THIS is a masterpiece. i love this manhwa so so much, the writing is genuinely of the best i’ve seen, along with the great art. im really moved at how you can also take this story as a metaphor for being gay or any other minority in the world, how you cant really feel connected with others that aren’t „the same” as you. genuinely cried when the flashback to when jihyeok was in college and realized he’s in love with gido, it’s so pure yet so devastating, like the way he would hold himself back just because he’s a beta and gido’s an alpha. and i say that as someone who barely cries during any show, comic whatever. i’m also a sucker for the childhood friend trope (i know they’re technically not childhood friends but they’ve known each other for a long time) and the way that these two were SO obvious that they had the same feeling but could never actually reach the other, is so beautiful. just like that quote „how strange is it to be anything at all”
