Tbh if I was mc2 I would’ve given up on mc1 I couldn’t stand him in the beginning. The confession scene felt kinda rushed since it kinda came outta nowhere but that might just be me. I think it was chapter 40 or smth. They only get together in the last chapter (sob) but I liked that we got to see the pure bamboozled expression on the chief’s face when finding out mc1 and mc2 were dating. Hilarious af. Love how the coworkers shipped them. Both boss x employee and coworkers cuz mc1 was the senior field agent while mc2 was the newbie but they also worked together as partners so they were coworkers too. Felt it was kinda stupid how two main female characters had the name Rachel: Mc2’s sister/mother (fucked up) and the villainess. Went into this thinking mc2 was a special type of vampire and was very disappointed that he was a regular old human with slightly special blood. The blood barely mattered anyway, just meant that in the climax of the story that mc2 didn’t die when the villainess bit him. Love love loved the art for this. Dark haired mc1 and blond mc2. Reminded me of Kill The Lights cuz of their hair colors.

Idk when I added this but I skimmed the s1 finale (ch44) just now (Sunday, October 5th, 2025) and will read this when season 2 starts. Also, marking it as “reading” so I won’t forget about it. S1 ends with mc1 realizing he can’t run from his feelings for mc2 anymore and mc2 had already confessed. Honestly from that one chapter I’m in love with mc2 and seriously looking forward to season 2. Also read some comments saying they’re both mature and have good communication so WOO.

Honestly the side stories were 100x better than the main story. Main story had too much smut and mc2 was cute yet wouldn’t take no during sex so it kinda ruined things for me. Also, main story ended without them getting outed to their coworkers which is kinda a shame cuz I wanted to see their reactions. Also, wish mc1’s other friends got to meet mc2 in person. The only friend who met mc2 didn’t even know mc1 and mc2 were together so that was pointless too. Ugh. Felt like they could’ve expanded more on Mc2’s background and given me what I wanted. That said, mc2 was daamn attractive and the side stories were *almost* perfect (too short w/ only 14 chaps) so I’m giving it a 4-star. Side stories had animal characteristics and shapeshifting and mc2 was top boss. Except he was only introduced to the village in the last chapter which I found stupid. Also, there’s more of the au on twitter (X now ig) but they’re not translated or published. I had to see them on bato’s comment section. I know I’ve read this at least once before. Lawyer x lawyer. Haven't read it yet because I started reading latest chapter (39) first and it starts off with the bottom saying he's going on a blind date and the top basically telling him to just go ahead. Then we see top at/in his car replaying memories of them together and hating that he said what he did. Definitely wait for more chapters to come out. It updates every day ending in 5 (5th, 15th, 25th). Added: Friday, March 10th, 2023. Edit: read this on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 - Thursday, May 1st, 2025. Really enjoyed this. Mc2 was an absolute dickbag in the beginning but he warms up to mc1 a lot and I even called him a cinnamon roll in my head too. Not to say he can’t still be an asshole I’m later chapters – cuz he definitely can be – but he’s also really freakin sweet to mc1. What I worried about before was a misunderstanding. They had kissed (a peck) the chapter before and mc1 warns mc2 about the blind date hoping mc2 would stop it from happening and confess his feelings. They finally got together and had their first proper kiss (make out session, more like) in chapter 47. There was a little hiccup when mc2 thought mc1 might’ve been using him to mc2 to take on mc1’s sister’s case. She’s being abused by her husband, wants a divorce, alimony, and the kids. The husband was also the one to push for mc1’s blind date bc the person he was going on dates with would’ve been helpful to have on the husband’s side. It’s reaching the climax of the story – I think – bc mc2 is in the process of going through all the evidence mc1’s sister collected after agreeing to take on the case. Chapters after 90 are fan translated sadly but definitely still very understandable and readable. Just used a more formal tone for the writing ig? Was a little weird. I had docs this story on my own all that time ago but Lexi has been reading it recently and kept recommending it to me so I finally watched it.

Perfectly written. Closeted gay otaku mc1 x cool & suave mc2. Both teachers. Introvert x extrovert. Neighbors trope too.
