What’s most annoying to me is Jaehee’s unwillingness to take ownership of his actions. He keeps blaming other factors. This is something that would bother me regardless of his relationship status. This whole story is too hetero and targeted at men to lean into that which is disappointing. The novel might have the missing details about the emperor but I don’t care enough to read it. It’s not absolute garbage. (Ch 57)
