paying heed to trigger warnings, do give this a chance. this took every trope i despise, allowed for legimate character development in the most heartwarming way and positive way i didn't think was possible for this genre. i understand the hesitancy for ppl to continue but the most genuine regret is expressed by the character who does something frankly ungorgivable, and is solved through gradual healing and overall healthy communication. i do have some minor gripes as i do with all r18 bl centering on presumed minors and (spoiler // it could've been better articulated that gou stole motoki's suppressants to swoop in and save the day rather than intending to SA from the beginning - its implied both boys overcome some unconscious animalistic desire that's part of their nature as alpha omega which seems to drive the inciting incident in the beginning. /end spoilers) if you can read between the lines and know a little about japanese culture, this is quite progressive for bl and takes a refreshing approach to its relevant problematic tropes. instead of looking at it based on its too often poorly portrayed subjects, consider how it subverts them rather than ignoring the toxicity and manipulation as with too many bl stories. i have not written a single comment on this site in the 10+ years I've been reading bl, but i strongly feel it would be a shame to label this as just another icky omegaverse story and not give it a chance.
