I did like the scene our mc just rejected him and told him he is getting married. I like it because even after everything the MC and The Beta found happiness together. So yea. That's like saying it's never too late and I loved their kid's pov on this matter. Being Marked has nothing to do with being Partners. His parents are partners and are happy even though his mom is a 'marked' omega. Also also I hate that most stories in omegaverse bind the Omega to the Alpha but not the Alpha to the Omega. What the hell! At least werewolf stories in wattpad had mutual binding for mates but again despite that the omega can still be happy with the Beta partner who he loves and who loves him. So cool.
