280625 (30) SHUT UPPP I MIGHT CRY THAT WAS SOOO FUCKING GOOD this is WILDLY underrated holy fuck. the plot is so insanely well fleshed out and especially for such a short manhwa. it's got such an original storyline and MAN THE CHARACTERS!!! these two are so perfect for each other. it's crazy how well this author wrote their dynamic and the development of their relationship in the midst of such a chaotic and action packed plot. everything worked together so fucking well. like their relationship felt SO NATURAL and so beautiful. watching them fall in love with each other, fight for each other and live for each other really hit so hard my lord this reminded me how much i love enemies to lovers trope. THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE FR !! like they are so fucking cute tgt by the end despite starting off on opposing sides. 8.9 for this absolute masterpiece is actually diabolical. GIVE THIS MANHWA THE 9.4 IT DESERVES. and an official english translation PLEASEE IM BEGGING honestly i only have one criticism, which was that i really hated what the tornado kid did. that was genuinely so evil and despicable, it broke my heart. but yeah WOW other than that this manhwa was fucking phenomenal. i almost forgot to mention but AHH the art !!! i knew it was so familiar but couldn't put a finger on it until i saw someone mention it. this artist drew the sushi restaurant owner and mermaid manhwa OMG. man the art in this was so fucking good and i'm in LOVE with the character designs. gahh i'm so obsessed with these two i cannot wait to read the side story! 2906 (35.5) NAMDONG WAS NEW TO WEBTOONS AND BL??? AND THEN CREATED THIS ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE?! oh my god this was genuinely so good and FUCKK those side stories were adorable!! i'm so obsessed i'm already thinking of rereading

040725 (84) ok i got a lot of thoughts lmaoo first off, wtf was that abrupt ahh ending?? 2nd, this story is so goddamn long for the plot it has like the slow burn is crazy. i ended up finishing it bc it is mindless entertainment, but damn that was lwk really boring i would not recommend it. it's also extremely childish and written like a wattpad story, especially the dialogue. the art is also extremely wonky at times and there was no improvement whatsoever despite having 84 chapters. this was cute when the two finally got together, but before that it was honestly quite cringe and basic lmao. also, it took like a billion chapters for them to get tgt and then when they finally got tgt it was only like 10 chapters before the manhua was over. the pacing is just not it

050625 (86) tell me why i wasted several hours reading this shit... oh my god this was so badly written. i'm so disappointed because it started off pretty strong but the more i read the worst it got. character: the main characters are extremely unlikeable, but especially the emperor. except for being gorgeous, i literally can't state a good trait about him. he's extraordinarily bland, has no character development, treats xue yuan like shit. also, he's supposed to be someone from the modern day who has transmigrated into a BL novel, so tell me why he lwk is a sadistic tyrannical emperor. he has no modern day attitudes, and nearly all of his actions are to expand his empire and keep his throne. he has barely any reaction to brutality and death, and in fact celebrates it. if he were in a modern day society he'd be seen as an absolute psychopath. i don't like xue yuan much either, but i still find him much more likeable than gu yuanbai. they are both cruel af men, but at least it makes sense for the 'mad dog' to be... y'know, mad. but gu yuanbai is supposed to be a regular ahh guy who transmigrated but no he's insane. plot: the pacing of the plot is so absurdly terrible i don't even know what to say. it's also crazy that none of the transmigration stuff is explained whatsoever. we don't even know who gu yuanbai originally is, why he transmigrated, etc. not even the foundation of the plot is properly fleshed out, let alone the rest of this story. a whole 86 chapters and barely any substantial plot. they could have condensed all of this into half the number of chapters, because seriously, the plot is not engaging enough for it to be that long. romance: there is barely any romance. like 86 chapters in and gu yuanbai still isn't even remotely attracted to xue yuan. in fact, he is actively confirming that he is straight at every fucking chance he gets. he uses the fact that xue yuan likes him to his benefit, but then throws him away when xue yuan shows interest. all the meanwhile he's 'trying' to be a matchmaker for xue yuan and chu wei. what an actual waste of time. this is taking 'slow burn' to the extreme, but it's so badly written that there's no chemistry whatsoever, just two horrible people trying to use each other. i found their relationship dynamic interesting at the start, but it dragged on for so long with no development. also, when xue yuan fell for the emperor, the power dynamics became extremely unbalanced, with gu yuanbai having imperial power and being able to do wtv tf he wants to xue yuan, and also that xue yuan would love him no matter what he did. i also hate how xue yuan sexually harassed gu yuanbai several times too?? like, genuinely, what even is this manhua why the hell did i read this 'til the end...

060725 (side3) i wasn't feeling it at the start bc the smut to plot ratio was just way off but OH MY GOD i loved it by the end!! i especially enjoyed their dynamics from when they were in high school. also that ending was so sweet and perfect, i'm so happy for them.

290524 the way i gasped when i saw the cover holy fuck it is STUNNING! can't wait to read 170725 dns (26.5) genuinely SO FUCKING SWEET and this is just soo beautifully drawn. i was shocked to see it's in full colour!! at first i was pretty weirded out by the premise tbh (i would've had the exact same reaction as those boys if i saw a highschool boy being sexually aroused by girls at school, then splatter and run around naked LMAO help) but this turned out to be such a cute read! these two are sooo perfect for each other. shio is such a cutie and genuinely so beautiful. i lwk found him kinda insufferable at the start (though extremely funny), but he turned out to be so lovely and likeable! ALSO HIS ALIEN FORM OH MY GODDD wayy too cute omg minato is such a green flag it actually hurts. he's SUCH a sweetheart and incredibly handsome. omg one thing that i'm lwk sad about is that i feel like we don't really learn much about him? of course we learn a l ot through his actions, but he lwk only revolves around shio. i would have preferred if he also had his individual character arc in conjunction with shio's. kinda not the biggest fan of the second couple bc that's literally shio's uncle ???? but im happy for ran regardless, he deserves someone as kind as ria. tho at the same time i lwk don't like how ran treats ria bc it's so done up, all the hitting him but actually liking him shit lmao. i think the author intersected the side couple with the main couple SO well tho, like we we saw glimpses of the side couple but it never overshadowed the main couple. 250125 omg this looks so flipping good how has no one i follow marked this yet ahh 290825 (15) ughh idkkk. i was really enjoying this at the start but in the recent chapters i'm a little "eh..." i'm just not a fan of pushy semes like if he doesn't like u rn, don't just keep pushing?? it's just uncomfortable to read to me. and also the fact that their first time was while the uke was drunk is also iffy too me.. also like the seme sucking him off at the office even tho he said not to also pissed me off lol. i just feel like the consent could be better here. but anyway onto the good stuff? the art style is super cute and i especially adore how the artist draws and colours backgrounds and objects! they just look so prettyy
