Cute read, but the uke was just too virginal for me, though it kinda makes sense for him to have that kind of personality considering his profession, he also communicates well, and the seme, though has a cool character profile has quirks here and there too, which is fun. What I don't like much is the 2nd couple, by golly their relationship is toxic af, but you wouldn't notice right away coz it's drawn and paced in a romcom kinda way; the seme is a stalker and he's too into the uke that even as a reader I'm creeped out for the uke, on the other hand, we have a supposedly tsundere uke who's just downright mean for no good reason, he literally abuses the seme verbally and physically but has the gall to bait him with crumbs of affection from time to time, pushing him to give up on him, then saying/doing things that motivates the seme to continue his chase, I thought it was gonna be cutesy during the first chapters, but halfway through, I was just intensely hoping that the seme will finally give up. I don't admire his dedication, it's stupid, masochistic and stupid what a fatal combination. But at least he somehow got what he wanted in the end, so good for him? Still not convinced about the older bro's affection for him tho, coincindentally he also reminds me of the chubby older brother in Mad Cinderella who's also a tsundere and who also has a sucky personality which made me hard to like him til the end. Maybe Tsundere ukes are just not sensei's strong point.

What the heck??!! What the actual heckkkkk! This is sooo frigging good, a definite contender for my top 1 manga, I'd put it on top 2 but it's so close with my first they can alternate no problem. Where do I even start, ahhhh! The character dynamic, the pacing, the right amount of drama, angst, romance, comedy, is just *chef's kiss*. Nothing is dragged on, I was captivated by this work, really. Usually while I'm reading manga/manhuas I have this side comments for myself about the characters and the plot, but not here, I was just happily gliding along the story, and I was actually a bit sad when I reached the end. The art style is reminiscent of ancient japanese art combined with the typical modern manga style, it's so stylized and fun, I like that it's different that way. There's also a love triangle here, sorta, but like I said, nothing gets dragged on and the emotions are just right that even that aspect was handled really well, they even managed to be friends in their old age. old age! Another reason why I abso-freaking-lutely love this, it's such a rare thing to see it in BLs, and even in normal manga where the main couple is actually shown in their old age without either one of them dead or on the verge of dying. The extras on modern AU and the kitty-Yuki were also absolutely adorable, just love this altogether. If I have to nitpick a con to this, it's only this very, minor thing I noticed during the first chapter where the sensei was supposed to come off as a sensible/practical dude who's apathetic enough to ask for corpses so he can make it into medicine for profit, this profile was abandoned quickly in the later chapters in exchange for the wholesome, altruistic doctor profile, which was not out of the blue since it was implied also during the first chapters, however, even when they are faced with a dead body, they no longer seek out this option, still it doesn't affect the story so all's good.

This one's drama alright, but I don't find it angsty, or maybe coz it's blended so well? angsty stories would sometimes make me cringe coz it tries too hard to be emo, but this one is not one of those. The story went smoothly. I was prepared for them not to end up together, but since there was no tragedy tag, I figured, that's not going to be it. I like the characters so much, they feel so alive, the intricacies of long-term relationship and learning to accept the flaws that you once found endearing about someone you love was so nice too. I like how the POVs shifted between the uke and seme so we readers get to understand their sides better. This was no fairytale, not much fluff happens, there are some, but it's more subtle and mostly during the flashbacks when they were just starting to get together, I think this is also a testament to how grounded the author made this. Basically it's just about two people falling in love, getting burned out from love, and deciding to stick together to overcome every hurdles through love. Sounds cheesy, but that's my take. 5/5
