Terrible. I'd rather it be told in the perspective of the alpha so I can better "sympathize" (maybe not the right word because what he did is still unforgivable) with his actions. I still do not condone what he did but a negative character arc would have been more interesting and could have taken this into a dark and psychological theme. This is not the kind of story you should be telling in fluff. Now this is just like a rap3 victim letting off his rap!st easily. I don't care even if they have the bond of childhood friends.
