The S-Classes That I Raised
God, this is hilarious.
Duke's Private Tutor
I'm not going to continue reading this. This was... so good. It really, really was. The story and characters were presented in a lighthearted, comedic way. The expressions on the characters' faces were what sold me on this being a BL romcom in aristocratic form. Then we get to chapter 18 and readers get blindsided with the typical non-con fare. It just goes downhill from there. The tonal shift in the narrative was so jarring I couldn't get back into the story or look at the love interest the same way. RIP.
Oni to Tengoku
The nurse is a bit weird and off-putting at the beginning; I didn't know if I should mentally prepare myself for psychological fucked up shit based on the first chapter... but it was surprisingly tame. The nurse just doesn't believe in love and likes to have fun lol. The teacher is a sympathetic figure who has a pure/innocent view of romantic and physical relationships. He's an interesting character. His mother abused him when he was a kid but she showed him motherly affection too, which left him with complicated feelings towards her and (perhaps) women. So, now as an adult, he has difficulty developing romantic or sexual (or reciprocal, i guess?) relationships with his partners. The nurse plays a part in prying into this issue... bc it's fun lol. Anyway, this is the teacher and nurse's unusual love story. It's pretty good.
Muri Marriage
Two young men have to get married for the good of the village. It ended up being a lot more smutty than I initially expected lmao.
The Worst Guy in the Universe
Faded First Love
This is a sweet depiction of adolescent relationships. It's very PG for most of the manga, but considering the personalities of the two leads, it makes total sense lol. The story is pretty funny and sweet.
