ETA 2021: This is still pretty, and I still enjoyed it, but it’s either something with this author or some thing about their writing that is lost in translation. Their works miss the emotional mark for me. A lot of introspection and not a lot of forward momentum.

Gamou had been in love with his best friend for years, but his friend couldn't reciprocate. When the boy he'd loved in high school and been forcibly separated from by their families ten years earlier comes back into his life, things come to a head. [Spoilers ahead] Honestly, I wanted Gamou to get back together with his high school boyfriend, but I liked the way this ended up anyway. I just wish it hadn't taken a third person's feelings for people to come to their senses. The side story between the second prosecutor and the assistant was very welcome. I'd been pulling for them since the start. :-D

A boy from a wealthy family goes to work in a restaurant in order to learn how the rest of the world lives, and while there meets another boy who is very poor. He eventually decides to live on his own and become independent, and after some initial confusion over motives, he and the other boy fall in love. His butler has the second story, about his love affair with the restaurant's manager.

Middle school friends who attend separate high schools still ride the bus together every day.

The first few pages are apparently missing from this site. In them, the characters meet in the park when Asada has passed out in a bush. Nao helps him and gives him the address to his house. The story follows the build of their friendship, which is broken when Nao moves to France to study pastry making. But they're reunited three years later and anger comes out.

A young man realizes his best friend, who comes to the restaurant where he works every day, is in love with him.

Mutual pining between long-term friends. One brings women back to his friend's apartment frequently, and things come to a head.
