It's interesting because compared to other stories, this one show before and after the downfall of monarchy and the rise of republic and all. But I'm sad for her, she believed in her first love, Ludwig, even if they both were at the bottom and struggling in debts. But the obsessive ML never changed his mind, even after eight years and waited for the right moment to capture her. Idk how to feel. Also, have a hard time to like FL besides that, her personnality is just loud. ALSO, this in NOT a shoujo. There is smut at some point and wow, I wasn't expecting it.

The FL went back in time after dying from poison that she drank in a miserable attempt to escape a death sentence by her husband (who didn't know anything about her being jailed). The red haired girl (the illigimate child of her father) is her husband's mistress who lied to her about the death sentence to gave her the poison so that she could be the queen (the husband is the king). Spoilers from a comment : "She lived a miserable first life. Her father was a cheater the entire time and it eventually drove her mother to the grave. She had a horrible marriage to the king. I don’t know if he was bad in bed or just no one explained to him the importance of foreplay. But that pain and his treatment of her in full view of people who would treat her poorly if he did ensured she died childless. She was forced to consummate her marriage in front of a crowd, she was belittled by the servants, she didn’t receive love, respect or basic human decency from her husband, and her sister was the mistress. Then she kills herself and is reborn to the week after her mother died. Her mother was the power in that relationship but she allowed obsessive love to make her a weak doormat. So now FL is kicking out her father and evil half sister. The entire time her mother was pregnant he was having an affair and he planned to take the power and money of his wife to start a new life with his mistress. Well the mistress died before the wife so now the evil sister thinks she’ll take it all for her self. Even at a young age she’s shown to be extremely power hungry and scheming. Hence why she and the father took all the power and authority from FL and why she tried to slide her way into her sisters marriage bed. Plot twist. Her husband the king has also been reborn. And he deeply regrets how bad the relationship with his wife was. Surprisingly enough he actually loved her. He was upset with how his wife’s family treated her like a doormat and how desperate she was for their approval and affection. He hated her power hungry father trying to use his daughter to social climb. He hated and distrusted her evil sister who was trying to become his new wife. But he knew the evil sister had the power to do something truly terrible to FL so he kept her close….. as his mistress who HE DID have sex with. Logic warp. Now that he has a chance for a do over his first goal is to go see his now 12 year old wife, problem is she hates the country and sets sail to a new one across the sea. And he’s literally left standing at the pier wondering what the hell is happening. She never did that in their last life, she never even left the capital or the surrounding area of it. So the first thing he does is to rack his brains to remember every little detail about his wife. He disbanded the law stating consummation needed an audience. He changed the castle to reflect things she liked. He made changes with the intention of making their relationship a happy marriage once’s he marries her again. Too bad she remembers their past life and is NOT doing a repeat. Unfortunately things don’t go the way she wants. He literally threaten the king of the new island nation she’s living in with war if that king doesn’t do what he says. So now FL has to marry her ex husband or be the reason for a war. Eventually it only takes 6 chapters after that for him to realize that she remembers and he has a shit ton of work cut out for him. After that I stopped reading while waiting for updates on the novel. So I can’t tell you what happens next." The novel is apparently quite sad but has a happy ending. It's a really slow burn romance, with miscommunication as usual. "Oh gawd the number of times I tried to drop the novel coz of how tragic the MC's life is... It's a happy ending. But damn it was a painful roller coaster. I don't think I can even read the comic coz of how much I felt tormented by that ML. Because although it ended with a happy ending. And that the ML did loved the FL even in her previous life, I can never ever forgive him. All it takes is communication and honesty, but he decided to torment FL in the guise of "protecting" her. U hate tropes like that. I most definitely hate tropes where the FL still ends up coming back to the same trash ML that abused her from her previous life."

