The FL went back in time after dying from poison that she drank in a miserable attempt to escape a death sentence by her husband (who didn't know anything about her being jailed). The red haired girl (the illigimate child of her father) is her husband's mistress who lied to her about the death sentence to gave her the poison so that she could be the queen (the husband is the king). Spoilers from a comment : "She lived a miserable first life. Her father was a cheater the entire time and it eventually drove her mother to the grave. She had a horrible marriage to the king. I don’t know if he was bad in bed or just no one explained to him the importance of foreplay. But that pain and his treatment of her in full view of people who would treat her poorly if he did ensured she died childless. She was forced to consummate her marriage in front of a crowd, she was belittled by the servants, she didn’t receive love, respect or basic human decency from her husband, and her sister was the mistress. Then she kills herself and is reborn to the week after her mother died. Her mother was the power in that relationship but she allowed obsessive love to make her a weak doormat. So now FL is kicking out her father and evil half sister. The entire time her mother was pregnant he was having an affair and he planned to take the power and money of his wife to start a new life with his mistress. Well the mistress died before the wife so now the evil sister thinks she’ll take it all for her self. Even at a young age she’s shown to be extremely power hungry and scheming. Hence why she and the father took all the power and authority from FL and why she tried to slide her way into her sisters marriage bed. Plot twist. Her husband the king has also been reborn. And he deeply regrets how bad the relationship with his wife was. Surprisingly enough he actually loved her. He was upset with how his wife’s family treated her like a doormat and how desperate she was for their approval and affection. He hated her power hungry father trying to use his daughter to social climb. He hated and distrusted her evil sister who was trying to become his new wife. But he knew the evil sister had the power to do something truly terrible to FL so he kept her close….. as his mistress who HE DID have sex with. Logic warp. Now that he has a chance for a do over his first goal is to go see his now 12 year old wife, problem is she hates the country and sets sail to a new one across the sea. And he’s literally left standing at the pier wondering what the hell is happening. She never did that in their last life, she never even left the capital or the surrounding area of it. So the first thing he does is to rack his brains to remember every little detail about his wife. He disbanded the law stating consummation needed an audience. He changed the castle to reflect things she liked. He made changes with the intention of making their relationship a happy marriage once’s he marries her again. Too bad she remembers their past life and is NOT doing a repeat. Unfortunately things don’t go the way she wants. He literally threaten the king of the new island nation she’s living in with war if that king doesn’t do what he says. So now FL has to marry her ex husband or be the reason for a war. Eventually it only takes 6 chapters after that for him to realize that she remembers and he has a shit ton of work cut out for him. After that I stopped reading while waiting for updates on the novel. So I can’t tell you what happens next." The novel is apparently quite sad but has a happy ending. It's a really slow burn romance, with miscommunication as usual. "Oh gawd the number of times I tried to drop the novel coz of how tragic the MC's life is... It's a happy ending. But damn it was a painful roller coaster. I don't think I can even read the comic coz of how much I felt tormented by that ML. Because although it ended with a happy ending. And that the ML did loved the FL even in her previous life, I can never ever forgive him. All it takes is communication and honesty, but he decided to torment FL in the guise of "protecting" her. U hate tropes like that. I most definitely hate tropes where the FL still ends up coming back to the same trash ML that abused her from her previous life."

She also learned that her mother Paula got killed by Sherin's mother Magda. But just when she was attacked by the guard Sherin brought, Rutger came to stop this. And that's when she travelled back in time. Leoni finds herself back in childhood, twenty years prior. Obviously she wents revenge. She went for Magda first, as she killed Paula and was also trying to kill Guidon as well as Sherin (because Guidon would suffer if she died) with toxic paint/dye in different things (like Guidon's chair or Sherin's dress, and before the time travel she also gave arsonic to Sherin and Leoni like for Paula). She was mad at both family because of her dead sister Eliza who was the first lover of Guidon. We learn that Sherin is indeed Guidon child but not Nathan, the second born. He is the son of Magda's personnal guard, the man she truly loves. Rutger might have traveled back in time/remember their life as well. Anyway, she went into a drawing to see what he did after she disappeared and he put her (bloody) dress on display in his bedroom (a bit strange but okay). He seemed concerned and all but she seems blind. Anyway, she is uncomfortable with him even as a child even though he did nothing yet. She is quite harsh on him for no reason and pisses me off. He went to the North to work for some bastard who did inhuman experiments, but as they were not allowed to leave anymore and got into danger, he put a spell on their child to put him into a slumber at the cost of his life. The only way to wake him up was to use the blood of the caster. So the Northern bastard could do nothing do the child since the only person who could wake him up was dead. Reudiger found him after Leoni's disappearnce thinking the child would make her come back. When she learned of her childs situation she brought his father from the current timeline and used his blood to wake up their son. And in the future he got to see his mom through the painting, he visited her but had to be supported by magic(?) since he didn't exist in that timeline. In the end the baby had a happy ending (●'◡'●)ﾉ"

