Joo Hawon inherits his fathers insanely large debt following his passing, which his father had collected through less than honest means. Living in fear of debt collectors for 15 years he meets Kwon Taeha while working at a casino, who recruits him in order to find something Joo's father left behind for him to find.
I wish they'd be more honest with each other. Taeha definitely has looked down condescendingly towards Joo Hawan before. Maybe even thought how pitiful his life has been but his possessiveness and protectiveness of him isn't terrible. He's never struck or maimed him & the MC shouldn't really blame the ML for protecting his own heart when he's doing the same
