9.5/10, ch 77.5, 1:11, 2/7/25: okay since batoto is down right now, lemme just say what my after thoughts are. 10/10 characters: amazing characters. amazing. motivations: i guess since this is a romance, it wasn't very clear what their motivations were. ibeom's motivations were pretty clear, it's because he has a good family and friends and wants to help people (I think). strengths: their strengths were very well defined. they're well-matched. let's see.. ibeom is a tsundere, gets things done, not very communicative, shy, but also meticulous. jungoh however, is a bit impulsive, very healthy and secure, is outgoing enough to get ibeom to come out of his shell. very cute. i just realized we barely know anything about jungoh. I'm trying to think of his lore and nothing comes up. we have basically ibeoms whole life though. flaws... ibeom def went through char development, and accepted that he should get help. that was pretty nice. definitely ibeom overall needs to be more active in voicing his opinions and thoughts. lets see. jungoh.. jungoh's main flaw is his impulsivity mb. and he's a bit dumb. i guess that's really all I can think of LOL. OKAY I'M BACK FROM WRITING ABOUT THE PLOT. the characters are extremely well balanced and actually seem 3D. their personalities are consistent and don't really bend so the plot can progress that much. every single interaction and panel of them byselves exudes their personality (and their love for each other) all of their preferences are very fitting. right. so the side characters and the main "antagonist" was such a plot twist man. i first thought it was going to be the brother for the nightmare seedling, but it wasn't? it was actually jungoh which is crazy. and when the story progressed, you realize that this character isn't just one dimensional for the sake of the plot, he (assuming because he took jungoh's form) just wants to live. and I can tell that the nightmare seedling genuinely enjoyed the time he spent with ibeom, which kind of hurts my heart a little. it's easy to write in black and white, but it's harder to write in gray. it was so nice to see the boss from the first dream in later chapters, because you realize that what others see might be different from the person they actually are. he just cares for his daughter man. AND ALSO, UNLIKE MANY MANY MANY MANGAS I'VE READ, THE ML ACTUALLY HAS A LOVING AND SUPPORTIVE FAMILY!!!!!! YIPPPEPEEEE!!! though, once again we didn't really go into that much about the characters other than ibeom, so.. side stories? (jk) 10/10 plot: man this plot was SOOOO GOOOD I haven't read something this original in a while. let's see. the main premise of this story turns into a vehicle for the characters to develop their romance through various settings, that's pretty genius. and how the plot developed, it was all clearly planned and well thought out, since little hints from earlier chapters did help build into later chapters. very cool. OH WAIT I'M GOING BACK TO CHARACTERS I FORGOT TO TALK ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE. exposition: good exposition, getting to know the characters through what they do. very good dynamic. rising action, things really started to progress once the convenient plot device (jinx) was used. points off of that because you could've done something else for that but also points gained because I understand not wanting to think how to make the characters do something uncharacteristic of them. climax... the fire scene. that was.. really sad. also ibeom has deductive reasoning. the way that the nightmare seedling cared, by slowly burning away from ibeom breaks my HEART I TELL YOU MY HEART HURTS!!! climax? yeah the smut scenes were really good as well. falling action: there was the affect of the memory thing yippee! the falling action was very sweet, and was handled really nicely. resolution: uh there wasn't really a resolution, that I guess they gonna live forever together setting: worldbuilding okay. explained through pamphlet and plot device (jinx) didn't really go in depth of what a jinx was, how the dreams really worked, really all of this was just a plot device, wasn't really deep dived. pov: okay I know nobody cares but you know during amnesia sub plots it's usually not from the perspective of the character who lost their memory, but it was such a nice way to explore how jungoh dealt with trying to remember again. i think it was valid for him to be jealous of the other jungoh since he's frustrated with himself and doeesn't like it when his lover likes someone better than the person he is now. 5. conflict. there wasn't any big big big conflict that spanned throughout the story, it was more of a conflict between ibeom and ibeom, fighting for what he wants. execution: art good. hands good. anatomy so good. man jungoh is so hot. pacing... the pacing is actually good. it's difficult to want to rush to a smut scene because it can be very polarizing if they immediately have sex. pacing overall, AMAZING!!!! DIALOGUE... dialogue.. i guess I didn't really try to pay attention, but the dialogue is very natural except for when jungoh and ibeom talk to each other because I've never been in a romantic relationship (I know). originality: good. nothing I've ever seen before. 8. I don't think the author ever attempted to draw to write less. 9. obviously this wouldn't happen irl.
