The pacing of the first chapter alone had me swooning. Holy fuck. The utter lack of hesitation to kill characters, the compelling characters who all have their own motives, the harsh truths of human nature, and the cosmic karma that comes with having to deal with the consequences of your actions. I absolutely adore this. All the way down to how all the characters show signs of time passing. My perfect boy ate snakes and moss for 7 years, he can do anything he wants. He’s spent half his life in that massive cave, 14 years of fighting to survive. He can do whatever he wants, anything and everything.
