Gochisousama ga Kikoenai!

Ongoing | Pokerou | 2021 released

Welp I accidentally deleted my review ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ Uke's boss, whom he looks up to, gets possessed by an incubus and kow they have to fuck to keep the boss alive. Boss has angst about fucking his loyal subordinate and assuming he hates it. Uke has angst about fucking his boss and assuming his boss hates it. It's delicious. Also they're in love Shoutout to the incubus for somehow being the voice of reason and lowkey supportive of their relationship. I think that's roughly the gist of my review before I deleted it 7 or 8/10?

Ame to Kiss

Complete | Akihira Shiro | 2000 released

Its unpopular seme x insecure uke, ukes insecurities skyrocket when the seme is transferred for 4 months and it nearly ends their relationship. It's a little cliche and dramatic but I liked it enough. I liked the bit of build up we got 6/10

Life Senjou no Bokura

Complete | TOKOKURA Miya | 2016 released

I literally do not have the tags to describe this one, it does a lot of things different from the usual. The manga follows these two lovers from when the meet in high school, through the struggles of college, and the struggles of adulthood beyond adulthood, and it's very sweet and painful. I loved how whimsical their meeting was, both walking the painted line, conjuring the danger waiting if they fell to either side. I love the lil tango(?) they do to get around it. It made me so happy!! You watch their romantic relationship build and then fall apart as harsh reality and their own insecurities catch up with them. And when they find each other again, it almost hurts as much as it heals. And then you watch them grow old and we return to that painted line on the street and we follow that to the end of the story and their lives. Rarely do you see a story that ends when the characters lives end outside of a tragedy. I'm really happy to have read this. Wow. This story gets just poetic enough that it brought out my own poetic side that hasn't seen the light of day since high school, I've gotta give this a 9/10

Love Request No.0510

Complete | Yuzu Marita | 2000 released

Ch 1-3: guy mistakenly orders a crossdressing male escort instead of female, isnt into it at first but then is very into it Ch 4-6: restaurant owner gets confessed to by a patron who later becomes a worker there. There's some angst bc the uke is like 10 years older and dowsnt wanna take away the semes future (right?? I'm not thinking of a different manga am i... ?) Ans then they make up and fuck. Tbh I read this a while ago and dont remember much. Overall 5 it 6/10?

Surge Looking For You

Complete | Chung Yun | 2000 released

Completed at ch 50. I was starting to get tired of the uke and seme blaming themselves for each others problems. That's not a bad conflict it just happened like... every 5 chapters. They have an issue angst about it, resolve it kinda, and then immediately go through the same angst again. For 50 chapters. The relationship was realistically codependent but pretty cute. They couldnt stop fucking for ONE chapter tho. It was either drama and angst or fucking. Often both. I think they fucked more than they talked. Also not into pregnant sex and fully thought the uke would abort the baby ¯_(ツ)_/¯ 6/10 name on MAL is Surge Towards You

Ameagari no Bokura ni Tsuite

Complete | Rakuta shoko | 2019 released

The women in this one suck, but I guess that's common in BL. Lame. The relationship was very cute. Both seme and uke had massive insecurities. The semes stems from his codependent, over attached mom. I wasnt expecting that tbh. Also, the cover scammed me. I thought there would be more cats. This one was a 5/10. Didn't quite flow and spent more time in the past than I liked

Define The Relationship

Complete | Flona ,Chada | 2000 released

Completed at ch 98 (with an asterisk). Hm. Hm? Hmmmmm???? That kinda annoyed me??? I dunno why I didnt like this. It's got half if the tropes I like... it's got angst and drama but green flag semes and cute insecure ukes but like. The seme kinda.... pisser me off. Even when they broke up and he SAID he was feeling miserable, he doesn't show it. The uke is crying, his eyes are red rimmed and empty. He's trying his best to hold it together and fulfill his duty. And the seme just rocks up, tells--no pleading, no apology, no desperation AT ALL--tells the uke they should give it another go. I'm definitely missing huge bits of this since I started in ch 30 and also skipped like chapters 70-90. I cant complain took much But I just felt frustrated by the seme. Also the arranged marriage plot was just kinda... resolved... idk. Ummm 6/10??

Chiya's Just an Unstable Guy

Complete | Furuya Chiruko | 2000 released

Aww they're so cuuuute! I appreciate that the uke's self aware about his communication problems and I'm really happy he was able to overcome them enough at the end. The seme is very sweet and patient with his mess of an uke, and I loved seeing it. There's a little bit of drama, which I live for and fantastic payoff 7/10

Daisy Jealousy

Complete | OGERETSU Tanaka,Ogeretsu Tanaka | 2019 released

MC desperately wants to be a video game modeler for a big game company. It's been his dream since childhood and he works really hard in vocational school to achieve it. One of his classmates, a quite and unsociable guy, is really really good at modeling, and MC winds up developing a nasty inferiority complex. Although he acts nice to his rival, it eats away at him inside. After they graduate, and his rival lands a job at MC's dream company, our MC's jealousy reaches a head and he gives up on modeling all together. Throughout this, MC and his rival have a messy off again on again romantic relationship They're both a mess but I appreciate the realistic look at how it feels when someone is just better than you at the thing you love. Inferiority complexes are brutal. I'll be honest, I wasn't really rooting for the relationship. The rival was too oblivious and the MC's inferiority complex was too all consuming. I'm glad they worked things out but I almost would've liked this more if they didn't. Dunno. Either way, 8/10

Light of My Life

Ongoing | Takiba, Minami Fuuko | 2000 released

Seme works as a hairdresser, having given up his dream of being a soccer player. Uke has a lot of guilt for causing the seme's injury, so he became a host to earn the money and network to help seme's salon through advertising. Big angst from both these characters being simultaneously too proud and too lacking in self worth. I did really appreciate that the uke still uses his medical knowledge, although I dont think becoming a host--an industry famous for its unhealthy alcohol dependency--is the best idea... Anyway, 7/10 for the feels
