230625 (6.5) OH MY GOD I MIGHT CRY THAT WAS SO GODDAMN GOOD THIS DESERVES A HIGHER RATING WTF 8.8 DOES NOT DO THIS MASTERPIECE JUSTICE!! genuinely so well written and holy fuck that ending made me soo happy. i love these two characters they are so well fleshed out and it is especially impressive considering there are only 6 chapters !! also i knew i recognised this art style omg it's so distinctive. same author as 'Yoiyoi Monologue,' god the way they draw bodies is just SO beautiful. also my god do i love their character designs THEY LOOK SO GOODDD. i'm actually obsessed with this story the progression of it was just so well thought out and it's like i can feel exactly what the characters are experiencing i swear. i'm so sad to part with it !! only an one hour long journey but so much conveyed in so little time, i can't stop thinking about how good this was. OH MY GOD I ALMOST FORGOT TO ADD but the little mermaid reference !!! it hit EXTRA hard because i had just studied an extract of it the other day for my illustration assignment and reinterpreted the scene. the author referenced to the perfect fairy tale for this story. not only bc of the idea that "monsters and humans live in different worlds" but also bc hans christian anderson was most likely a closeted homosexual. he wrote a love letter to a male friend who got engaged around the same time he wrote the fairy tale god this was beautiful. i'm genuinely astonished at how good this was. i had no clue that i was gonna experience a whole masterpiece when i first clicked 'start reading' MANNN 8.8 does not do this justice. everything about this was so well crafted: characters, plot and art. god i love akemi and oka so much, the progression of their relationship throughout the story was just so phenomenally depicted. sugura was also just the perfect side character for this story. i love how he distinctively feels like his own character too, as in not JUST serving as a wingman but having his own individual identity.

250625 (31.5) i might CRY OF JOY THIS MANHWA IS SO FUCKING GOOd i've been so depressed these days and yet this manhwa somehow managed to have me CACKLING like brought me so much genuine joy and laughter. i am so thankful to the author helppp, what an amazingly written and drawn webtoon. this is exactly what i needed right now oml. and i almost forgot but omg so thankful to the translator too of course!! the memes and comments at the end were so funny to read, and literally every time i was like "holy shit i was thinking the EXACT same thing!!" LMAO. both the characters are written so mf well and the plot is just LOVELY. i love their personalities and dynamics immensely, and i love the setting of 1995 korea. i honestly just love everything about this i cannot. so cute, so funny, so beautiful, so interesting. GOD i'm so happy that there's gonna be a season 2 for a second i thought that was it and was gonna cry HAHAH i'm so excited to read more of them! also praying for spin off of seunghoon x yeonseo pls and thank u. i'm gonna save the side story (au) for a little later, i cannot wait to read. the comments say it's sad or smth tho praying for myself LMAO honestly the only thing i'm kinda "eh" abt is the whole crossdressing childhood. it's SUCH an overused trope so i was lwk disappointed and seeing it i'm just like "wow here we go again for the billionth time." but i'll see how it goes in s2 bc that's when the full childhood will be revealed. then i shall cast my final judgement lmaoo.

THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE FR !! like they are so fucking cute tgt by the end despite starting off on opposing sides. 8.9 for this absolute masterpiece is actually diabolical. GIVE THIS MANHWA THE 9.4 IT DESERVES. and an official english translation PLEASEE IM BEGGING honestly i only have one criticism, which was that i really hated what the tornado kid did. that was genuinely so evil and despicable, it broke my heart. but yeah WOW other than that this manhwa was fucking phenomenal. i almost forgot to mention but AHH the art !!! i knew it was so familiar but couldn't put a finger on it until i saw someone mention it. this artist drew the sushi restaurant owner and mermaid manhwa OMG. man the art in this was so fucking good and i'm in LOVE with the character designs. gahh i'm so obsessed with these two i cannot wait to read the side story! 2906 (35.5) NAMDONG WAS NEW TO WEBTOONS AND BL??? LMFAO i saw someone say "I don't know whether to call the mc an asshole or a diva" that is legit how i felt help. his personality is so fucked up yet so interesting. i love how this story addresses alcoholism, workplace abuse of power, violence, stalking, etc, etc. it's really written so well.

290524 the way i gasped when i saw the cover holy fuck it is STUNNING! can't wait to read 170725 dns (26.5) genuinely SO FUCKING SWEET and this is just soo beautifully drawn. i was shocked to see it's in full colour!! at first i was pretty weirded out by the premise tbh (i would've had the exact same reaction as those boys if i saw a highschool boy being sexually aroused by girls at school, then splatter and run around naked LMAO help) but this turned out to be such a cute read! these two are sooo perfect for each other. shio is such a cutie and genuinely so beautiful. i lwk found him kinda insufferable at the start (though extremely funny), but he turned out to be so lovely and likeable! ALSO HIS ALIEN FORM OH MY GODDD wayy too cute omg minato is such a green flag it actually hurts. he's SUCH a sweetheart and incredibly handsome. omg one thing that i'm lwk sad about is that i feel like we don't really learn much about him? of course we learn a l ot through his actions, but he lwk only revolves around shio. i would have preferred if he also had his individual character arc in conjunction with shio's. kinda not the biggest fan of the second couple bc that's literally shio's uncle ???? but im happy for ran regardless, he deserves someone as kind as ria. tho at the same time i lwk don't like how ran treats ria bc it's so done up, all the hitting him but actually liking him shit lmao. i think the author intersected the side couple with the main couple SO well tho, like we we saw glimpses of the side couple but it never overshadowed the main couple. 260725 (6) IM SO EMOTIONAL I'M CRYING THAT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD genuinely SO beautiful. holy crap. this was amazingly well written, well thought out, with such amazing character development and i'm just so captivated by these character's individual traits as well as their dynamics with each other oh my god. this was SO tragic but with such a beautiful and heartwarming ending, my lord this was so good.

280725 (5.5) ok i have so many thoughts lmao. first off, i gotta say i was pretty disappointed abt the positions bc i thought it was just angie topping, but it turns out they're a reversible couple. also i can't lie, i swear all the sex was quite non-consensual. first time was 100% non-con because he was drunk, and then the other time he kept refusing so, tho he did obviously want it, it's just still dubious consent. overall, i found the premise, story and characters quite captivating, so i did enjoy it. also the sex where angie was the top was hot and thankfully that was depicted wayy more than the reverse so yay for me. i'm sad that they're not really in an official relationship by the end. i would prefer a more conclusive ending, but it's still nice enough to leave me pretty satisfied. oh damn wait apparently there is a lot missing and it was on sublime but it's not available anymore rip.
