This ended up being so much sweeter than I expected. The plot is intricate, thought-out, well written, beautifully illustrated. This is definitely a series to read sober the first time, it can be tough to follow if you're not focused. I'm honestly impressed by a comic in a way I never have been before; I've never seen a murder mystery detective story in this genre and it was well executed. The last couple chapters wrapped up kinda quick, but the ending went where it needed to go. I'm hoping the side stories will fix the rush of the ending, and I still have a couple plot pieces I want to see followed through on (Ideun's responsibilities with Hasung, what happens to Sungmin (second brother), details on the political cartel's fall from grace, maybe some repercussions for ML's old boss). EDIT: none of those questions were answered and the few side story chapters we got were even more rushed, honestly disappointed since it was such a great main story. Officials on Lezhin. Accidentally deleted my old notes. The series has violence but the actual relationship with the couple is surprisingly cute. ML has a deep, profound love for MC, he's just got a stoic face. Gruff exterior but so gentle towards MC. Both of them make decisions that I don't agree with but somehow it never frustrated me too much. Enemies to lovers. Frustrating at times because of just how obstinate MC is, and stressful at the thought that ML could be deceiving him. But in ML's POV it showed that he gave onto his feelings real quick which settled the anxiety.
