Chase miller is a dominant alpha, which is a quite rare thing, so all his life was affected by that, specially his family relations (his father and brother are dominant alphas and his younger brother is a dominant omega). Because of a childhood trauma he became afraid of dogs (it wasn't explained yet). Joshua or Josh is a recessive omega, his pheromones aren't really strong. He slept with Chade after he went into a party (dominant alphas need this partied to release pheromones through sex) but Chase was only affected by all that pheromones, so he went into a rut and slept with Josh, eventually impregnating and marking him. After that Chase had a memory loss, so he didn't know who he slept with and didn't remember marking someone. Joshua became pregnant and raised his kid by himself, after his mother fells ill he needs goes to a job for a rich man to gather more money for her treatment, but the rich man was Chase Miller.
