As if the author didn't really which direction the story would take in the earliest chapters. I don't like the flow of the story, and the author keeps adding new stuff (like divine beast, black magic, etc.). But some stuffs almost seem like they weren't planned, if I can describe it like that. The ML is nice but kinda dull, the FL is pretty much a Mary Sue, and Sasha is cute. I'm a bit disappointed about the appearance of the ML, he looks blander than his aide Livan or his late brother (at least he had a better hairstyle). I like Noah more, the fact that he used to be the right-hand man of the Empress had smth way more interesting. Too bad he isn't the ML. 3.5/5. ------------------------ She is Charlize Lienta, daughter of Duke Lienta, who had a crush on the former Emperor's half-brother Grand Duke Calix. She was kinda obsessed and even stalked him, so of course when he had a lover she harassed her. Then she got executed for this/she killed herself with poison (it changed through the story, wtv). At least that's how it happened in the novel, that she realized she was reborn/isekaied in a year ago. But at that point in time, the ML hadn't met the Fl yet, so to change her fate, she sent an apology letter to the Grand Duke and left in a distant territory. With the excuse of needing to "self-reflect". She enjoyed her quiet life until one day, a year after, her father called her back to the capital. He said the capital was in an uproar because the former prince Sasha (the child of the previous Emperor) is still alive apparently, even though he was supposed to have died 7y ago with his mother the Imperial Noble Consort. But guess what ? On her way to her mansion, she saw a child getting bullied by a bunch of thugs and saved him, taking her with her to her mansion even! Anyway, in the novel, the FL Irian found the former prince and brought him to the Grand Duke. She had to stay at his mansion bc the child didn't want her to live, that's why they lived together and the ML and FL ended up falling for each other. ANYWAY, while talking the father mentioned that the child had blue eyes and black hair, just like the child she found on the street. To avoid being misunderstood and involved with Calix, she sent Sasha alone and told him to never pronounce her name to Calix. But got busted quickly. Also, since she felt bad for the of FL, she went to find her to sponsor her drawings and all (she is an artist, daughter of the fallen Viscount family Lapranche) and they became friends. During a ball that Calix held, he invited Charlize bc he was suspicious of her. When their eyes met, Charlize saw a future that wasn't in the novel or anything, so she suspects that she saw the future of this timeline. Since then, she would sometimes see the future when their eyes meet.

The novel is from the ML POV, Viscount Roel Arnen. But it was a pretty tragic novel, where Roel had it hard... Like from the beginning, his heart's core exploded and he lost the use of both legs (problem he managed to solve at some point, then he could walk again). He ended up quitting being a knight after losing his aura abilities (or wtv it's called/mean). Then, bc it wasn't enough, he lost his family, home and everything else. Without surprise, he became a villain who was miserably killed at the end. To help him, who is kinda wary, she wanted to get closer to him : so a marriage it is. She wants to take care of him until he can walk again, and also to avoid his bloody fate.

The ML is a butler! Which is pretty rare so we will see. But she is kinda brainless as people said in the comments. So I don't have high hopes for this.

She used to be a Korean woman, Han Suyeon, who got killed in a gas explosion. Alice was from a poor viscount family, with a successor brother and a sickly younger sister. She ended up being sold off to the ducal family, whose son Karlus/Kailus Dearrat (her husband) had been lying unconscious in bed since 6 months ago. NB: it's because he got poisoned by Harleen. And he didn't wake up until he died. She was a minor character who only appeared at the beginning of the novel bc she got sentenced to life imprisonment or death after her attempt. Anyway, to avoid that she plans to use the doctor who created the poisons, Helkin, and she discovered she has divine powers so she uses that to treat Kailus. She also wants to join the church and become a priest to be safe. Lo and behold, he woke up way earlier than they thought. But at first, he kept it a secret, to examine the situation and all. About the novel, the FL was Siena Meltein (red hair green eyes), Kailus's cousin. She thought the stepmother was sus but didn't have proof. In the end, the duchy of Diarhart disappeared. She was looking to restore it or smth, and she found the third prince (blond hair) by coincidence and treated him since he was hurt. They fell in love and happy end.
