Not having anywhere else Hayato turns to Ryu (albeit indirectly) when his piss fucker of a father tried to pull one over on him. Ryu also gets the urge to protect Hayato based on knowing that the father was sexually abusing his son. Hayato wasn’t ever really, stuck with Ryu. There were no threats made and he was released. Stockholm comes from the need to survive by playing nice with your captors. It’s a whatever at the end. I’m only responding to the tag.
