A huge chunk at the beginning is just world building tacked on, instead of more skillfully integrated into the story, but it's a good novel once you're past that. I'm so sad they got rid of so much of the hilarious blatant flirting from the ML in the manhwa. In the novel, the ML is much more endearing and charming, but here they cut out a lot of the small scenes that help build that view of him.
