Just sorta shockingly wholesome?? Top isn't a bad guy just put into an awful situation. Summary: "Life sure is ruff, especially when you’re Gyeon Heeseong. Frustrating at times, and a lot of their past is implied rather than stated outright, but maybe that's an homage to the title. Not everything needs to be written. Absolutely terrible official translation (at least for S1); the tone is too childish. That being said, the actual comic itself is often just contrived and awkward, which doesn't help. It's cheesy way too frequently for it to be fun, and some parts of the main story feel like small side stories clumped together rather than one cohesive story. The end was intended to be dramatic and could have been good if it had more setup. A couple getting together in the early chapters never bodes well for the story as a whole. The series is pretty fluffy in general until around 26. End of 26 and beginning of 27 is non-con conflict between MC and the director that's obsessed with him. The art improves dramatically in season 2 (starting episode 31). The increase in art, translation and slightly less cringe barely convinced me to not drop it (had the intention to drop it after season 1). The whole story is just a ton of non-con and dub-con but for some reason I enjoyed the story. Maybe because it happened between two people who have feelings for each other and just treat each other terribly. The story would have been longer but the author died while the series was ongoing. The vibe of the start of the story is worrying, but the ML is actually a pretty genuine person and isn't fucking around as much as it comes across that he is. This story is so much more wholesome than I expected when I started it. I always feel kinda sad/have some mortality dread when there's a mixture of mortal and immortal characters, but I really enjoyed the story and the characters made mortality choices that made sense for them. I'm just glad we got to see their children's children old enough to talk and grow. Even though it's 135 chapters complete it seems like everyone wanted more, but with the choices the characters made and the mix of mortality a continued story would inevitably be sad. It stopped where it should, even though I'll miss them. My only wish would have been that we got to see the triplets enjoying their life with other kids like them, since their parents never got to have that.