Classic story, fast paced, the romance moves on too fast (almost love at first sight for both), dumb ex husband and bitch mistress, etc. Yeah no. She was around 30 and came back to her 10yo. She didn't die (or it's not shown, but pretty sure she died right after killing Rud, by poisoning too), just came back without any explanation as for now. Oh my, the tension between her and Rudbeckia the ML is great. I didn't enjoy the beginning much because she was quite ignorant, naive and childish, but after a while it got better. The fact that Rud also came back in time is good too. Storoni is interesting too, such a snake. Spoilers about the end : "Kalmia and Rudbeckia are romantically involved at this point. Rudbeckia is aware that Kalmia remembers their past life. Rudbeckia: "In my nightmares, you still hand me the poisoned wine. And I drink that wine every day. Because only by drinking it can I meet you who loves me." They talk about how in less than ten years, they will reach the age when they previously died and then they'll no longer know the future. Years later, when Kalmia is 28, she gives birth to twins who inherit Rudbeckia's black hair. She nearly dies in the process, much like her own mother who died giving birth to Kalmia and her twin brother. Rudbeckia doesn't want to have any more children after that since he is afraid that Kalmia wouldn't survive another childbirth. Kalmia and Rudbeckia are married, but Kalmia still goes by her own title of Countess Phlox. Also, it seems like Storoni had poisoned Kalmia as well in the first timeline. Storoni and Kalmia were lovers then, and he did have a twisted love or obsession for her, but he decided to kill her so he wouldn't be chained by his feelings for her. However, he regretted it and went insane afterwards, preserving her corpse and trying to resurrect her."

In the Cataril family, each generation there is someone with primordial magic (to become Arcaea's guardian), and it was supposed to be Eusebia but her magic is really weak apparently. Anyway, after the marriage, in the carriage she got attacked and killed by an arrow. Then in a ghost appareance, she could see what happened afterwards but was stuck in the woods where she died. Canach became mad and annuled the alliance, preparing for war. Meanwhile, Dietrich who was hiding came and said he was glad to got rid of a nuisance and that it was his plan since quite a while ago. It was a deal he made with a magician guy who was allowed to kill her how he wanted, in exchange he (Dietrich) wanted Canach at his feet or smth. The magician said that Diectrich will become King and Arcaea will win the war, that will expand across the continent and become an empire. So the war happened, and Dietrich accused Canach to have killed Eusebia, which made him able to rally the other kingdoms around. But Canach killed them all, and Zander and Eusebia's father died as well. 3 years later, Diectrich became an hostage and he got killed by Canach. Overcome by sorrow, she plead her powers (the Argenwood) to help her avoid this disaster. And she got sent back in time, to when she was 10yo. She got more powers from the Argenwood and time skip 10y later, to her being 20yo. So this time, she becomes more important and protect her kingdom pretty well. But Canach is sitll expanding his territory and all, and asks for her hand. Dietriech asks Eusebia to spy on Canach and report everything to him. He tells her that they are preparing for war and other northern kingdoms agreed to it as well (like in the past). Apparently she cannot use her powers outside of Arcaea and she won't be able to become pregnant bc of the Argenwood. Anyway, the marriage happens again, but Canach is acting differently. Nicer and all. He seems to also remember the past (he said he didn't wanted to lose someone dear to him AGAIN and ch30.5 show her death from his pov, like a memory). Ah and they also have met when they were young but she doesn't remember.
