That accident deeply traumatised Akito thats why he so overprotective and also Ryouta was in come after that accident and he woke up after 2 yrs.

Roche gave his second heart to human in order just to die peacefully and then he ask Akashi to kill him by shooting that human (that human is irrelevant) that was fucking sad because Akashi and Roche love each other but they cant give their second heart to a fellow vampire so even though they wanted to die each other they cant.
