has potential but goes downhill halfway through. far from the worst I've read but the comments say it all

ah, one of the first webtoons I ever read. apparently on first read I gave it the sweet and fav but on a 2024 reread.... this may be the only yaoi I accuse of having too MUCH plot. it was convoluted, stupid, AND boring. it felt like a straight half of it was just plot I didnt care about while the leads were separated. on top of that the leads had no chemistry off the bat and their relationship felt very forced. I found the sex scenes unsatisfying but what I like in bdsm is very specific. sigh

the writing in the beginning was weird cuz it didn't seem like they were childhood friends but overall a mostly wholesome romance that believably slips into toxicity and then resolves it ok. but all the drama with the ex was so over the top and unnecessary. though I was skeptical of his side story I was happy with the direction it took lol...

the main conflict doesnt make sense cuz my guy made a whole syllabus and taught him actual skills so like where the lie lmao. also ppl are overblowing the 3way side story, not only is it a dream but in the dream they imply its hojuns idea so...not cheating? lmao
