Though for what reason was history altered is unknown. MC is trying to find the champion’s — the one who personally killed the demon king — whereabouts for information. • The gods of the world want MC’s soul — the soul of a swordmaster — as they say it can ‘free them’, allowing them to be ‘complete’ and need not rely on human faith to exist.
