Tora and Hikaru were childhood friends from rival families who eventually became lovers, so when Tora hears that Hikaru died in an accident, he can't live anymore and decides to end his life. Only to awaken 250 years in the future with an android who calls himself "Hikaru-B". It turns out his parents wanted their son to get the love he deserved and set it up for him to be cyrogenically frozen and awakened when technology allowed for an android of Hikaru to be created, but living together, Tora can't help but find all the ways in which Hikaru-B isn't quite right. Just when he starts to get past all this and accept Hikaru-B for who he is, the android is suddenly replaced by Hikaru-A, who says he was meant to be Tora's companion all along and is a much better simulacrum of the departed Hikaru. But now Tora has decided Hikaru-B is the one he wants at his side, even if it takes another 250 year long journey to reunite them. This story is very dramatic, but so far-fetched that I felt silly for bawling my eyes out over it. I don't think I would read it again, but I do think the emotions were well depicted.
