The Sound of Sugar Cubes
Messed but but interesting. Hanyul is friends with another orphan, Dolph, and they dream of being singers. He’s also friends with a rich boy, Harold, who’s in a boy band. One day he sees his friend being gang-raped and Harold talking about killing him. He falls and blacks out and when he’s awake Dolph has vanished. Convinced Harold murdered him, Hanyul disappears and changes his name. When working as a delivery boy he runs into a producer (?) names Weon Lee, who hears him sing and finds out who he is because he coincidentally knows Harold too. Weon Lee is obsessed on making him a successful singer and forces him into it by promising him revenge on Harold. Harold turns out was is a psycho and was in love with Hanyul in high school
A Thousand Cranes
Moody and dark but also sexy and sweet. Poor Craig is paying off a massive debt by working to death when one night he sees a man standing over a freshly murdered body. The murderer is a yakuza named Chun, who is dealing with severe psychological issues from all the people he’s killed. Chun is instantly entranced by Craig and instead of killing him he takes over his debt and has Craig work for him. Chun eventually realizes that he’s in love with Craig.
Love Barometer
Really sweet. Chaewoon comes back to college after taking a bit of time off after she had a relationship go bad and a bunch of terrible rumors spread about her. When she gets back she has to deal with feeling scared of getting too close to people, especially Sado, a popular guy who is curious about her.
Please Draw me, Love!
Cuteness! Illustrator Aiden gets offered to work with his idol who turns out to be his neighbor, Mason, who gives him treats and seems shy and awkward
Truth or Dare
Really confusing. The characters are constantly spouting philosophical thoughts that I don’t quite get. The main character is a “Dare”, a person who can lie, in a world where only “Truths” are supposed to exist. The class president pursues him but is very mysterious and manipulative.
A Typical Romance
Doctor’s new patient turns out to be his first love. The patient demands attention and the Dr. has a hard time keeping his distance. Then they sleep together and the dr realizes that it meant nothing to the patient so he tries harder to distance himself. Kinda interesting story, though I don’t like the uke patient.
