Haven’t read a good action/murim manhwa like this in a long while. This was sooo good!! If I could rate it more than 5 stars, I would!! It’s not reincarnation per se. It’s like Chung Myung from Return of the Mount Hua Sect. Different body & years into the future instead of same body & in the past. Not quite sure how power-scaling is done in this fic considering how easy things seem to be for mc but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I love his teacher/master and his sister. Also love the Tang clan patriarch even though he’s only been in one scene so far. I have a feeling he’s gonna be a supporter of mc or an ally at least. He went to the forge where mc is getting his weapon made and decided to help the blacksmith create his weapon LOL. No fmc so far and I hope it stays that way!! Looking forward to more omg. This story was annoying af. Weak mc, weak fmc (who’s introduced in literally the first chapter wtf), and mc’s ancestor is weak af too. They’re all so fuckin useless goddamn. Premise was pretty cool and ancestor is attractive but he’s like a knockoff version of Kayden from Eleceed cuz he’s in dog form 99% of the time. Except Kayden can actually do shit if he has to. Ancestor? Nope! Utterly useless. Frustrating af. Was not expecting how creepy the horror aspect was. This was just disappointing all around. Read up to chapter 18 as of Friday, January 10th, 2025 - Saturday, January 11th, 2025.

Love how mc is the leader even though he’s just a cook. Love how everyone believed him about awakening after one simple demonstration. Love how mc can influence people’s emotions with his cooking. This was such a good read and a different take on the awakened/monsters aspect. No such thing as dungeons (as far as we know). The purpose of the monsters is actually to occupy the military bases which is really cool cuz usually it’s just to slaughter everything in their path. Love how everyone trusts in mc despite him being a cook and he’s basically the uncontested leader. Was funny how mc’s superior was basically drugged with mc’s food and now he’s addicted to it so he obeys and helps mc with survivors cuz the survivors only listen to someone of a higher rank at first. Really freakin good story and it’s from the military perspective. Reminds me Steel-Eating Player though tbh I think this is better. So glad there were 57 chapters cuz I’ve been reading 24-26 chapter stories today so it gave me a lot more to read. No fmc’s so far (thankfully). There’s status screens, job classes and skills, and even zombies. It encompasses a bunch of stuff so it’s actually really interesting!! Wish there was more *sobs*. Mc is wild af. His unique ability is resurrection and he’s died numerous times already so ig it’s understandable that he’s psychotic but at least he doesn’t hurt innocent civilians or anything like that. He’s merciless to his enemies (which I can def get behind) but loves his family and wants to protect them. He’s about to establish his own guild and he already has two guild members. He also knows two guild masters, a vice-guild master, and a government employee. I find it stupid how mc decided to hide that he was a tutorial champion or whatever it’s called when you pass all 8 stages of the tutorial. Like… what was the point of that? None. It doesn’t seem like him at all to hide his identity like that. Author just wanted to do the “secretly overpowered” trope where mc hides his abilities. Except he doesn’t hide his abilities at all except for when he’s in the hunter training program. Utterly stupid. Despite that, this was such a really good story.
