The Music Box Of Petals

Complete | Nuroo | 2000 released

Yaaaasss this is so good!!! Chapter 26 so far. The characters are all so defined and likable. Summary: There exists, in this world, muses, a type of human that must be wound by a key in his/her neck (where a keyhole sits) in order to function and prevent rusting. These humans, who are rare but not wholly uncommon, can give their keys to people called conductors, who they are supposed to trust and have the position of winding the key for the muse. In exchange, the conductor can hear the music of the muse who entrusted their key to them. The mc is a human that can hear the sound of any muse, whether or not s/he has handed his/her key to the mc. He can't turn their sound off, and many muses in one classroom means a cacophony of noises in his head, and has always hated muses as a result. The main character, after one trauma at his last school with a particular muse, has come to another school where he knows (somehow?) that this school doesn't have many muses. He then encounters one (whose music sounds beautiful to him), and the rest is history. ~Chapter 50

Big master and little master live together, two vampires whose relations are a mystery. A student (potential student) named Hansoo lives there and works for the family. Big master couldn't care less about human life, while small master only cares about finding a way to become human. An excellent exploration on what it means to be human in the setting of a blood bank business run by two vampires. ~Chapter 27

29-year old salary man Ibuki has terrible luck/judgment when choosing and dating men. He has a thing for another office worker (who he mostly sees as eye-candy) and misses the advances/crush of his younger office coworker, Touma, who misunderstands Ibuki's glances in his direction as affection for him. Later, at an office welcoming party, Touma uses the chance when Ibuki's outside of the bar for a smoke to make a move on him...and they tumble into bed once they leave the work party (at the uke's urging). Ibuki changes his mind at the end of the first chapter from wanting the night to be a one-time thing and gives himself the chance to have a normal romance with someone who truly seems like a catch. 3rd chapter had a different story ~Chapter 3

This Can't Be Love

Ongoing | Singnanda | 2000 released

Actually pretty funny, but sometimes crossing the line. However, the dynamic between him and the uke is pretty different in the fact that I feel like the seme respects his personality (though not his boundaries). Despite being omegaverse, this is pretty good. ~ Chapter 8 Update: Mmm...chapter 7 was a little off. I'm gonna keep reading it though, but I don't like the creepy, possessive stuff and the promise of violence if something "wrong" was done.

We Are Not Friends

Ongoing | Zhi Wu Ah | 2019 released

Ooooh! I like the back and forth chemistry between them (sort of a love-hate situation, and an unwanted-yet-unavoidable relationship for -- if we have to put them into boxes -- the 'seme'). Dang -- the drummer definitely, definitely gets underneath the director's skin. Ha ha ha, I'm looking forward to it :p

Furachi na Boku o Aishitamae

Ongoing | Machida Tomato | 2000 released

What an odd dynamic...I first thought the manga was going to fall into usual tropes, but it surprised me. I thought the point of him saying that he had different values than society was important and interesting... and who's to say that you can't see something new in yaoi, but I like how the seme completely had a newfound respect for the uke. In these types of situations, what ends up happening is the seme disrespects the uke and finds his behavior 'degrading' and 'shameful,' which in my opinion is stupid because nobody in this scenario has a steady, monogamous partner. I'm looking forward to the rest of the chapters ~ Summary: An ordinary mail officer ends up having sex with a complete and utter weirdo during his shift, who uses sexual experiences for his erotic material in his books. I liked the concepts of him being not okay with it, but also not disrespecting the person who he ends up having sex with. ~Chapter 2

Musebinake, Junjou

Complete | Matsumoto yoh | 2019 released

There are beast humans in this world, as well as regular humans, who are zone-cut off in different areas based on previous designations of the law. There is Yuki, a half-beast, and Goudai, his friend/savior/mentor, who works for the anti-beast police department (basically like the DEA, that enforces the border between humans and beasts). Yuki and Goudai have something, especially since they started living together. However, Yuki has never told any human his secret; and he just got exposed in the last chapter that I read (chapter 4). Who knows what will happen next? ~Chapter 4

Ooof! Man that was hotTTTT!!! I can't wait 'til the next chapter is uploaded. I would NEVER want to be in a relationship -- but I'm glad that, in some ways, both are getting what they want; and man, if chapter 6 wasn't just the worst cockblock, with time before I get to read chapter 7. :'I ~ Chapter 12 PS: This takes lack of communication to a whole 'nother level entirely :8O
