Love at First Fright
The S-Class Guide as Sweet as Honey
A Trace of the Wonder
Completed. Must I say I love BL in this settings? There’s just too less of them, and it’s not guaranteed they are always this good. 1. Happy the seme offered medical help for the uke because he knows he failed in helping him with his ptsd and other mental health issues. 2. Glad the uke accepted getting medical help instead of leaning on just the loving feelings for seme. 3. Happy seme does not really go borderline psycho over everything uke does that doesn’t involve him. 4. Happy seme is not overly jealous aka toxic possessive over uke, aka not allowing uke to even have friends of his own. 5. Happy uke has cool powers and quite an mvp in this world setting. 6. Happy there’s proper description on uke’s trauma, with both seme and uke getting their character development at a nice pace. 7. Happy I like all characters from their Chord team!! 8. All the villains got what their deserved. 9. It wasn’t hyper focused on sex. 10. This story should’ve had special chapters because those last chapters killed me slowly.
The Hunter Wants to Live Quietly
Radio Storm
Yaoi action / apocalyptic / incoming angst It wasn’t angst. It was deep. I liked how it touched on topics that question the boundaries of human ethics, hypocrisy and above all, how helpless humans become in the face of something beyond control/crisis—forgot the word —this is also more than a basic apocalyptic world. I have much hate for several characters, their personality pisses me off and what I found it funny was how much they emphasized core possessors as abnormal while they themselves possessed a twisted their mindset. It goes beyond just being a psycho, they are just heartless, but who can defy you if you are the one at the top? CP was able to run away and are living in hiding, but much better than whatever that “school” was doing to them. I liked this and there’s various quotes I will apply for myself from now on and save. BL with such good plot? Pretty rare. Recommended, but not something I would reread, it takes a toll on you because of how heavy it’s contents are. Everyone is so distorted in this fucking manhwa, unbelievable. From each character, I loved their inner monologues. Sak has a questionable character but it is explained that because he’s a core possessor, he’s sense of things is quite warped. However, because his ‘senpai’ gives him hope on the fact that there’ll be someone out there who will accept him despite his abnormality, he’s finally able to find something to aspire for; or at least, feel or want something. Sak was deprived of many things and in an apocalyptic world, who would be able to grow up in a good environment? Plays a big role overall in how he sees everyone and himself. I believe both him and Lima have insecurities, specially because they have had nothing to begin with and once they found something or someone to hold onto, they feel fear for the first time. Fear that they will lose it. When I read the comments, one of them said that Lima is by heart, a romantic, and I agree. He may act like he isn’t attached to Sak, but he is willing to risk his life for his sake. Moreover, he’s the one who becomes extremely insecure that whatever Sak is feeling is all influenced by the ‘amplifier’. He’s not wrong to think this way, and honestly, anybody would question how real are Sak’s feelings for Lima after discovering he’s being put under the influence that Lima is his ‘caller’. (Gotta also include the fact they have been together for a short period of time). Between both MCs, Lima is the only one who shows the most humanity. Despite all he went through, he still has some sanity. Example being, he doesn’t let Sak attack non-infected despite them being enemies; Sak’s level of sympathy is pretty low. He’s not interested in anything, but he has something with children. In the chapters where he finds a kid and protects him from being killed by Lima, readers would think Sak is doing it because of his childhood and pessimistic view on irresponsible parents trying to survive by using their kids in the most nasty, inhumane ways possible. It’s later explained by Sak, that it was all because he felt Lima’s true feelings. He wanted to ‘save’ the child because Lima himself didn’t want to off the kid since he, himself, is someone with strong PTSD.
