A lot of overused tropes and cliche fixes, but still enjoyed it. Some areas oddly skipped through, taking only a couple panels when they could have been full chapters, but not parts that were extremely annoying to have skipped like in some stories. The art looks really similar to 100 Ways to Save a Soul Splitter. 37 feels like the end and 38 like a quick side story. Manga updates says there's 40 chapters but it's marked complete on the official English site @38. Licensed on Lalatoon and Toomics, "Can't Defy Fate." Officials from 22 onwards. [Complete] Top pursues, wealth/popularity gap, fated pair. Story feels like the main misunderstanding dragged too long and there wasn't enough shown of them happy together, but I still enjoyed it. I can tell that I read the first couple chapters a long time ago but dropped, almost dropped it again since it truly is very unromantic at the beginning. After they're together I really enjoyed it. Second season had flat art with no emotion, generic looking MC/ML, standard ML overbearing behavior, etc. It was announced that the artist changed but the writing changed for sure as well, maybe their heart wasn't in it anymore. Their wholesome dynamic and chemistry just wasn't there anymore. Honestly if you read again just stop after S1, it won't feel like an end but at least it'll be enjoyable. Just know that they go on to fully imprint any have a daughter, MC's family is never heard from and ML has loving parents. The assistant manager got what was coming to him. Official on Tappytoon, officials are here. Based on a novel. Season 2 is a different artist. Edit: gdi now I know why there's so many complaints about the change. I loved the season 1 art. Apparently the lore is that Korean readers complained about the first season artist for some reason, but that artist brought so much life and emotion into the characters. The new art style completely changed the vibe and makes it feel like I'm reading about strangers, like some scenes got pasted in from another story that I care nothing about. Since the change happened right at the start of the mature scenes it just feels like I'm reading generic PWP instead of the story I had become very invested in. I was confused why the rating for the series was so low when I loved it so much, and thought there was no way an art change could make me hate it. I was wrong. The art feels flat and there's no emotion anymore, and the ML no longer looks like an ML. Whoever complained I hope you're happy.
