canach and report everything to him. He tells her that they are preparing for war and other northern kingdoms agreed to it as well (like in the past). Apparently she cannot use her powers outside of Arcaea and she won't be able to become pregnant bc of the Argenwood. Anyway, the marriage happens again, but Canach is acting differently. Nicer and all. He seems to also remember the past (he said he didn't wanted to lose someone dear to him AGAIN and ch30.5 show her death from his pov, like a memory). Ah and they also have met when they were young but she doesn't remember.