"GOT THE SPOILERS The prince is the male lead, although some people say he becomes much more bearable as time goes Now. Fl is actually illegitimate daughter of a marquis that was chased out of the house when she was 5 with her mom then went to live at a theater because her mother was an actress back in the day. Fl disguise habit actually starts when she is young because in this time period it was common for commoner / performing arts woman to be raped and becoming nobles playthings that's actually where all the fame of the theater comes from, so she disguises herself as unpleasant to the eye so she doesn't catch the attention of nobles. Fl gets this secret job as the prince's bedroom maid that keep his sexual life a secret from thw world because she wants to repay the owner of the theater for all these years of shelter and housing but the prince falls in love with her in a very cliché way. But the FL manages to escape the moment he says he wants to make her his concubine. This where a Duke comes in, it's because of someone's network that he finds out about the FL and he meets her midway her escape. The plan is for her to pretend to be the dukes daughter Iris who is terribly sick as they have a striking similarity (they are cousins because Iris mother was the FL's father's sister) however the Duke actually doesn't want the FL to live after this deal and plans to kill her. She manages to open a boutique and profit as a business women and has the debut as iris, finds the ml again and he says he wants to marry her for the beneficial connections but says he wants his maid to be allowed as a concubine (he doesn't know fl is noble blood if he knew he would have made her empress right away). Fl rejects and he finds her familiar so he sends people to get more info on her. This leads to the ml confronting the Duke while also appearing everyday in front of the fl. When the fl finds out that the Duke intended to kill her (and someone else called Simone that I neglected to mention) she decides to finally go along with the prince get engaged to him and make sure the others plans wouldn't go throught. Her dad and step sister will make appearances, her dad is a good for nothing thag only says he did love her and her mother but couldn't do anything, her sister is a sociopath thag believes the fl is at fault for how her dad never showed her warmth. So basically the fls father coldness lead to the fls step sister turning into a fucking sociopath thay blames the fl for everything and the dad a good for nothinh that can't do shit EDIT: . i wanted to make the small edit to include why people believe the ml to be much more bearable as the novel goes on! The moment the ml starts to scheme for the fls sake he is actually super quick to eliminate every person that opposes the fl, he doesnt let them scheme for long the moment he catches them he makes sure to end their lives and i believe that is a quality some male leads lack in stories that would desperately need this,, so his efficiency in eliminating all the thread to the fls plans is what earns him many points in the eyes of the reader still doesn't make his early chapters sexual life chapters any better"

Did he turn back time or smth ? He keeps talking about "she is safe this time" and blablabla. Is it linked to his pocket watch ? " I friggin detest is throwing the word tyrant around for what??? Clout??? All these damn ois wanna be like tyrant tyrant and then they literally chicken out from having him act tyrant. You telling me this emperor known as a tyrant who is obsessed with FL (it seems) ain't gonna torture and kill the man that almost beat his fiance to death??? Like ARE YOU KI D D I N G MEEEE? "The og Seria acted the way she did because of how horrible her family treated her, when she moved away she was free. But this drowning incident is NOT a damn mistake, that girl almost died! It’s freezing cold and his ass decided to drown Seria simply because they don’t like her and was willing to commit such an act all because…they didn’t like Seria. Seria’s family was willing to dub this whole thing as a mistake and not care about it. The og Seria may be gone but the body still remembers the trauma. Being around Caussis ( forgot how to spell his name ) brings back nothing but trauma. This is just horrible and I’m glad that now she’s with people that genuinely care about her. Also ( spoiler warning ) Rouche got back at the bastard that tried to drown his wife when she was little. I didn’t read the novel but I saw the chapter of what happened to him. I don’t feel sorry for him at all. I’ve seen in stories where people will do some really messed up things simply because they really don’t like a person but for this to happen at a young age is just really sad. And the argument of “ He was little he didn’t know any better,” that doesn’t justify what he did, you don’t try to kill someone because you don’t like them. God and thought Karina’s family was bad ( anyone curious that’s the story Karina’s last days/Limited extra time ). But nope, Seria’s family is most definitely the worst."

And that's when she travelled back in time. Leoni finds herself back in childhood, twenty years prior. Obviously she wents revenge. She went for Magda first, as she killed Paula and was also trying to kill Guidon as well as Sherin (because Guidon would suffer if she died) with toxic paint/dye in different things (like Guidon's chair or Sherin's dress, and before the time travel she also gave arsonic to Sherin and Leoni like for Paula). She was mad at both family because of her dead sister Eliza who was the first lover of Guidon. We learn that Sherin is indeed Guidon child but not Nathan, the second born. He is the son of Magda's personnal guard, the man she truly loves. Rutger might have traveled back in time/remember their life as well. Anyway, she went into a drawing to see what he did after she disappeared and he put her (bloody) dress on display in his bedroom (a bit strange but okay). He seemed concerned and all but she seems blind. Anyway, she is uncomfortable with him even as a child even though he did nothing yet. She is quite harsh on him for no reason and pisses me off. He went to the North to work for some bastard who did inhuman experiments, but as they were not allowed to leave anymore and got into danger, he put a spell on their child to put him into a slumber at the cost of his life. The only way to wake him up was to use the blood of the caster. So the Northern bastard could do nothing do the child since the only person who could wake him up was dead. Reudiger found him after Leoni's disappearnce thinking the child would make her come back. When she learned of her childs situation she brought his father from the current timeline and used his blood to wake up their son. And in the future he got to see his mom through the painting, he visited her but had to be supported by magic(?) since he didn't exist in that timeline. In the end the baby had a happy ending (●'◡'●)ﾉ"
